Beautiful property. Tranquil setting. A great spot from which to explore the island. Our greatest challenge was finding the location in the pouring rain. We went by the gate at least 6 times. A sign at the gate would have been appreciated. Although we were hours late and had no cell service to communicate with the host, the housekeeper was waiting for us with a smile. For that we were extremely relieved and grateful. You won’t be disappointed with this rental property.

It took us a bit to get to know the area, and we loved the location. Lavinia was so kind. She arranged a tour for us and let us borrow a cooler. I would stay here again.

The property was lovely, especially its location to the ocean. Two things that need to be addressed. 1) windows in the bathroom do not have screens and were open upon our arrival. The house was full of mosquitoes. 2) While the bathrooms were renovated and very beautiful, the kitchen is extremely outdated. The oven had to be lit from inside and had no settings for temperature. This was explained by the housekeeper after trying to figure it out ourselves.

On private dark sand beach. Paddle board and kayak every morning. Beautiful back deck area with pool table overlooking beach. Lots of room.

The Arue beach house was a great place to start our Tahiti adventure. Lovina showed us places and tricks of the local life in Tahiti that we would have never experienced if we had stayed at a resort. The a/c in each bedroom was great, everything worked as intended and the ease of renting the van was the best!!! Thank you Lovina, we wish you the best!!!!

We stayed with two sisters and their husbands - total of 6 adults. The property was clean and ready for us. Plenty of room for all three couples and luggage. The kithchen was well stock and we used it for breakfasts and dinner preparation. It had great direct access to the beach - walking and snorkeling. The air conditioning in each bedroom was excellent. The hosts were excellent to get us settled and were immediately available to help or answer questions. I would definitely stay and recommend this property.

As always, we had a great time visiting the beautiful land of Tahiti. Instead of a resort on Bora Bora or Moorea, we ended our stay at this beachfront property and it was the perfect way to end our trip. Our host (Lovina) was truly amazing. She let us drop our bags a few hours before our official check-in time and even let us hang out (out of the way, of course) while they prepped for our arrival. When it was time to check out, once again, she was incredibly accommodating. She coordinated to have someone give us a private 5-hour tour of the island on our last day so we could stay out of her hair while she prepped for the next guests and she was thoughtful enough to keep one bathroom open for us after our tour. She also dropped us at a dinner location on the last night and later took us to the airport. On the first day, she brought us a beautiful platter of fruit grown right on her property, which, incidentally sits right on a black sand beach with a great view. The house itself is nothing fancy but it really does give you the sense that you're staying in a typical Tahitian family home (as opposed to the more upscale places like the one we were previously in). The kitchen was very basic but met our needs. The bedrooms and baths were fine. We spent most of the time hanging out in the covered backyard patio. We even managed to get in a few games of pool. Hard to beat the setting for that one! The location was great and the James Norman Hall museum (almost directly across the street) is a fascinating place with a surprisingly good restaurant, staffed with typically friendly Tahitians who know how to take care of hungry tourists. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience that we'd highly recommend.

Lovina and her family were so sweet. It was great to stay somewhere and get the true experience of life in Tahiti, not a manufactured resort. It was great to have a kitchen and we rented a van from Lovina. The beach is right out the door. We highly recommend a stay here.

We had a very nice stay. Right on the beach, beautifully kept, best supplied kitchen we have seen in our several VRBO stays.

My wife and I stayed at this home for the last couple of days on our honeymoon. It was super cozy, and Tepiu was a wonderful hostess! We appreciated the personal touches around the house, the beverages in the fridge, and overall vibe of the home. Dog Pepsi was a complete sweetheart! We would stay again and recommend to others. We needed a place to stay for eight adults for two nights and the Sweet Tahiti house was the perfect setting. We went swimming in the water and loved the outdoor showers. The owner could not have been nicer and more accommodating. She even offered to set up a day trip for us.

Great place.

Our host Tepiu (who also goes by Lovina) and her husband Wilfred were excellent hosts. She communicated with us beforehand to recommend tours and give us directions. We got lost on the way to her house (because our phone service wasn't working) and so she came and led us to her house. The property is just as described and seen in the pictures. The beach is steps from the house and very quiet. Their dog, Pepsi is so sweet and such a good companion. She loved walking along the beach with me. Tepiu got us a "locals" deal on the Albert Lagoon tour. If you want to go on that tour, ask her to book it for you and will save. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The fridge and freezer are full sized so there is plenty of space. The air conditioners are in each bedroom and work great. The paddleboard, kayaks, and snorkeling gear are convenient. The whole back door/window slides open so you have an uninterrupted view and breeze from the ocean. We really got a true island living experience.

Tepiu met us at the port and generously took us to a large market on the way to the house. Comfortable, spacious and beautiful home on the beach. Quiet neighborhood and fantastic ocean views. Very sweet dog, Pepsi, kept us company on the patio, well behaved and never once came inside even though the doors remained open. Large bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. We would love to return some day.

Well named, this 'Sweet Tahitian Beach House' was a wonderful place to stay and regain our land legs before flying back to Canada after our 10 day catamaran excursion. Our lovely hostess, Tepiu, was more than welcoming and graciously made us feel at home, like visiting family, offering the use of kajaks, and snorkeling gear as well us giving information on the city, where to eat, and places to see on this island. The spacious apartment is very comfortable, clean and perfectly located on a beautiful black sand beach in Arue, just a few minutes drive from downtown Papeete. Three bedrooms give lots of room a large family. We were just two couples though, and were more than comfortable in two of the bedrooms with a private bathroom each. The offer to rent Tepiu's vehicle as well as her picking us up and dropping us off at the airport added to the ease and comfort of this stay. We enjoyed every moment and would have loved to stay longer if our schedules had allowed! Thank you Tepiu!

Property was exactly as represented. We snorkeled right off our patio. Hostess picks you up at the airport or pier, will rent you a van even exchanges money. We highly recommend!

This house has everything at your fingertips. The owners are on site if you need anything. It had the black sand beach right in your backyard.

I can’t say enough about this place. The owners are fantastic. This home is located on probably one of the best beaches on the island. There is everything close by. We drove the island and saw that this is a great location to stay. Owners arranged to make a valley trip for us. Always available for anything.

We enjoyed out time in Arué. We had fun identifying all the trees on the property and loved being right next to the beach.
