La vista
Hay engaños en su anuncio, ya que promete habitaciones con tina, y es mentira, prometen desayunos y ni siquiera cuentan con restaurante.

The property was beautiful and located right on the lagoon. I enjoyed the over water deck as well as having use of their kayaks.
The bed linens were not comfortable at all.

Beautiful dock on the lagoon with shade and seating, close to town, and it was so peaceful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
not much! the rooms are a bit outdated but the outside was beautiful which is where we spent most of our time.

It was easy to get to and close to town.
It was pricey. They didn’t even offer a cup of coffee.

lovely place with it’s grass and little beach right on the water’s edge. loved all the wonderful seating areas, especially hammocks touching the water! so great to have the palapa out the on the lake.
my lazy self did get used to the walk into town, but they should bring the whole town about 5-10 minutes closer to you guys, ya know.

The lagoon is nice, but not worth it.
We were booked for one night, but as our travel plans changed we were arriving in Bacalar one night earlier. I called the same morning asking to extend our booking. I saw on booking that they had avalible rooms for 67$ per night (our original booking was 75$). But as we already had a booking and also were arriving late at night after check in, we called just to be sure that it would be ok with late check in and to have the same room for two nights. I mentioned that I saw the rooms on booking, but we were told they could assist us over phone so we booked during the call. Arriving at the hotel they said we had to pay 2000 pesos/100usd for the room. I questioned it as booking was way cheaper for the same day (ofc we could have booked there directly but as mentioned we called to extend the already existing booking) and at least we expected the same rate as the one we had - when it was even cheaper online now - and the fact that they didnt mention anything about another rate over the phone. The answer was ”it’s a fixed rate for walk in Bookings, the reception prices are fixed”. First of all, this place is far on the edge of town so not really walk in. And second, being that we called earlier and were extending a current booking, the way of handling this from the hotel is super unprofessional not informing us about this ”fixed rate”. I argued but the man in the reception only spoke spanish and we wouldnt have a room for the night if we didnt pay. The next day when I questioned this again (using whatsapp as it was the same man in reception) I got the reply that they were sorry about ”lack of communication and misunderstanding” but they were absolutely not willing to solve the situation or get the price fixed. I messaged multiple times. It really bothers me because it was 100% an easy way for them to take advantage and make some extra cash.

it was right on the water with two hammocks a bit IN the water and so many choices to hang out. the cabana out on the water, cabana on the roof or hammocks, tables and chairs on the grass. staff were so friendly and ready to answer questions.
property great but a little shorter walk to food would be ok.

The small hotel is in a quiet area and right on the lagoon with a lovely dock. The rooms are large and comfortable. Although it’s a long walk to the center of town there it a fine restaurant about four blocks away. Taxis are inexpensive here as well. Also, I used one of the two kayaks one morning for a lovely tour of the little bay.
The rooms facing the lagoon are more expensive and the rooms need some minor maintenance. Some people may miss having food or drinks here- we didn’t care.

We liked the location and the view from the top. We also liked the breakfast and the dock on the lagoon where we liked to spend most of our time. Town is only a very short drive from here. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved being on the lagoon!
bare room- hardly any extra furniture, kind of a gross bathroom, there was no handle on the door to get into the room.

The only thing we liked about the guesthouse was the location. The hotel's dock was also chill and private. Besides the fact that it was on the lake, the hotel really didn't have much to rave about. It's a house with just a few rooms. Our room had a lake view, but it wasn't clean (especially the bathroom) and the bed was really uncomfortable. It was definitely not worth 80euros/night.
The rooms need to be cleaned well and updated. The bed has a poor quality mattress, everything in the bathroom is rusty, and there's a terrible smell coming from the pipes. There's also no breakfast at the hotel - only self service coffee and tea. I don't mind paying for breakfast, but there should at least be an option. It's a 5-minute drive to town, but those without a car have to walk at least 15 minutes to get breakfast. Jaguara Restaurant next door is fantastic, but it's also expensive and only open from 2 to 11pm.

Location-right on the Lagoon it was amazing. There was a very nice restaurant just three house down from Casita Maya so relaxing the staff amazing and welcoming. We had many options as we could stay in and order meals in if we wanted. We had a massage right in front of our room door beyond amazing!!! A total do over!!!

Good location. Lovely dock. Staff provided lots of options for activities and also ordered food for us from different local eateries. There is no breakfast (just pretoasted packaged bread and coffee) but the coffee was nice in the morning.
Room wasn't completely clean. Shower in particular was dirty. Not much general cleaning happening throughout the day. No double kayak. Kayaks were charged extra ($150 an hour). Ordered breakfast and it took 1.5 hours to arrive.

The staff was very good and caring, they get us places to ask for delivery food, taxis, tours and every we could need.
The place is far from the center, rent a car it’s so much cheap than paying taxis everywhere

Hotel location and view is excellent.
Stayed Two nights, they didn't clean the room at all, had to use same towels, only One Toilet Paper roll. call reception No answer, I receive help and advise from one guy who was on training ( Leon ) beside him no one care about you.
No one give you information regarding activities or places to visit. In the morning they only offer you Coffee.
Price was right, but definitely never come back. Find a lot of hotel near by with the same prices
Lot of mosquitos all over and some frogs
