We absolutely adored this property! It is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The beds were great, the decor was homey and having the fire on ready for our arrival was heaven. The only thing which was a shame.... the location on the main road and the trucks thundering past at 5am! Can't be helped of course, but something to consider if you're a light sleeper and need your rest. Otherwise, faultless!

Compton Manor was a beautiful home. The bedrooms were spacious and beds were so comfortable, had the best sleep. We really enjoyed the cosy lounge room, sitting in front of the gas log fire on a cold winters night. Perfect home away from home.

We loved our stay at Compton Manor Horsham. The house itself was beautifully decorated with everything that we needed. The bedrooms were spacious and there was plenty of off street parking. The house was spotless and in great condition, we had a lovely time as a family getting together for a long weekend for my Dad's birthday. Danielle was a perfect host, she sent through all the information we needed, and although the fire was not working at the time of our visit, she let us know the best way to keep the house warm, and went in ahead of our check in to put the other heaters on. We'd 100% recommend this as a great place to stay, it's in a lovely spot, on a relatively main road but out of the business of the main Horsham centre, great spot for enjoying the area. Such a lovely period home. Spotlessly clean and a great outdoor area with bbq. I was in Horsham for work and brought my parents along with their small dogs. It was very dog friendly with bowls and an outdoor bed for them. Highly recommend Danielle as a host with her beautiful house. Thank-you! if available for my future work dates I will definitely book again.

Compton Manor was a joy to stay in. It was very clean & comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and it was a wonderful homely experience.

Loved everything about this property - super clean, comfortable beds, clear and prompt communication with owner. Really appreciated the evaporative cooling being left on for us as it was a 35 degree day when we arrived.

Compton Manor is a lovely spot to stay in Horsham. It is well presented and has been thoughtfully setup to cater for a relaxing stay. I will definitely stay there again.

The property was immaculate and clearly well-kept. I took my elderly father for the weekend and both the double bedrooms we stayed in were large and comfortable. The beds and pillows were particularly comfortable making for a good night's rest.

A couple of girlfriends and I had a 3 night stay in this place.It was a lovely period house, nice and clean, kitchen was very well equipped and the cookware was of good quality. Beds were comfy and the 2 front rooms really spacious, however in one of the front rooms some kind of air freshener had been used and the smell was overwhelming and made the first night difficult to sleep. I would recommend to stay during the weekend since the traffic was very heavy and noisy early in the morning on the weekdays. We also noticed a cctv camera at the back door which made us a bit uncomfortable and if it was working, I believe we should have been informed prior to our trip. There’s only 1 bathroom which was fine for us but if you travel and fill up the beds, it might be a queue for the shower and toilet. Overall we enjoyed our visit and the house has a good vibe and lovely decor. Katarina

Great old house and location

A great place to stay for a few days away. Comfortable, excellently furnished and equipped. Very relaxing, especially reading by the fire and in the garden. Good central location.

Such a nice place. We wished we could stay longer. Everything you could ask for. Great yard for our two dogs. Great location to explore the Grampians!

Enjoyed the stay

Such a great property which completely suited our stay. Close to everything and really well equipped. Having the heaters going when we arrived was greatly appreciated in the cold, and the beds were so comfortable and warm I wished I could have there all day! Highly recommended and I hope to stay again.

Relaxing

Compton Manor Horsham was even more beautiful in real life. The main Living Room is so comfy, warm & inviting. You could just stay in this room all day and relax. Two beautifully furnished large main bedrooms with King Beds and two further bedrooms for children and teens to enjoy. A large kitchen with appliances, tea, coffee, sugar, etc for you to enjoy, plus a bathroom with separate toilet and a separate laundry to wash your clothes when the need arrives. Drive straight to the back yard where you will find a double carport at the back door entrance to park the car/s. Large backyard with cubby for the kids to play safely, and beautifully landscaped front garden. Only a very short drive to the main shopping area of town, and a great meal was enjoyed for dinner at ‘Bull & Mouth’ Hotel, but make sure to book as it is a popular dining location. Thank you Danielle for great communication regarding check-in details prior to arrival, and for promptly replying to our query on arrival. Danielle has provided a truly beautiful accommodation experience for all to enjoy..would definitely stay here again!! Be sure to check out the Silo Art trail in this part of Victoria..travel west to Goroke, Kaniva, and north to Albacutya, Sea Lake & Nullawil. There is also a historical Railway Station in Serviceton on the Victorian side of the SA border worth a look. A local gave us a tour of the inside of the station where the rooms were filled with nostalgia and history. A magical short stay & experience.

Great home and location

Beautiful, very spacious, extremely well maintained, comfy and elegant home. Walking distance to town although it is on the main road so can be a bit noisy but nothing too bad. Well stocked pantry and kitchen with everything required. Lovely backyard. Very private. Good host. Gorgeous master bedrooms….there are 2 with 2 king beds although only 1 bathroom. All round a great find in Horsham.

The pre arrival info was good and we could find no fault with Compton Manor. Great location if you are doing the Silo Trail, can walk into the town centre. The ambiance was great - quiet and cosy, was a pity we couldn't stay longer but we will be back.

Compton Manor is a lovely renovated period home that is ideal for a family and pet friendly holiday. A perfect location in Horsham to provide easy access to the Grampians and the Wimmera Region. The home was beautifully presented and well appointed to meet all our family holiday needs. Highly recommend if you're looking for a comfortable and affordable holiday house that is pet friendly and well situated to explore all that is on offer to see and explore in Victoria's beautiful Grampians and Wimmera Regions.

Great house, very clean and very comfortable. Owner really easy to deal with. Good base if staying in Horsham.

Love the house. This was our first stay during in winter and my only recommendation is some pedestal ceramic heaters for rooms without heating as the nights were really cold or split systems.

This is a lovely house, located an easy walk to the centre of town. The property is immaculate and has everything you need. Communication with our hosts was also excellent.

Compton Manor was every bit as lovely as we hoped it would be. Comfortable, sparkling clean, and very welcoming. We did not want to leave, and will be back in the Spring. Thanks to our hosts Danielle and Craig for a much needed, and thoroughly enjoyable break.
