Da Villa did not disappoint. This location and house could not have been more perfect for our family. The views from the patio, the ocean, stars at night, the beach, Da Hut on the beach, was the full package. The house is as described, very spacious with everything you need. Shopping is right down the road in GH. You are about mid island, so not a bad drive to the north or south. Art and Jim were very responsive for anything you might need. Also, the garage apartment looks very accommodating for a couple with or without a child. Has everything, full kitchen and bath. We did not rent it this time but will the next. Already planning our next trip!

We arrived at GHB Airport and had a quick drive to Davillas. The property is easy to find and the view is breath taking. We loved the hut on the beach. The outdoor shower was an added bonus. We were concerned the waves would be too big for my grand kids, but the waves were just right. Download a tide chart before you arrive, that helped determine which beaches we visited. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and has a large fridge to fit all your food and Kaliks. There were plenty of towels for the beach and bathroom use. There is also a cooler and beach chairs, if you need them. The chairs came in handy for our beach hopping days. Must appreciated. At the time of our visit there was a large dumpster at the end of the driveway, it made it a little more difficult to navigate in/out, but it was manageable. Our only negative comment is there are no curtains on the bedroom doors, this made me feel uneasy at night (maybe too many scary movies). Not a deal breaker, just my preference. We used Burrows, East & Final, and Eleuthera Supply for any shopping needs. We heard Island Farm is great for fresh veggies and fruits. Our favorite was Burrows. Our favorite beach (besides Davillas) was Cocodimama (5 minute drive and excellent for small kids and great shade). If you are looking for a house on a great beach, centrally located, with easy access to other beaches - look no further. Davillas has everything you need. The photos do not do it justice.

I don't think we could have chosen a better home for our 8 day stay. Pictures and descriptions are accurate. The location was very central and convenient to anything on the island. The beach at the house was easily one of the best out of all we visited, and we did a lot of beach sight seeing! It is just stunning. The owner was very easy to communicate with, as was Art, the manager. Everything about our stay was 5 stars. We will be back, and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Great location right on the beach, you can't beat the views and the house is immaculate! With large rooms and many amenities, it was perfect for the two of us because we love our privacy. The 2 bedrooms each had their own bath with the living/kitchen space between the 2 bedrooms. Ideal for a family or 2 couples. Great location to get into Governor's Harbour or a trip to the northern part of the island. Jimmie is a great host giving us information before the trip and checking in afterwards. We also rented a car from Art, the caretaker, which made it easy to get around as soon as we landed. This is our 4th trip to Eleuthera and a house directly on the beach is the only way to go. We barely saw anyone else all week and the shade from the hut on the beach was perfect for getting out of the sun for a while. Thanks for another great Eleuthera experience!

We have stayed at a few VRBOs on Eleuthera and this was the best by far. The beach that it’s located on has beautiful snorkeling and is a lovely beach for walking each morning. The home is in such an amazing location to restaurants, the best beaches and Governors Harbour. The layout is perfect. The kitchen is set up for relaxing with family while making dinner and watching the beautiful sunset each night. Plenty of everything: towels, a cooler, beach chairs, kitchen pots, pans, dishes. We spent all day exploring Eleuthera and were able to kick back every night in the comfortable, spacious home. Thank you for sharing DaVilla.

The house and the location were perfect! It’s so spacious and open. The view from the patio is so beautiful. A bit of a hike down to the beach, it was good exercise. The caretaker, Art, was very helpful and Jim the owner was always very responsive to any questions we had.

Location was great- the most beautiful beach we saw on the island. Had an issue with the AC the first night, the care taker was super responsive and came right out and took care of it. Look forward to going back in the future!

Of course this rating, as most, is due to personal preference. The property was very clean which is extremely important to us. It has large open rooms which we found to be relaxing. A large patio right off the living -dining room had a wonderful view of the ocean. Even though there are neighbors, the foliage on either side blocks out the view of them so you are still secluded. We appreciated the beach chairs and the beach towels so we did not have to purchase. The only negative for me was the wind. This side of the island had higher wind gusts than the other side. This also made the water rougher with larger waves. My husband was perfectly fine with this but I prefer the calmer water of the Caribbean side. But we enjoyed going to some of the different and unique beaches that the island has so not an issue anyway. However, the higher winds also made for tranquil sounds to fall asleep too. Again, totally a personal preference. Overall, we quite enjoyed this property and would recommend it to others.

A thousand words won’t do justice to Da Villa’s location overlooking a beautiful, lonely, white sand beach on the Atlantic. It was our third trip to Eleuthera, the place to go when you want a stretch of sand all to yourself, and neither Da Villa nor its beach disappointed. The house is spacious and nicely set up for two couples each to enjoy their own master suite and time together in the kitchen/living room in between. The patio is also just as pictured and a great place to soak up the stars and watch cruise ships cross on the horizon. Island life can include small bugs that bite when the breeze slows down, so come prepared. The reward at Da Villa is a comfortable home on a world class beach.

This is a beautiful home with a fabulous view and beach. The house is very spacious with 2 large bedrooms each with a bathroom on each side of the house. It worked out great for two couples. The house is nicely decorated and has all the amenities we required. The morning views are wonderful if the weather conditions are right. We woke up most mornings able to view the sunrise through the bedroom windows. The beach is beautiful as well and very secluded. We had several days in which we saw no one else on the beach. We were there in the off season, but I doubt it is much different in the tourist season. We love the waves on this side of the island. If you want calm waters, this may not be the place to stay. The beach hut is very quaint and nice if you need to get away from the sun. Overall, we think it would have been difficult to find such a great place to stay anywhere else on the island for the price.

Everything was great! If you are looking for a house with a perfect view and a great sandy beach, DaVilla is the place for you. Perfectly situated in the center of the island! We went sight seeing to other beaches that claimed to be the best beaches on the island and our entire family was like, it’s not really better than the beach at DaVilla!

It’s a beautiful home w/ every amenity that you need! We had an amazing time and were very sad to leave. The views from the house are amazing and the beach was just a walk down a short private path. We love this island and plan to be back soon and will stay here again!!

We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this one is right at the top for cleanliness and organization. Also has such a lovely view and beach. We enjoyed our stay here.

Our stay was amazing. This was our 2nd visit to Eleuthera and stay at Jim's property. Friends of ours also stayed in the apartment over the garage which was perfect. The house is a perfect set up for a family. We love the beach and the reefs and swimming was spectacular. Gatherings in the evenings for dinner in the large kitchen was nice. It was perfect. Our last night we had a small fire down by the beach. The stars were so incredible. We hope to back soon!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week at Da Villa. The house was honestly better than the pictures show. It was bigger than I expected. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. The a/c worked great - we only needed it at night. The view could not be more beautiful. We had the beach to ourselves all week. It was our first time to Eleuthra. It is what I would call pretty remote and many of the restaurants seemed to have closed for good. We happened upon Delish which is apparently new and after my kids raved about it for a few days we ended up there twice. My main advice is BUG SPRAY. This is certainly nothing specific to the house but beware of bugs if you are laying on the hammock- they seemed to love that area especially at the same time that one of us wanted to also enjoy it. 3/5 of our family were eaten up by noseeums. The 2 people who didn't try the hammock faired ok. Just apply bug spray like sunscreen before you feel anything and you should be good. The size of the house and location exceeded my expectations. As a family, we had never been to Eleuthera which makes choosing a house to rent worrisome. Jim was so responsive and helpful which we much appreciated. The house was a perfect size to settle in for 12 nights. The views were absolutely incredible being elevated with reefs to give it depth. We especially enjoyed the privacy and safety this house has to offer. It felt true to Bahamian style. The beach was perfect some days, windy and choppy a few others. It was centrally located to allow for exploration both north and south each day to better know the island. Upsides: privacy, wonderful views, nice breezes to counter noseeums, remoteness, very helpful owner. Downsides: some days ocean choppy, a good 15-20+ minute drive from most restaurants, etc (this is the case for almost any home on the island FYI), having to leave :). They say Eleuthera isn’t the right island for everyone, but it was perfect for us. I have traveled the Caribbean extensively and used to have a family home in Antigua. It’s hard to find an island these days that has endless remote and picture perfect beaches. It’s hard to find a house priced like Da Villa that provides complete privacy and a wonderful remote beach. The airport is rustic, the island is a bit rough, grocery stores are interesting, but it’s old Bahamian charm is to be embraced and respected. Do not expect to be catered to here, to go shopping, to have an abundance of fancy restaurants. Expect bug bites, bumpy roads, kind loving people, and real island charm that still feels undiscovered and protected from overdevelopment and tourism. I very much respect and appreciate the Bahamian community for protecting their land to this degree.

This was an amazing property! The property owner, Jim, checked in with us as soon as we got there. Art, the caretaker, was fabulous. They both answered any questions we had. Art helped facilitate our Covid tests. The beach area was fabulous. The coral heads are right off shore. There are fish everywhere. The location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We also cooked at the house. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Property was as advertised. Kitchen had everthing we needed (we cooked in mostly). Great view and beach, with Cocodimomma beach on the leeward side only 2 miles away for windy days.Food and beverage stores about 10 minutes away. We go to the islands once or twice a year for the past 18 years and this place (house and Island) rates in our top two.
