I love the location I wish it had a more direct parking, but parking in the street wasn't too bad. The place was really nice I loved the Jacuzzi tub, the snacks. It really served same as a hotel in that sense. The only complaint I have is that when you walk in it smelled stale like it had been vacant for a while. In times where people are not booking the place maybe it can be maintenanced monthly to keep it smelling fresh! Overall it was a great experience it definitely was a home away from home getaway, Id definitely visit here again!

This is a great property! Beautiful house in a great location, convenient for Occidental, Glendale and Pasadena. Very comfy and Judy has every amenity you could want.

I would remove "serene" from the title of this listing. The suite is the lower level of the owners house who lives upstairs. First - the upstairs people are incredibly heavy footed stomping around with a dog at night. Second the walls are very thin. Sometimes it felt like the people upstairs were in the room with us. On the second day I was trying to take an afternoon nap and the couple was fighting, yelling, and cursing on and off for hours about a refrigerator. Did they forget they were renting out their space? It was really odd... She also describes the space to be "throughly cleaned" after guests and I would argue that there are a lot of little things that have been missed. Including a super dusty ceiling fan and the water kettle in the kitchenette full of old smelly water. Parking was easy, neighborhood was great, we picked this spot because we were seeing a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. I know people have off days but it was honestly really odd and uncomfortable hearing word for word our hosts fighting with each other.

Had a great stay. The place was clean and fully stocked in case you forgot something. The coffee and snacks were a welcomed surprise. Plenty of good food around the area as well. Will definitely come to stay again in the future. Parking is limited but there is plenty of parking down the hill.

Cozy space with every amenity you could want. From robes and flip-flops for the pool, to snacks, to extra toiletries, Judy thought of everything.

My best friend and I visited Los Angeles for a week. This place was perfect because it was in the center of everything we wanted to explore. Room was just as expected and the owner provided us with snacks and accessories complimentary during our stay which I thought was cute!

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay here. We needed to be close to family for an event and this was better than most hotels in the area. The bright side: The room is not as tiny as I imagined. The host provided snacks, candies, coffee, tea, & bottled water which we very much appreciated. The bathroom is very large with a jetted tub. The A/C works very well & there is a ceiling fan as well. There is pool and patio access, both very clean. The host, while on site, was very quiet. The neighborhood overall was very quiet. The down side: The bed is decidedly not a queen. The mattress is very firm so we found that to be not as comfortable as it could be. The TV seems to have a volume regulator on it, which is fine unless you need to also run the A/C. Definitely not handicap accessible, there are many stairs and a narrow walkway. Parking is a bit tough as the road is narrow and hilly. Parking is allowed only on one side of the street so prepare to park a bit away.

We headed down to LA for a small getaway and a trip to watch the Dodgers. We spent all our time around the games lounging by/in the pool. Gorgeous outdoor space with lots of seating options for whatever time of day!

A lovely place to stay! Even though we didn't have time to use the pool, it was beautiful! The house was in a great location not too far from LA. It was a really great place to stay for a few days in LA to see the sights!

we had an amazing time here. the pool was great and we had everything we could have wanted and more in the room. there is not really any street parking, so you will have to take a bit of a hike back to the place.

The host has thought of everything. Easy to get around to LA and Pasadena. Quiet location. We Loved our stay.

This was a great place for me to stay on my own while visiting family nearby. It was clean, safe and quiet. The host provided snacks, coffee, bath supplies and more. The atmosphere was relaxing and charming. The pictures do not do it justice.

I enjoyed my time at this place and it was just what I needed. I was visiting LA for a work trip and just needed a place to rest, sleep, and unwind in between meetings. Love the room I stay, the property was gorgeous, and loved the pool. I will stay again the next time I am in LA. :)

This place was very, very nice. We were only in LA for a few days and tried to do a lot of things and this was very centrally located for us. The pool was very beautiful but a little cold for us. We really enjoyed our stay.

This lovely rental in Eagle Rock was everything I was looking for in a staycation while real estate shopping in L.A. County! As soon I came up the steps and entered, I was floored by how homey it was; the other reviews were right, but didn't even cover all the goodness. The house is at the top of some steps, and you can see a view all around the nearby hills from the front of the house, which has shaded seating.The host has thought of literally everything for this rental: there are bath amenities, towels, hats, little snacks, poolside mugs, a small fridge and microwave, an AC unit, a coffee maker, little fold out tables, and everything you would need for a sweet afternoon by the poolside. There's a fan above the bed. And the beachy decor! The sheets were extra soft. It was a bit chilly when I visited so I didn't use the pool, but there was a jacuzzi tub which suited me just fine. They also have laundry facilities next to their pool for you to use, just in case. It's a very quiet suburban neighborhood, and you can barely hear anything from the main part of the house. For out of towners, there are little books and guides to Eagle Rock, so you can go exploring. Sprouts and little shops and cafes and the highway are just a few minutes' drive away. Hilly parking can be tricky but it works out. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this little retreat to friends and fam, too. It'd also be great as a home base if you're doing touristy things in L.A. nearby.

Check in process was very easy, instructions were clear, and there was lots of effort put into making the stay pleasant. Unfortunately we found pubic hair on the toilet as well as an overall unclean toilet, you can tell whoever cleaned it was not concerned with the effort the owner of the listing put into the home.

This was a great little spot for my short trip up to LA. Clean. Comfy. Very thoughtfully appointed with snacks, coffee, water… anything you need! The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. It was a really nice stay.

We had a great stay filled with thoughtful details in our suite. Property was clean, decorated with a beach theme, tucked away, and private. Would stay again in a heartbeat when the opportunity to visit LA comes again.

The host was so thoughtful with everything. We had everything we needed. Clear instructions for checking in/out. Jetted tub was great, closet space to store our clothes, etc. I could go on and on. The host was also very communicative, and responded with any questions or concerns we had. I highly recommend this place and plan to stay again.

This was an awesome stay in sunny LA. The room is small, a bed, a nice bathroom with a soaking tub and shower, kitchen essentials in the closet., plenty of closet space. Judy very generously provides lots of snacks, coffee, and teas. The pool area is beautiful, tons of space, chairs, umbrellas, and very clean. I would suggest turning the AC off when it cools down at night so that it doesn’t wake you when it turns on. We would love to come back!

So wonderful. The attention to detail was amazing. Judy had things included that I didn't even know I needed until I saw it. Lol. Can not wait to return :)

Parking on the street was always available. Awesome backyard with a nice pool! Host also left us snacks and everything necessary available for us in the room!

The property was very nice. Great locations and area if you want to be alone.(residential area). The house was very clean and had a lot of amenities. It did say it had some which it didn’t but none the less was a great place. Definitely would recommend.

I met my son from across the country for a baseball trip to LA. This would not have been possible without a place to stay near Dodgers Stadium. The surprise though was that this quaint basement apartment was phenomenal. Spotless and welcoming. Judy is a wonderful host who has thought of everything. Beyond my best expectations. I really want to stay here again.
