Great time for a family vacation on a the most gorgeous beach.

We visited Santa Barbara to attend a family wedding. Our trip started in Solvang it ended at the beach house. What an amazing way to end our trip. The location was just outside of Santa Barbara which didn’t matter because the house was on the beach. Simply amazing.

Perfect place for a birthday celebration with friends and family. Can't wait to come back!

Fantastic stay. Pictures don’t do the property’s location justice. RIGHT on the beach. No complaints except for some (small) cleanliness issues. Scum in hot tub. (Which was addressed by pool maintaince company.) Food crumbs in the clean dishes cabinets. Sand in sheets. Would definitely return.

We loved our stay at Padaro Lane. My family and I enjoyed walks to the beach and the constant sense of relaxation we could feel in and outside of the house :) If you're looking for a magical stay, this one is for you!

This place is just wonderful. Could not ask for a nicer location, your own beach front with over half the bedrooms looking out to ocean. Perfect for a family and friends get away. I can’t wait to stay again!

Our family of three gnerations loved staying here. On a great swimming and walking beach, the house is comfortable and charming. The new hot tub was a plus. The dishwasher failed on us, but the property manager got it taken care of promptly. We would love to return to this soecial retreat on Padaro Lane.

We celebrated three birthdays and a wedding anniversary during our stay. The house was very comfortable for the 10 of us and the beach was right outside the back door. We had a wonderful time!!

My wife and kids vacation in Santa Barbara twice a year. We’ve always wanted to stay at a beach house at Santa Clause Beach and finally made it work. My extended family was able to join us and it was way better than all expectations!!! We’ll definitely be making this an annual trip! BEST. VACATION. EVER.

We had a wonderful time! Our friends from out of state (another family of 5 with 3 teenagers) rented their own house directly on the sand on same beach and although their house had newer kitchen/baths we liked this house better. Good floor plan, homey, and plenty of room to stretch out and not be on top of each other. The manager was also very easy to work with.

We had an absolutely delightful stay while in Carpinteria for our daughter’s wedding at a nearby venue. To accommodate our family and the bridesmaids, the house met our every need with 5 lovely bedrooms and 4 nicely equipped bathrooms, plus two roomy family rooms. The view was especially spectacular! Evan, our host, was so helpful in every way. We’d love to stay again!

This place is amazing, we already booked for next summer. The BEST beach I've been to in SoCal and I've lived here 51 years. And the house has everything you could possibly want. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great stay. The house is extremely functional and while occupying it, it has way more room than you would expect from the photos. There are lots of spaces to have two couples stay and not be on top of each other the whole time. And then there’s the beach, which can’t be beat.

House is set up nicely for a large family or several couples. Had everything we needed! We didn’t get a chance to use the bikes, kayaks, etc..., but we had a blast on the beach. Easy walk to Padora Beach Grill if you just don’t want to cook. Loved it!

Our first impression when we entered the house was: WOW. I stayed in the house with 9 friends coming from all over the world and everybody immediatly felt in love. It has an interessting and open architecture and a warm, personal and tasteful furnishing. I loved the individual decoration all over the house and all the little extras like books and games. You can feel in every room that the house has its own personal character and the owners do not just want to make money out of it. The house is situated in a quiet street directly on the beach so it is just a few steps into the water. All you can hear is the ocean. The view is truly amazing. The house itself has a big open kitchen with everything you need to prepare a big dinner. There are two (!) connected living rooms with a patio leading directly to the beach and with enough space for ten people I stayed with. There are five bedrooms, three bigger ones with an own bathroom and two smaller ones, one with bunkbeds and one study, home office room with a foldaway cupboard double bed. Everything we could have ever needed was there, kitchen utensils for more than 10 people, dishtowels etc., bbq, beddings and bedclothes, towels for the bathroom and for the beach. There are also beach chairs, surfboards, boogieboards etc. so you can have a really nice day on the beach. I wished we could have stayed longer. We had an amazing time. There is nothing negative to say, except maybe that the booking was a little bit formal (I had to sign a contract and to scan it), and it did not work immediatly. But this is not a real negative point, if the booking requirements of home away are like this, I am absolutley fine with this. Melissa- my contact partner from the house I corresponded via email- was very friendly, helpful, patient and answered to all my questions immediatly. So if you are looking to get away from big hotels, experience life in a neighbourhood in an amazing house with your friends at the beach- look no farther.

We had the most wonderful stay here. The house is great, so easy to get to, and the best part is where its located on the beach. I'm a Santa Barbara native, and trust me its the one of the best spots on the beach! The house is the perfect place for a family, and. has ample living and sleeping spaces. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely location and the home is very sweet and well appointed. The owner/manager is very caring and professional. Highest recommendation possible. Just hope everyone doesn't book it so we can come back.

My 5 college friends and I met for a "girls' getaway" at this wonderful house. We loved the beautiful beach, but mostly just got caught up with each other while relaxing in the warm and welcoming ambience of the house.

What a wonderful home on an even more wonderful secluded beach. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, including playings like kayaks and bikes. The beach must be one of the most pristine and beautiful in California. We even saw and chatted briefly with a celebrity who lives on the cove. We would recommend the beach house to anybody.

The property is very accurately described in the listing. This is not an "executive home" or designer monstrosity--it is a beach cottage that is utterly charming in every sense of the word. This home is compact, but well laid out with no wasted space. The kitchen is actually better than described in the listing--it is small but very servicable. There were good kitchen tools (knives, garlic press etc) and a large assortment of pots and pans along with tons of dishes. I prepared a Thanksgiving feast here with ease. The living area is also small and cozy, but with ample lounging space and entertainment options. The entire west wall of the house is a series of sliding glass doors that brings the outside in and fills the house with the most amazing light. Parking is easy and ample. The house was immaculate upon arrival and there were spare linens available. The beds were comfortable. The location of spare supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags) was logical and the backstock adequate. This is a cozy beach house and much of the charm is in that it is obviously a cherised family property--the eclectic art and lovely pottery are part of what make this a wonderful vacation home. The beach is secluded and quiet and the view is just breathtaking (even in November). We enjoyed walking the beach and while there is a nice assortment of kayaks, boogie boards and other equipment, my favorite amenity was the porch swing. Bundled in a blanket against the cool November air, we enjoyed many a sunset from the swing. The owner was very easy to work with and I would recommend this property to my family and friends. My suggestions? I have two: 1) Like many beach houses, this house has a name that is posted by the front door. When you stay here, make a game of seeing who can solve the pun that is the name (it's quite clever and you can solve it if you are observant when in the house). 2) For truly amazing and authentic no-frills Mexican food, go to Beach Liquor on Linden Avenue in Carpinteria (it's right next to the Von's)--it's not every day you see a liquor store/taco stand but the food is fresh and fantastic! This property is not inexpensive, but the location and the home itself are worth the price. As someone who typically spends 20+ weeks per year traveling on business, it was significant that I got a bit misty eyed when leaving this property--for once while traveling I felt truly at home.
