This was absolutely great. Clean, comfy, everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s not super big but you know that from the pictures. We had fires in the pit every night by the ocean, and the same seal would visit us and swim around the shore line each night, probably begging for tortilla chips. We would love come back in the future!

I was able to take several days to myself and enjoy the absolute beauty of this perfectly located cottage. It had all I needed and was super comfortable. I highly recommend. Host was easy to communicate with. I would love to go back. You can not beat the location and the view.

No one should ever rate this property anything less than a 5. Sue goes out of her way to make sure you know what you're renting. And what you're getting is a SPECTACULAR View. The Cabin is as advertised. Waking up to the sounds of the Loons, Seagulls, and Lobster Boats is Wonderful. We stayed 4 days. Watching those waves lapping at the rocks. WOW! Talk about cathartic? We were on a 25 day tour of the New England States. And that day just sitting and relaxing on the front porch was the Best Day of our trip. If you're the type of person who finds fault in everything, you should probably pay more and go somewhere else. But if you want a Rustic, Relaxing, and Peaceful stay away from the Hustle and Bustle of the tourist in Bar Harbor, than this is your vacation spot.

Sue was very communicative and helpful both before and during our visit. The cabin was adorable, clean, and the views were second to none. The location was peaceful and secluded, but not overly distant from amenities and attractions. The new WiFi connection was an absolute blessing for a work Zoom meeting I had to attend while we were there. We had a great time at Acadia and Bar Harbor and would love to visit again.

This cabin was the perfect getaway from day to day life. Sue was fantastic and the views were unreal, especially the stars at night.

The cottage is convenient (~35 minutes) to Arcadia NP in a quiet residential area that is only minutes away from good restaurants and groceries. The view from the front porch is spectacular -- the bay, Arcadia's mountains in the distance. The cottage itself is perhaps a bit rustic (that is, the bedrooms are small) but it's clean, comfortable, and has everything we wanted/needed. Best of all, our host -- Sue -- is amazingly friendly, responsive, and helpful. I would absolutely stay there again.

On the waterfront in Hancock point - wonderful spot, highly recommended. It’s small but exactly as advertised and we had a wonderful time looking at the bay and stargazing at night. We hit a heat wave and it was still chilly at times from the breeze off the water. We spent 3 nights as a stop off point before taking the ferry to Nova Scotia and loved every minute of it. Go there! For a great meal try Sweet Peas’s Farm on Mt Desert Island - pizza, ribs and their wines were all outstanding!

We had a great stay at the cottage. The views from the property are amazing. It is a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. The host had great communication throughout the process. The cottage is small and ceilings are low for a tall person like me (6ft tall), but it is well maintained and clean, and has everything the 3 of us needed for a great stay. After a day of fighting the crowds at Acadia, it was very relaxing coming back to this quiet escape with spectacular waterfront views! The host also provided a binder with helpful information about the area!

as described. It is an older structure-----a few minor maintenance issues need attention--------loose door hinge, screening needs repairs. These things were outweighed by the location and views. We particularly like being 1/2 hr away from Bar Harbor. Handcock is in a great spot---particulary enjoyed the "other Acadia" out on the Schoodic Peninsula---less crowds and beautiful scenery. We very much enjoyed the fire pit with the great view of Frenchmans bay!

We loved our stay at "A Little Bit of Paradise on the Maine Coast!" Our entire stay was amazing. The view was simply beautiful and the cottage was very cozy. Sue did a fantastic job of preparing everything for our stay including helpful information about the area. If you are traveling to the Maine coast, we highly recommend a stay at this "little bit of paradise."
