Charmante maison balnéaire à quelques pas de la plage de l'association. Cottage en bardeaux unique de style Nantucket. Emplacement fantastique. Récemment rénové avec de nombreux équipements modernes, mais confortable et sans chichis. Ouvrez, lumineux et aéré, avec salon spacieux pour s'amuser et traîner. Beaucoup d'espace pour s'étendre. 2 1/2 chambres à coucher, 2 salles de bain complètes + douche extérieure. Nouvelle laveuse / sécheuse.

Transport pratique (Metro North ou Amtrak à New Haven; et Shoreline East à Guilford). 20-25 minutes à New Haven. Moins de 2 heures à New York en fonction du trafic; 2 1/2 à Boston. We spent the month of August in this charming house and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and seating arrangements, and all the necessary cooking staples. The grandchildren especially enjoyed combing the beach across the street for little crabs and seashells. There is plenty to do in Guilford and the adjacent towns and beaches. The hostess, Laura, was very accommodating when we dithered about dates! We will certainly come again. Thanks for a great stay.

The cottage is lovely, clean and more than adequately stocked with everything you need. The local beach was a great place to spend the day and the upper deck provides amazing views. There was more than enough room for our family of 4. We were able to easily make meals with the fully stocked kitchen. The a/c has trouble reaching the bunk room so it can be a bit warm. This is a place we would definitely stay again.

Our family rented this beautiful house for a week stay and completely enjoyed our time there. We walked, kayaked, and soaked in the views, the flowers, and abundant wildlife. So serene! We would love to return!

This home was wonderfully appointed with all amenities, had a warm and happy, relaxed feel, and just minutes from the beautiful, quaint beach. The private cove community is delightful and peaceful and so picturesque! We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful week long stay in this lovely cottage. It was great staying right here in CT and still feeling like we had a great vacation...and could actually drive home in under 2 hours (with traffic). This home is so charming....and so well stocked! So often we've stayed at VRBO places where we have to buy salt and pepper, condiments, clear wrap, etc. Not here! The home was also very comfortable and fully cooled by the window a/c units. We can't wait to go back!

Our family just stayed here for a week. We found the house absolutely charming and would definitely stay here again. Indian Cove, the small community that the house is in, was very relaxing. My 13 year old son kayaked every day and enjoyed jumping off the diving board at high tide (there is a diving board attached to the rocks that jut out into the cove). We are from Los Angeles so the New England town of Guilford felt like another world to us. The house had everything we needed and more. Tons of movie DVDs and Netflix. Bikes and beach chairs. Books and games. The beach is right across the street, so easy to go back and forth. The beach itself is small and shelly, but calm and protected— perfect for us to swim and nap listening to the gentle waves. The owner was kind and helpful. She set up the house so guests feel welcome and comfortable. Two of the bedrooms and the living room have AC. The tiny bunk room does not, but my daughter loved staying in there — feels like a cozy hideaway. Highly recommend if you are in need of a quiet seaside getaway.

We were looking for a seaside cottage for a weekend stay for our family of four. The cottage is lovely, sweet and beautiful. For our entire stay, it was just very peaceful, calm and tranquil. Everything in and out of the house was layout just as seen in the photos. The entire neighbourhood is very safe, clean and quiet. People are very friendly and kind. We spent some time at the beach and used the upper deck of the house to observe the stars at night. The hammock in the backyard was just an example of the detailed attention paid to the house. Apart from the area, there are many sights and towns nearby that we spent time in, examples being Thimble islands, Yale University and Mystic. Even with a busy itinerary and running around along the I95 during the day, this cottage house cleansed my mind and restored my spirit. As well, the property manager is very responsive. She delivers high-quality goods and services in the preparation of our stay. We thank her very much for her hospitality.

A hammock out back invites naps. The owner has great taste; my wife remarked that she'd like to buy the place as-is, including all of the furnishings.You can bike to downtown Guilford in about 10 minutes, where there are a couple of bars and lots of cute shops. New Haven is a 20- or 30-minute drive, depending on traffic.Indian Cove is a delightful neighborhood of mostly older homes right on Long Island Sound. It's got a private beach that's almost like a swimming hole -- large rock formations shelter the beach from waves, and there's a floating platform and even a diving board. At low tide hermit crabs congregate by the hundreds or thousands in the shallows, which thrilled my toddler son.The only minor annoyance was the construction site next door, where a house is being gutted and renovated. Fortunately construction was proceeding so slowly that we heard like one power tool in our entire stay. There was also a surprising amount of traffic, including large trucks, on the road in front of the house. It wasn't overwhelming -- just a reminder that this is a residential neighborhood, not an isolated beach house.

Our family of 6 stayed in this lovely "cottage" (its really a house that feels so New England-shoreline) for 10 days. It's big enough for a large family, with plenty of sleep room, and overall plenty of room outside too for cookouts (on large deck), play, etc. Its right across the street from the private beach, the convenience was magnificent. The house comes with kayaks and bikes, our family used the bikes every day.....enjoy the quiet and exercise-friendly neighborhood - I walked every morning and explored the beautiful shoreline....only item to mention is that the neighborhood is a rather quiet one, so it's not a place to throw a large family party nor host a play date for your kids....about 2 mile walk into center of Guilford, really another gem to experience....enjoy, I give it a 4.5 star overall......
