La Villa Bougainvillea est construite sur un terrain terrassé orienté vers le Sud. La propriétée a une surface de 3000m².
La villa contient 3 unitées d'habitation qui servent exclusivement aux locataires. La villa peut être louée exclusivement pour 4, 6 ou 8 personnes (9 sur demande).
La maison principale est meublée de manière classique. Sur cet étage se trouvent deux chambres avec lits doubles et salles de bain individuelles, une toilette supplémentaire près de l'entrée, un grand salon, la nouvelle cuisine avec salle à manger.
De la terrasse panoramique vous profitez d'une vue exceptionnelle sur la Méditéranée, la baie de Naxos et le volcan Etna.
Un "patio", directement accessible de la cuisine, est souvent choisi par nos hôtes pour prendre le petit déjeuner dans le calme d'une végétation superbe ou pour y préparer le barbecue. Un nouvel escalier de la cuisine au jardin a été construit en 2023.
L'accès aux appartements se fait soit par un escalier extérieur ou par l'escalier de la terrasse vers la piscine. Dans l'appartement au milieu il y a 1 double lit, une salle de bain et un petit salon. L'appartement du bas au niveau de la piscine offre 1 double lit, une salle de bain et aussi un petit salon.
Des lits bébé de voyage peuvent être mis en place sur demande.
Toutes les chambres sont équipées d'une climatisation.

Pour aller en ville il y a un bus à 200m de la maison (Via Leonardo da Vinci) toutes les heures. Une promenade unique le long du chemin de Madonna Della Rocca à Taormina prend environ 15-20 minutes. Vous pouvez retourner à la maison en bus ou en taxi (une course en taxi coûte 15-20 euros).

This house was the absolute perfect house for our vacation. The owners from the very beginning were so kind and communicated so well! We had never been to Sicily before so we had very many questions and they were so patient and kind to help us plan our holiday!
The house was beautiful. The view is beyond explanation! The furnishings were exquisite. The layout/floor plan was perfect for our group. The kitchen was well stocked, and they were kind enough to do a first shop for us and have it at the house. Each room was very special in its own way and the pool area was fabulous. The pool was clean and well kept. We would love to return.

My wife and I have 3 teenage boys. We came with both our parents and had an amazing vacation. The views are incredible, the beds are super comfortable, the layout of the house was perfect four our group. Close to both Taormina and castlemola. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get in until 1am and silvana met us and explained everything. She made everything very easy. Make sure you are okay walking some hills. They are not too bad and taxis are an option, but I highly recommend the steps down to Taormina.

We were very impressed with the size of the property and the layout affording you and your guests the opportunity to break away and have some 'quiet time' if needed. Communication with Daniela (owner) and Stefania (manager) was great with a lot of local information provided and very accomodating with luggage due to silly flight times. Walk up to Castelmola is tough and would not recommend if not fit, especially in the heat. Would suggest using the bus or a taxi. There are three walks down to Taormina and equally relaxing however again I would suggest the bus or a taxi coming back. Taormina very busy and has loads of shops and restaurants. Castelmola quieter and predominantly restaurants with a few small shops. Takeaway pizzas from Nina's in Castelmola was a hit for the whole family. Would definitely recommend this property. Our group of 7 had a wonderful stay at Daniela’s villa. The views are incredible both of Taormina and Mt Etna. We were lucky enough to even get a show from Etna while we were there.
The location is amazing high above on the mountain. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance and you can drive up the mountain where the town of Castelmola is located. It’s a cute town to visit. You can walk down to Taormina in about 20 minutes or so on the steps.
The villa is even better than the pictures. Inside it’s been furnished beautifully and the kitchen and bathrooms are super modern and beautifully done. The villa is spacious and the separate apartments were really enjoyed by the teens in our party. The pool is a great size and super private. It’s surrounded by lush landscape and you feel totally secluded. There are so many fruit trees and flowers all around.
Communication with the owner was easy and quick. Totally recommend this villa.

99% positive: Extraordinarily clean house, sparkling pool, extremely functional kitchen. Air conditioning (much needed) perfectly effective. Minor negatives: beds too firm— and I like a very firm mattress. Insufficient number of towels — but host was quick to bring over a few more. Window shutters a little challenging, but we mostly worried about dislodging a panel. No dryer — as an American not accustomed to line drying every piece of washed clothing. With the house capacity for a large family, the washer is rather small— I spent too much time doing laundry.
Would return in a heartbeat!

The owners went out of their way to accommodate our family and make us all feel welcome - including answering many questions and providing recommendations to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The walk up from Taormina is a bit grueling but worth it for the views. Would love to return!

We would highly recommend this beautiful villa in the Castelmola / Taormina area. The house has been recently renovated to a very high standard, and includes four bedrooms with ensuites, several indoor / outdoor lounge and dining spaces, and patio / pool with the most incredible views. We thoroughly enjoyed our days / evenings spent at the villa, lounging by the pool and cooking meals with family in the well-equipped kitchen. We walked down to Taormina several evenings for dinner (with taxi back) - and walked the scenic path to Castelmola one morning. The hosts were excellent with communications - and provided restaurant and other recommendations for the area. Thank you for such a memorable vacation!!

Beautiful villa/house to share with a group of friends. There were 4 couples and we absolutely loved it there. Very accurate from website. Quite easy walk down to town and taxi back up. Had a wonderful dinner on our last night up in the centre of castelmoa up top. The house has everything you need and more. Thanks to Silvana for all your help and of course our wonderful driver. We just left after a week in Villa Bougainvillea and it could not have been more perfect. Daniela, Raphael, and Silvana were amazing hosts and considered every detail with this house as a rental property. The views, pool, and lounge areas are all incredible and the beds were comfortable. Thank you for the in-house chef recommendation for Fabio at Private Chef Catania. Can’t wait to come back for our next visit!

This home was all it was advertised as and more! The kitchen is top-notch, designer stove, with all the amenities; the bathrooms are beautiful and tasteful and huge (from a NYC perspective!). We loved being able to have our young adults in their own space where they could watch movies without disturbing us at night - so much more peaceful and relaxing for everyone! And the garden! And the views! Don’t get me started! What a treat! The only “down” side is that I thought it would be more “walkable” but because of the steep inclines in both directions we ended up only walking into Taormina once and driving to Castelmola. But a more ambitious hiking family could easily do both (and our boys did walk back from Taormina in 20 min). The housekeeper was a pleasure and very helpful. I am so grateful we had this experience!

The house is really beautiful -- living room looks like a magazine. Beautiful interior design throughout. View from patio and (upper rooms) is spectacular. Kitchen is excellent and owners left lots of consumables (e.g. spices, coffee, a bottle of wine, pasta, etc.) so you can delay your first trip to the store. Excellent quiet location on a small side street. Prepare for vertical living: 15-20 minute steep walk up to Castelmola (super charming little town), 15-20 minute steep walk down to Taormina proper (super charming medium-sized town). But the views and the exercise were wonderful. Tons of day activities in and around the area (including the entire east coast of Sicily). Silvana, the host, was "next level" friendly/helpful. The place is a gem.

Came with 8 adult family members and SOs, had a great time. Property was recently remodeled and is gorgeous with a real local flavor. Clean, elegant and user friendly. Property manager very accessible to help with tips and needs. Pictures do not do it justice. Beware, everything's on a hill in Taormina, including the villa, bring your best billy goat and have fun!

From beginning to end, our experience with this stay was perfection! Daniela was extremely helpful, thoughtful, and kind. She communicated with me regularly before, during, and after our stay.
Any and all questions I had were answered quickly by her or Silvana (the sweetest house manager EVER!) From the minute we set foot on the property, we were informed, greeted and treated like family. We traveled with two toddlers (2 and 3yo) and it felt like Daniela completely read my mind all on fronts. Only another mother can understand the challenges you face when traveling with such small children. She made sure toys, chairs, dishes, cribs etc were all ready for my kids before we arrived.
The villa was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need! The new renovations were exquisite and it felt like we were staying in a five star hotel! It was so incredibly well kept and clean. The LARGE pool was perfect for a hot Sicilian summer! We enjoyed it every single day and there were even floaties and toys available that worked perfectly for us! We brought a friend who had privacy in her own apartment which was very spacious as well.
Waking up every morning to the MOST incredible views of the Sea and Mt Etna felt like a DREAM! We spent most days enjoying the villa with our family but also took short trips up to Castelmola (adorable playground there for kids) and we also were down below in Taormina. (gorgeous)

We are a family of 5, 2 parents and 3 teenagers. We had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The house is recently modernized and fully equipped, it surpassed all our expectations. The house has an amazing view from the terrace over the Sea and over the Etna. Silvy who welcomed us at the house helped us with everything, even printed our tickets for the ferry back to the main land. We really hope to come back!

Wow! I cannot over-emphasize how wonderful our stay at the Villa was! The house itself is gorgeous, so well equipped, and wonderful w/ great A/C and fabulous pool considering we were there during the most intense heat wave! Daniella and Raphael were wonderful hosts, and Silvana was so welcoming and attentive, she was the epitome of Italian hospitality! If there was anything we needed she and Daniella were quick to respond and attend to any questions, including making dinner reservations and even welcoming us w/ lovely Sicilian gifts such as marmalade and Prosecco. I cannot recommend Villa Bougainvillea highly enough, it was the most wonderful part of our 2 weeks in Italy!

We are a family of 2 seniors, 4 adults and 2 children that rented
the villa 14 days during early July. At arrival we discovered that the
villa had been totally renovated and everything was new, fresh and stylish (kitchen, bathrooms, air-condition etc.)
The location is just perfect. It is located on the hillside just below Castelmola.
The view is outstanding. You see the bay of Naxos and all the way to Catania but also the top of Etna.
During our stay parents and children used the two large bedrooms in the main upper floor.
Two adults stayed in in middle section and the seniors choose the bottom section.
We all enjoyed the large renovated swimming pool that was cleaned twice a week. Around the house
the are a lot of flowers and fruit trees. The children loved to make their own lemon juice.
We did not rent a car. Instead we used taxi, bus and our legs. Walking up to Castelmola takes 10-15 min,
and down to Taormina about 15 min easy walk. We bought a Hop on Hop off 35€ 7 days ticket
to use local blue busses and red busses to explore the area.
When dining in Castelmola, some walked up while the others took the bus. We all walked down home.
Similar we walked down to Taormina and returned by bus. When shopping groceries we took the taxi and paid 20€.
During the stay we got excellent support from local host Silvana and owners Daniela & Raphael who did their
outmost for us to have a perfect holiday.
If you rent this villa, take good care of it, as we will return soon.

La villa è molto bella, chiaramente un po’ datata ma per passare dei giorni di relax e l’ideale. Piscina molto grande, camere separata su tre appartamenti che si sviluppano in altezza, ideale per gruppi numerosi che vogliono privacy.
Vista assolutamente spettacolare su giardini Naxos e Etna. Proprietario persona squisita così come la signora Silvana che si occupa dell’accoglienza.
Dalla villa si può raggiungere Taormina a piedi, percorso impegnativo, ma se capitate ad agosto assolutamente consigliato, i parcheggi sono stracolmi.
Chiaramente consigliata auto per tutto quello che riguarda gli spostamenti.

Great Accommodations
A great week at the property started with a friendly welcome by the caretaker who provided information on the property and the surrounding area. She was readily available throughout the week to answer any queries. The layout of the house was perfect for a group of six: couples had bedrooms with private baths which was the same for the singles in the group. Although we most often ate out, the kitchen was well stocked to feed a group much larger than ours. The best feature for me was the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea and Mount Etna. From early morning through the night the views were spectacular and became our group's main meeting point. Getting about was easy. Depending on the destination, we walked, took the bus, or drove. I would highly recommend the this property.

Gorgeous Villa with Amazing View
This villa is the perfect location for exploring and experiencing Sicily. We loved it! Silvy, the property manager is a gem! She was SO helpful and just couldn't be any nicer! We would highly recommend this villa. One note...if you plan to go into Taormina, TAKE A TAXI...parking is impossible! Also, make sure to eat at Le Tre Vie...everything is awesome!

Wonderful Villa between Taormina and Castelmola
This villa is simply stunning. The views are unbelievable. The pool is huge and well maintained. There is plenty of space for a large number of people. The villa itself is well kept and has everything you could need. Location is great. We had a car but walked up to Castelmola and down to Taormina. The walk up to Castelmola is steep but relatively short and well worth it. There is also an hourly bus that runs from Taormina bus stop up to Castelmola which stops at the end of the road.
Silvana was fantastic with us and was more than happy to help us with any questions we had via Whatsapp.
I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful holiday villa
Spacious and well laid out with 4 huge bedrooms each with a bathroom, a generous living space and well equipped kitchen. The highlights were the breathtaking views from the terrace and the well maintained pool and beautiful gardens.
Silvana was absolutely amazing. She made sure everything was provided and was always available, helpful and a total pleasure to deal with. We were unfortunately involved in a car accident and Silvana gave up so much of her personal time to help us with paperwork etc. Her support and friendship were exceptional - we are so grateful she was there.

Villa with a magnificent and unforgettable view!
Upon arrival Sylvana met us with delicious local delicacies and a bottle of Prosecco. Giorgio was very helpful in communicating to us directions to the villa and getting around Taormina. We could’ve stayed another week. The villa was very comfortable, very nice decor, beautiful gardens, and well equipped kitchen. We took advantage of the opportunity to have Alfia prepare a Sicilian dinner. It was delicious. Thank you Giorgio for a memorable vacation for us, our children, and grandchildren.

Villa de luxe très agréable offrant un belvédère magnifique de la Sicile. Très confortable avec tout les ingrédients nécessaires pour passé de superbe vacances entre ami(e)s. Fort bien équipé à tout point vue. L''agencement des chambres est très bien adapté permettant une intimité. Tout les équipements fonctionnels sont là et par mon expérience des voyages c'est pas toujours le cas . Bravo au propriétaire pour la déco et l'architecture des lieux...
C'est un endroit que je recommande à tous tant tout a était parfait du premier contact avec Georgio le propriétaire et de l'accueil en français de Silvana à la prise des lieux. C'est une évidence pour moi que je reviendrai dans cette magnifique villa si dans mes futurs périples je retourne en Sicile....

Views are amazing
The villa is quite a distance from both towns, and although you can walk to both villages it is very steep climb to Castelmola and if going by taxi 25 euro or if going to Taormina it is a long way down and once again 25 euros either way. We were a family of 8 all adults, so the arrival on a Sunday meant ALL supermarkets were closed and this was not clearly explained to me in emails. So if booking and arriving on s Sunday get Silvana the property manager to arrange for food to be here, a welcome bottle of Prosecco really is not good enough, as this Villa is very remote. The layout of the Villa is good with separate bedrooms and separate entrances in 2 of theses. The bedding linen needs to be updated as sheets were very old and quite worn out, as were towels etc. Overall a great family holiday, but the description of the property is very misleading as Villa and the surrounding grounds are not what is described, gardens are overgrown and pool lounges old and damaged etc

Beautiful location, everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August. The villa is located halfway up the mountain between Taormina and Castelmola and has wonderful views over the coast and Etna. We spent many hours just gazing at it from the terrace or pool. It is possible to walk down to Taormina or up to Castelmola, both of which have many many restaurants, but this is heavy going in high summer. We found the local bus service to be reliable and very useful. The kitchen is well equipped, and the air conditioning is effective if the heat is too much. Sylvana is a very professional housekeeper with excellent English who can attend to all your needs. My only recommendation would be to update the bathrooms- there is nothing wrong with the current ones which are clean and work, but they do look dated.

Wonderful place with stunning views
Villa Bougainvillea was a very beautiful and spacious villa with a lovely garden and swimming pool. This villa is located up on the edge of a hill, so it has a spectacular view down to the city of Taormina, the coast and also to the Mtn Etna!
We rented a car from the Catania airport and took trips also to the lovely villages near-by Taormina and to the Mtn Etna.
Although we had a car, we walked few times down to the centre of Taormina and up to the beautiful town of Castelmola.
We really enjoyed our stay in this excellent place and had a most unforgettable holiday in Sicily! We also want to send very special thanks to Silvana, our lovely and truly helpful housekeeper!

Most wonderful place ever!
What can we say about the house Bourgainvilla close to Taormina in just a few words?
Stunning views, beautiful decor, impressiv spacy, great pool, wonderful housemanager Silvana and wonderful cook Alfia - just to sum-up everything.
We had a one week stay in the house with our 3 children and their girl/boyfriends. We all had such a great time there. Everything worked well in the house, and please do not forget to use the private cook Alfia. She is a must. The housemanager Silvana welcomed us very warmly, and she was a great and proffessionel help all through the week.
The nights on the terrace with stunning views was breathtaking beautiful. The house is placed in a walking distance both to Taormina and to the beautiful city Castelmola. Go there in the morning - so quiet and amazing but due to the many stairs it is not fit for disabled people. And it was also wonderful to watch Etna smoking proudly during the daytime. Perfect in every way
Dear Georgio and Ilse
Thank you very much for letting us hire your beautiful villa last week. It was the most enjoyable and relaxing family holiday to date. Your garden is simply enchanting with so many different varieties of trees, shrubs and climbers. I was also fascinated to see the peppercorn tree and we all loved the scent of Jasmine as we walked into the villa in the evenings - it brought back warm memories of Sri Lanka!
We picked lemons and made fresh lemonade which we savoured whilst watching the sun set over Mt Etna.
Silvana was fantastic in looking after us on the day of our arrival. We were lost and late and she kindly booked the restaurant for dinner and made sure we had something for breakfast too.
If possible we would love to return next year especially now that we know how to find it!
