Just a short stay in town for a funeral. Property is beautiful and short walk to the private beach. Had everything we needed. Driving a GMC 2500 Sierra was a little challenging on the narrow roads but it worked out.

Would definitely stay here again.

The house is lovely and has everything one would need for a relaxed beach vacation. The neighborhood is very private and quiet. the view of the Long Island sound from the bedroom balcony is beautiful (especially during sunsets). Everything is in its place. Debbie is wonderful and responded promptly to all our questions. We had an amazing time!

There were just a couple of things that were misleading in the description of the house. The first was that it sleeps 6 and that a cot is available. There are 2 bedrooms that each sleep 2 and a couch. There was no cot. The second is that the house is described as having a private beach. There is a beach down the road from the house that has signs up paying that it is private but it is really a neighborhood beach with lots of people there fishing, camping out, etc. This was not a problem, I just found the description on the website to be misleading. If you think that you are getting access to a truly private beach with this house, you are not.

Moments walk from the beautiful quiet beach - a mixture of sand and pebble - and less than an hour's drive from West Hampton and the surrounding public sandy beaches when you want the ocean. So much to do around the area for families - Splish Spkash, the aquarium, plenty of restaurants etc. Debbie & Virginia from Luxury Beachfront Getaway couldn't have been more helpful, we can't wait to go back!

Very cozy beach house, even nicer in person! Has a very casual and homey beach feel to it. The house is surrounded by windows which overlook the beach with excellent beach views! The beds, linens and couches are very comfortable as well. Although the location is a bit far from the majority of the wineries (25-30 min drive), the house makes and feel of the charming little town make it worth it. Only flaw I'd say about the place is that the TV wasn't clear (fuzzy picture) and the gas grill could use some internal cleaning - seems that the gas lines we're clogged so it was hard to get the flame to operate above medium. Other than that, it was just what we were looking for and we'd very much consider renting it again if we're back in the area.

We loved our stay at the Dunes. A perfect getaway. Close to the North Fork wine trail yet away from it all. Beautiful home with every amenity, walks on the beach and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Perfect! We checked out a bunch of wineries and will add some of those reviews soon! Kon-to-Kosta, Lenz, Costello Di Borghese, Paumanok, Macari, Roanoke, Jamesport Vineyards, Raphael, Baiting Hollow, Martha Clara, McCalls and Duckwalk (for Port) were all winners. Can't wait to visit again!

The house was way better in the reality than in the fotos. The yard, gas-grill and jacuzzi were nice. Beach was really close and I even went swimming despite the cold water. Shops and restaurants are kilometers away so car is a must. The house was clean and kitchen well equipped. Only negative things in the kitchen were worn-out frying pan and missing dishwasher detergent. Toilet, shower and badrooms were in the upstairs. Master bedroom was big and it had balcony. The other bedroom was a bit too small. Matresses were really, really soft in the beds. Make sure that you are "at home" at the time of sunset ;)

The house is exactly as you see in the photos, so we'll maintained and spotlessly clean. Everything you need is there. Such a relaxing experience.

Our stay at The Dunes has been a great success. the property was everything as described. Great location, idyllic setting, superbly finished and excellent fixtures and fittings....we thoroughly enjoyed a 4 day chill out after a hectic week in New York and prior to a Transatlantic Crossing back to UK - visited some wineries and explored North & South Fork...a great area - superb countryside, excellent small stores and waterside towns. A magical area. Long beach walks from The Dunes.... erc

Great customer service. Responsive and helpful. House was immaculate when we arrived. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a private beach house with amazing views. The description online didn't do it justice. I was overwhelmingly pleased upon arrival. I've stayed on the north fork before and loved it, but this was AMAZING. Hands down one of the best vacation spots on Long Island. We were supposed to arrive on Friday Jan 3, but in light of the "blizzard warnings" we asked if we might come a day early so we would be able to get there before the storm made travel unsafe. They were totally accommodating with reduced price for the extra night and all. The house is BEAUTIFUL. Glass doors that have an amazing view of the sound, a path to the beach (private~ish beach - I suspect it's shared with the houses in the neighborhood - hard to tell in the winter), which was awesome even in the dead of winter, an outdoor hot tub, also amazing even in (or especially in the dead of winter). The bed had heated blankets. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. They had coffee filters! :) It's the small things. I do wish the fireplace had been operational. Ah well, if it had been, I'd need 6 stars for this review, so probably best it wasn't. Also one of the bedrooms has a balcony. Again, in the winter, no good, but in the summer - phenomenal. And about a 45 minute drive to some of the best wineries on the north fork (highly recommend Old Field Winery). And Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is the spot to go for groceries. Homemade fresh pasta and pasta sauces, great produce section, seriously good coffee selection... cheeses etc. The house has an awesome kitchen too. I will absolutely try to return here. Next time, in the summer because I want to try out that kayak. :) And they returned my deposit within 24 hours. Thanks for an amazing weekend!

This place was fantastic! I liked that it was at the end of a road so it felt more secluded, as much as you can be in Sound Beach. Did not try out the jacuzzi but I know it works, only a short, glute busting workout from the beach, with a beautiful sunset to view every evening. Kayaks were available but unfortunately we were unable to utilize them because of a lack of proper attire. But what was utilized was the fire pit which was fully stocked and PERFECT for a chilly fall night, it was definitely a highlight. I felt so comfy and cozy, and the openness is so pleasant, there's a beautiful seating area of wicker benches where it is so nice to talk and relax. Cooked on the grill, everything came out great. The bedrooms were lovely, the master having a great view of the beach. Everything was clean, stocked and available, there are no complaints. Great stay, I would do it again.

This charming home was the perfect place to get away and relax. Although the wifi was provided, I was very happy to simply turn my cell phone off for a few days and enjoy the shore (just steps away!). The hot tub was clean, the yard was beautiful, and the fire pit was a great place to sit at night. We have already booked the house again and look forward to using the free kayaks on that visit!
