Very well appointed and within easy reach of the town and other attractions e.g. Pont de Valentre. We hadn’t appreciated that our view was a little spoilt by being opposite the pumping station but we were still able to see Pont de Valentre. Nelly and Alan were very helpful and accommodated our early morning departure.

Great view of the famous bridge and convenient location at edge of town on the river, but accessible on foot to old heart of town.
Apartment has every convenience and piece of equipment you can think of. Very comfortable. Rather a tight turning with no landing on the one flight of stairs - care needing to be taken for older guests, but manageable. Huge, wrap around balcony gave great sense of space and being outdoors. This balcony ran on to the next door balcony - very convenient for us as we wanted three sleeping spaces and so rented the two bedroom apartment and the one bedroom apartment but used them as one accessing through the balcony. Very convenient arrangement for three friends wanting our own spaces..
A very good stay.

Great Holiday!!
The flat was just right! Comfortable, easy to live in and very well equipped. (There is no lift as mentioned in the details, not that you need one.) Cahors was a lovely town, and the flat in a great location overlooking the river and Pont Valentre. There were great places to swim and kayak in the Lot valley and it was exceptionally pretty with relatively few tourists. We agreed it was the best holiday we had had in France for many years.

Very comfortable and well equipped apartment in superb location
Nelly and Alain were great hosts and their apartment, on the bank of the river Lot overlooking an amazing 14 century bridge, was beautifully presented and well equipped. We loved sitting on the large balcony enjoying the river scene in the evening. It was very easy to walk into old town Cahors or get away by car (and there is a dedicated garage) to all the wonderful areas of the Lot valley and historic sights. We would highly recommend to others and definitely return to this lovely apartment in a very quiet area - we had a superb week. Thank you!

Excellent Apartment in Cahors
This a spacious and very well equipped apartment within 10-15 mins walking distance of the centre of Cahors, and the Pont Valentré practically on the doorstep. Our visit was in November, so we didn't manage to use the spacious balcony with barbecue - but that would be superb in summer. The apartment has an excellent kitchen with more equipment than most people will need - and don't miss Les Halles for shopping, we even managed to buy fresh real Perigord truffles! Nelly & Alain made us very welcome and couldn't do enough to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. If you need a 2 bed apartment in Cahors then this one can be highly recommended and we'll stay here again if we return to Cahors.

Spacious, well equipped apartment by the beautiful river Lot
We stayed here for 25 days and loved every one of them. The apartment is very clean, spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything one could possibly need and situated in a quiet area by the River Lot. The large terrace provides the perfect spot to sit and watch life on the river. The owners, Nelly and Alaine are justifiably proud of their apartment and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We will be ever grateful for the help they gave us in retrieving our lost luggage from Air France. Cahors provides an excellent base for exploring the region and the town itself is full of interest, both historic and modern. The twice weekly market is a treat and there are numerous excellent restaurants. We have no hestition in giving this apartment the highest recommendation.

Bridge View with Fussiness and Noise
We agree with most of the nice things the other reviews say about this apartment. Well equipped, two bedrooms, etc. However, we think travelers would like to know about the most obvious negative of this apartment
Directly across the street, on the river, is a small water treatment plant. It always makes a noise, and that's probably the "gentle hum" the landlord mentions in her description. But what she doesn't mention is that often the noise turns into a loud, whoosing sound that caused us to flee indoors and shut the windows.
Back home at our local airport we have to walk out on the tarmac to get to an airplane, and sometimes a plane's jet engines will be idling. It's a fairly loud sound and it's a relief when you can get off the tarmac. And that's what the sound was like from the water treatment plant. Like a jet engine waiting to take off.
To be fair, the jet engine noise varied during the day from the jet sound to that gentle hum. But its presence prevented us from fully enjoying the large deck. We tried having Sunday lunch on the patio but gave up after the noise got to be too much.
It's also unfortunate that the view of the pretty Lot River is obstructed by the same water plant. To see the river and the Valentre bridge, you have to crane your neck to the left.
We also deduct points for the very laborious check-in and check-out process. It was a lesson in old-fashioned, French bureaucracy. It took about 45 minutes to cover every tiny detail about the apartment, including how to put down the toilet seat, how to open windows, how to open the fridge, etc. Most of the instructions involved NO and DON'T. As in, don't put anything hot on the counter, don't move this corkscrew from this drawer, don't slam the toilet seat down, don't put the blinds up too far.
There were extra charges to rent bath and kitchen linens (the VRBO listing does say that lines are extra, but still). We had to pay 25 Euros "rent" on towels that were like drying yourself with tissues, they were so thin. These cheap linens could have been purchased for a few Euros.
Extra points deduction for the long, laborious check-out process where every single thing was counted, every appliance was checked and, of course, there were more forms to be filled out and signed off before we could get our deposit returned.
Bottom line: will we return to the apartment? No.

A wonderful apartment with every home comfort and amazing view
From the warmest of welcomes from our hosts we could not have wished for more from our stay in this lovely apartment. The owners really had thought of everything and it was obvious from their welcome that they wanted us to enjoy our stay.
The apartment is spacious and furnished to a very high standard. We encountered a real heatwave during our stay so the air conditioning was an essential luxury. Eating out on the balcony in the evening and watching the Pont Valentre was truly unforgettable. The town centre is just a 10 minute or so walk away and there is a lovely footpath right from the door around the riverside to the historic quarter of Cahors. There are a few basic shops within walking distance but the supermarket was an easy 10 minute drive away for big shops.

Third time is the best, yet!
We love this city, the apartment and Nelly and Alain for their grand hospitality. This was our third stay in 3 years. We couldn't stay away, dreaming of the rillette d'oie, melon Quercy and the beautiful river Lot that flowed by in front of our gorgeous, huge terrace. Cahors is fascinating and loaded with great restaurants, city markets and beautiful historical experiences. Madame and Monsieur Serra are superb hosts and the apartment provides you everything you need with the best equipped kitchen in all our travels.
Merci Madame et Monsieur!

Excellent apartment in great location
We stayed for a week in this very comfortable 2 bedroom apartment. While the bedrooms are a little small, the living areas are huge – particularly the lounge/TV room and the outside deck. The recently renovate kitchen has high quality fittings and equipment – including dishwasher and clothes washing machine. The kitchen cupboards are stocked with basic food items such as salt/pepper/cooking oil/flour/sugar/etc. The furniture is good quality and comfortable – as were the beds. The apartment is very well stocked with crockery, glasses and cooking equipment. There is a gas BBQ provided on the deck, along with outdoor furniture and shade awnings and umbrellas. The air conditioning was quiet and efficient.
The TV has a fair range of channels - but no English. The internet service was very good – reliable and good speed.
A bonus was the private lock-up garage under the apartment as parking in the area can be difficult.
The location is another of the apartment’s key features. The internet photos depicting a wonderful view of the Pont are absolutely accurate. The Pont and all its surrounding parkland and walking paths are within 2 minutes walk. The walk to the old town centre is about 10 minutes. There are also river views to the South. Our apartment had the minor misfortune of being directly in line with the small hydro plant on the river bank in front. It blocked out part of the river view directly in front - it was a slight annoyance rather than a big issue. The owner’s next door apartment does not have this obstruction. The hydro plant does make some whining noise, but it is minimal when on the deck and absolutely silent inside the apartment.
Cahors is a lovely town in itself, but it is also well located for day trips to the many nearby attractions.
The owners are lovely people. They were waiting for us at the apartment at the agreed time and gave us a complete run-down on how to use everything. No trouble with payment or refund of security deposit.
If there is a negative to this apartment it would be the west facing aspect of the deck. Sitting on the deck in the late afternoon to admire the great views is not possible at some times because of the angle of the sun. Only a small issue – we enjoyed many breakfasts and lunches on the deck during the shaded hours.
We can thoroughly recommend this apartment.

Return to paradise!
This was our second stay at this beautifully appointed apartment in one of our favorite French city. The owners are great hosts, picking us up at the train station when we arrived and delivering us back to the station when we left. We loved using the well appointed kitchen and wide gorgeous terrace for long, leisurely meals.
When we did not want to cook, there are lots of fine restaurants and a couple of great ones in Cahors. We loved the Wednesday and Saturday markets. Lots of wonderful local produce, meat and that great french bread.
We look forward to returning to this sunny slice of France.

Great apartment in an excellent location
An excellently equipped and brilliantly positioned apartment. Nelly & Alain were very helpful and have provided all you could want for a relaxing holiday, and the position is ideal for some lively sightseeing. We had a very hot 2 weeks in early July and were extremely grateful for the air conditioning. There are a few good restaurants nearby and the old town is only 10 mins. walk away. We fully expect to return.

An excellent apartment in a lovely location.
Madame and Monsieur Serra were very pleasant; thorough in introducing us to the apartment which is thoughtfully and well equipped; and very helpful to us on our arrival and departure.
The apartment is spacious and well designed. The terrace and the views are delightful. Excellent food and wine are nearby; plentiful and reasonable to boot. We love Cahors; will revisit.
A very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Great apartment in excellent location.
Four adult relatives had a great week in this wonderful apartment. We had most of our meals on the large balcony overlooking the river Lot, including three BBQs. There is everything you could need in the apartment - including a shopping trolley! It is also close to the town center. The sound of the small hydroelectric plant was not a problem, in fact the sound of the river cascading over the weirs was very pleasant. Nelly was very efficient and friendly and Alain even gave us a lift to the nearby train station with our luggage.

Terrific apartment
Just returned from two weeks in the beautiful town of Cahors, where my traveling companion and I enjoyed museums, restaurants, outdoor markets, exquisite gardens, and much more. The lovely apartment we rented was spacious and well equipped and located in a quiet neighborhood with a gorgeous view of the River Lot. The large balcony was ideal for relaxing and dining, though some type of water treatment building was directly across from one half of the space. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. I would definitely recommend this property as comfortable, well maintained, and conveniently located.
