My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. My wife and I both agree that staying here was the highlight of our trip to Louisiana. Its a very quiet location and perfect for people who want to unwind.

We really enjoyed our stay. Cozy setting and the animals were very friendly. We ran into Gerard taking care of his chickens and he was very warm and kind. We'd definitely love to stay here again in the future.

Clean and comfy

A perfect place to stay after a long day on the road! Not only did the host welcome us when we arrived but so did the farm animals! Chickens, dogs, cat and even the neighbors horse came up to the fence. The host are very sweet and we enjoyed talking with them. The cabin is very clean and the bed was so comfy! We will be staying again next week on our trip back to Ft.Worth and this will be a regular stop from now on! No more noisy hotels for us!

We had a great stay in a unique environment (to us). Chickens, horses, dogs, cats. It was amazing how clean and nicely decorated our place in the barn was! We had everything we needed. The grounds with the horse pastures were beautiful and looking out of the perfectly located windows onto the stunning view of horses grazing, trees and morning light was gorgeous! The hosts were very personable and we enjoyed talking with them. I would definitely return.

The apartment was clean and as advertised. This was our 2nd stay here and we enjoy the country setting. The hosts are very personable. We look forward to staying here again.

A quick one night stay on way back to Texas from Dauphin Island. We were pulling a 28' boat so needed a place with enough parking. The farm was a perfect location and so easy to find. This will definitely be our go to place when traveling on I-10. So peaceful and super clean. Soft sheets and towels, assortment of keurig pods, snack basket and the most friendliest owners!! Annette & Gerard went out of the way to make sure we had all the comforts of home. They even let the grandchildren ride the pony. Can't wait to visit the farm again.

We had such a wonderful stay here. Peaceful, comfortable. Our hosts are lovely people and we enjoyed chatting with them. My son was thrilled to be around all the farm animals. I was grateful for washer/dryer and the peace and quiet as we escaped the city life for a week. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

My best friend and I came in late after driving from Wisconsin and it immediately exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean and comfortable. It has everything we needed. The owners are incredibly kind and we enjoyed learning about the area. Our purpose for the Journey was to go to Rayne to pick up beautiful antique doors for my home from (Jim’s antique doors) and we stopped at planned 2 perfection down the street from that shop and it was great as well! The coffee depot and boneless grill are also both highly recommended from our experiences. Overall we had a warm welcome from our first trip to Louisiana and will be visiting this VRBO again in the future.

This was our first time staying here but we'll be booking again same time next year. It was very easy to find and easy to check in, especially since Gerard was out there to greet us. Gerard & Annette were both great and we got to enjoy all their farm buddies: the horses, the dogs (pet Trigger for us), cats and the chickens. It was nice and quiet & secure and that was was a big factor from staying in town.

We liked that it was out in the country, but it was close to town as well.

The "Farm Charm" property was just lovely! We arrived on 11/03/22 and were able to check in just as the website said we would. It's a quaint 1-bedroom apartment inside a metal "barn" building. The apartment had everything we needed. We were greeted by Mrs. Melancon shortly after arriving. She was very friendly and welcoming. The property is on the Melancon's horse farm that includes horses, ponies, two adorable puppies, and lots of chickens! The property was easy to find as the directions are perfect. It was a lovely country get-a-way. We met Mr. Melancon the day we checked out and he was just as lovely as Mrs. Melancon. I would recommend this VRBO property to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay in the country, but still close to I-10.

The farm with all of the animals - horses, goats, chickens, and dogs - was fun and relaxing entertainment! The hosts Annette and Gerard were hospitable and friendly. The room was very clean and charming.

We had a wonderful one night stay on our way to Gulf Shores. The hosts were very welcoming & it was so fun visiting with them & the horses! The place was very cute & clean. We would definitely stay again when passing through and will recommend to others!

Great place to stay wanted to stay again in a couple of weeks but already booked

We are grandparents who came to visit our daughter and granddaughter. The 13 yr old Princess loved the horses and other farm animals, all of whom she petted thoroughly - Except the chickens! The cozy interior was adequate for family meals for 4. The accommodations were perfect for our needs.

Absolutely flawless stay. The animals were a plus (friendly & quiet) especially with the kids. Wish the sky would have been clearer so we could have seen how bright the stars are from all the CHARM!

Enjoyed our stay on the farm. The children enjoyed the animals and we slept very well. Nice and clean place. The owners were very nice. We would love to come back if we are in the vicinity again.

We loved staying at Annette and Gerard's "Farm Charm" house! Cute, super clean, excellent location and amazing hosts. We have stayed at their other property in sunset before and it was amazing as well! They have lots of farm animals that my kids loved seeing and petting, and my daughters even got to go on some morning feeds with Mr. Gerard :) Would recommend either of their properties to anyone!

A one night stay wasn’t long enough and we’ll definitely be back. The home is clean and cozy! The animals are welcoming and cute, especially the little brown/gray donkey I could’ve snuggled her for days! And although we didn’t get to meet in person because our stay was so short, Annette was so quick to answer my texts and questions. Don’t know when we’ll be back through LA but when we do this will be the first place we’ll look at staying at!

The farm is so quiet and peaceful. The hosts were so friendly and answered all my animal questions! This will be a regular place for us to stay.
