The location of the apartment is ideal with supermarkets close by, near the beach and only a short walk to the bus stop.

Sadly we were not able to stay due to the fact that our plan was to stay two nights then return to Calais and take a ferry to the UK as ‘walk on ‘ passengers. Unfortunately the ferry was already fully booked two days prior to our departure so we had to make a last minute decision to stay over in Calais and take a five hour rail trip up to Dieppe in order to take another ferry. We understood that when we pre-paid that it was non-refundable, but had hoped that the property owners would see their way in giving us at least a partial refund, even though the folks at Booking.Com approached them on our behalf we were unable to secure any refunds. We had every intention on staying at the property as Dunkerque was to have been a highlight of our trip.

The apartment was in a great location; within very close reach of a supermarket, Patisserie and bus stops ( with free bus transport throughout Dunkirk). We were able to walk to the beach too. Local people were friendly and many places to visit and things to do.

We are English and we couldn't find a kettle in the apartment to make our cups of tea (!), which initially was very disappointing, but we ended up using a saucepan to boil water and the hob was incredibly quick heating the water, so all was well!

Everything! The kitchen was easy to use. The bathroom with washing machine very useful. Great sofa bed, very comfy! It was very quiet and peaceful.
