Very clean and peaceful. Would stay again!

This property is just what we needed. Very quiet, secluded cabin in the woods with a charming fire pit and patio. We were there during a heat wave so we had to get creative with the fans and AC so the rooms would stay cool. Be sure to read the info carefully: there are no linens, it's on well water so bring your own water, no wifi, and cell service is spotty. As long as that's what you want, this place is great.

Myself and 3 adult daughters spent a long weekend at Teresa’s house. Very cute place. Plenty of room for us all to move about comfortably. Plenty of seating, and fairly well appointed. The property itself is in a beautiful location. There are neighbors nearby , but it still feels very private. We would definitely stay again!

Nice cabin in the woods. Very quiet

Great sized cabin for your family or friends. Even in February, the woods and raviones are so nice to gaze at. I hope to return in the summertime to really enjoy the spacious yard, fire pit, and grill. It was really nice feeling remote, but are able to quickly roll into the town of Penn Yan or Geneva from here. Everything is comfy and will suit you just right. Mostly enjoyed our short stay at this cute, quaint cabin. I say “mostly” because on our last night, several dogs were barking well past midnight. This is no reflection on the owner but not the peaceful night rest we had hoped before a long drive home. The owner was very accommodating and responsive to questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin and wooded surroundings. It was a great base point for day trips to Watkins Glen State Park and Ithaca while we were there. Each time enjoyed returning to this "little house in the woods" which provided us comfort and quiet. Air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us very content as the temperature climbed during the day. Be sure to bring your own water for drinking, as the well water was a little off-putting. Will need to bring your own sheets and pillows. Other than that, we had everything we needed and then some!

We needed to attend a wedding in the area. This is the most cost effective option. Two adult couples were able to stay here with a reasonable amount of comfort. The seating options from previous reviews have been fixed. There was plenty of seating for 4 adults. Honestly for the price in the area this is ideal. It was a quick easy trip into penn yan. We just needed a place to sleep we were busy everyday. We were able to get ready for a wedding with two women fairly well. Your packing list needs to include: sheets pillow cases comforter (we brought quilts to reduce bulk) towels washcloths bathroom floor mat and we brought 5 gallons of water for a 3 day stay. We used the water for coffee ice cubes and iced tea. The mattress in the larger bedroom is comfortable not overly firm. The mattress in the second bedroom is very firm. The ac wasn't installed in the bedrooms and the ac downstairs doesn't reach the bedrooms. We brought fans with us so we were okay. There is no fan in the 2nd bedroom. The fees on this place are not overinflated. I think the owners are very fair. The property doesn't have laundry and so I think it's fair that you need to bring in and take your own laundry. It also reduces the cleaning fee I'm sure. We felt this was perfect for a three night stay. We're very grateful for having found affordable accomodation in such a high cost area.

Cozy little place. We only slept there. I went to the wineries during the day. It was a cold weekend, it always seemed a little chilly downstairs because of it.

Overall great little cabin retreat. Lock box didn’t work . The check in code is with the door code not as described. Had to figure that out . Was also listed that no bed linens provided, but indicated nothing about no bath towels. Just a little something nice to be provided would have been tissues and paper towels. If you don’t like well water take the advice on bringing your own drinking water. Would go back making different alterations in what is needed for the weekend. Cute quiet place in the woods.

The house was very nice and clean. It is great for a long weekend getaway. Couple of things that would have helped. 1. There is what I consider a hidden fee. Once I decided on the house and proceed it said I need to have insurance which was not listed when you look at the at the cost breakdown. So, either I took the insurance or paid lump sum to be reimbursed in 6 weeks if everything was ok. So, I took the insurance which add a lot more to the total cost. This is something that should be list in your cost breakdown. If I had the time I would have keep looking. 2. A bath math for when you get out of the shower, floor was slippery. 3. Instruction on how to work the heater and what to do with the trash would have been nice. Besides the above, I am glad I stay here it was relaxing and peaceful, just what I needed.

Great property & Great location, close and easy access to everything

We picked this rental because it was described as secluded while still a short drive to town, and that's exactly what it was. It was quiet and peaceful and the fire pit was the perfect touch for a laid back evening after dinner. The house itself is very minimal but has everything you'd need for a short stay (aside from linens). We only had to drive 5 minutes into Penn Yan and 20 minutes either direction for dinner on Keuka or to Geneva. We will definitely stay here again!

The listing is exactly as described. It was the perfect, peaceful getaway for my husband and I. We had a very nice time.

Enjoyed our stay during our wine tasting adventure

I loved this place! Perfect location for exploring both Seneca and Keuka lake wineries and hiking trails. Fantastic stay - cabin has a well stocked kitchen, fun horseshoe pit area and wonderful fire pit. Very quiet area if you are looking for a peaceful trip. Will definitely return for another visit. Only thing to note for future renters is make sure you bring all your own linens, including blankets and pillows. We luckily had thrown in a few pillows but I was not expecting the cabin to not have any.

We wine toured Seneca and wanted a quiet spot to hang out with our friends after. The house was perfect. Great location and very comfortable.

A perfect place to celebrate our anniversary with our kids, we played outside, did some bbq and had lots of fun. Great place to stay, close to the town and other beutiful places to visit, highly recomended. What a great place ! Perfect size for a small get away . Close to everything , even close enough to town to have food delivered ! The wineries in the area were amazing . Would recommend and would go back again !

My husband and I and another couple stayed at the Keuka Hydaway Cabin the last weekend of September. Communication with Teresa was great - she was available immediately to answer any questions we had. The cabin is certainly not "glamorous" but that's not what we expected given the fact it's a cabin and after looking at the photos. Yes, the water is very hard but that didn't bother us much. We all took showers and our hair didn't "turn colors" (as another reviewer said theirs did). Definitely brought water to drink but we usually do that anyway! The location could NOT be any better! The cabin is just outside of Penn Yan and it didn't take any time at all to go into town to eat or to launch our friend's boat. Plus the setting is simply gorgeous! Beds were comfortable. The only negative is that it would be nice to have more seating in the living room - there's only a small couch and since there were four of us it was awkward when we tried to sit inside to visit. We had to move 2 chairs from the dining area (which were not comfortable to sit on for very long). But I won't take off any points for that because we really did enjoy our stay and are planning a return visit next year! Thanks for your hospitality, Teresa!

If you are looking for a peaceful get-away for you alone or a group, this is the ideal location for you. The property is very well kept and has everything that you would need for a secluded stay especially to connect with nature. Exactly what I needed for my soul, numerous vineyards and winery's to visit and interesting trails to hike in the area.

This cabin is quite a little gem and the photos do this place no justice (much cuter in person!!). Close to restaurants and wineries but tucked away in the woods! Will definitely be renting again for our next wine tour *cheers*

Had a great stay on hideaway lane. Everything was as advertised. Somewhat of an awkward layout with the bath off the kitchen but since the two of us no big deal. Overall very clean and in a very private setting. I had inquired about whether firewood for the pit was available and owner said yes for purchase which was fine. Upon arrival there was none. Sent a message asking about this and owners had some brought out within a half hour! How great was that. Fire pits real nice. Real close to Penn Yan which has several nice restaurants. Central to most fingerlakes attractions. Would stay again for sure!

We love staying here.. Far away from everyone where you can relax and have a fire. The host is awesome and easy to get ahold of if needed. Will always be our place to stay when visiting family..

Easy to get to clean the kitchen needs new drinking glasses

This is a lovely cabin to stay in! Great location close to Penn Yan and Hammondsport, and listing was entirely accurate.

Stayed a week, house was perfect for our family of three. Perfectly located between Seneca Lake and Keuka Lake. We love to fish so this was perfect for us. Very privately located so not much traffic. We enjoyed the campfire each night and definitely made use of the charcoal grill outside! Beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked great. The property also includes a horseshoe pit which made for a fun evenings. Located near Watkins Glen as well (about 35 mins away) so that made a few great adventures and memories with the family. The only thing to note, which other guests did as well was the water. Just bring some bottled water and you should be good. We have hard water at our home so it wasn't a big deal for us. So, if your looking for a nice peaceful and quiet stay. This is it! Would definitely recommend to others. Just enough outside of town, but close enough to where things are within 5 mins.

We enjoyed a moms getaway weekend. It was a basic cottage but cute. Please note that it says linens are not included which I thought meant towels and sheets but that also means there are no blankets or comforters either so be sure to bring those. The host was very responsive. It would be nice to have another chair or something else to sit on in the living room as there is only a couch.

This was a perfect location to explore Lake Seneca and Keuka. Nice and quiet tucked away in the woods but literally minutes to downtown Penn Yan. We had a couple of very minor issues. - The security code listed for the keybox is actually the code for the door but that won't work without the key. We may have missed an email with the code. A quick phone call to the owner solved this issue easily. - The listing says to bring your own linens. We didn't bring enough. This was our fault. A quick trip to town solved this problem. - The heater is located at the bottom of the stairs and the thermostat is next to the heater. We had temps in the 30s some nights and temperatures in the 60s during the day so it was a challenge to maintain optimal indoor temps all day and night especially upstairs. Again, we needed additional linens and problem solved. This cabin is not a 5-star hotel and is not priced as such. You're getting exactly what is advertised. My recommendation is to read the seller's description and other guest's reviews and you won't be surprised or disappointed. We would absolutely stay here again if we go back to the Penn Yan area.
