Everything with the villa was well represented in the description and photos. Would rent again.

We really enjoyed our two week stay at villa Bougainvilliers. The first week we hosted two friends and the second we spent alone. The pool was clean and very refreshing. AC and WiFi worked well. Very private. We had some issues with Hertz Car Rental and the host and her manager helped us solve it. Over all a great stay.

What a beautiful and conveniently small property to stay in to see all of St. Barts.

Fantastic property, location, host and staff! François the host was very communicative during the booking and pre-arrival process. Mathieu and Christine were so accommodating during our stay. The villa is immaculate and well-equipped. We had everything we needed to feel at home - from the Nespresso machine to the beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. Everything was provided. We didn't want to leave! Thank you all for being such wonderful hosts. We would love to come back!

The host was prompt with responses, there is also a property manager Mathieu to help with pick up and send off to the airport. Also, a cleaning lady came on site daily. You can see the view of the Beach from the porch, it was a most pleasant stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely villa. it was clean and well-maintained. It turned out to be in a very good location also, with a beautiful view of the water. The owner was exceptionally easy to communicate with before our trip, providing lots of helpful information. It really was a perfect place for two couples to stay. I highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay in November with our two young kids. Marigot is the ideal location on St Barts in my opinion, as it allows you access to almost all beaches without needing to deal with St Jean or Gustavia traffic. Minutes from the house are groceries, two Boulangeries for breakfast, and fish/butcher. The owner, property manager, and cleaners were all a pleasure to deal with. We will stay here next time without even looking at other options. It’s ideal.

Absolutely loved the location and privacy this villa offers. There’s plenty of towels and linens for your stay and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Just across the road is a small beach you can snorkel at. When we went there was just a few people there which was nice. Matthieu the property manager is WONFERFUL!! We had issues with our flight off the island being canceled at the last minute (during the COVID19 pandemic) he met us at the airport spoke to several agents about the best way for us to get back to the US. Thanks to him we were able to get a flight out the next day. Christina comes daily to clean the villa. She always greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant to talk with. The only downfall was the mosquitoes!!! Lots and lots of mosquitoes.

We arrived late, and were greeted by the property manager with our rental car ready to go, and food for dinner and breakfast in hand. As soon as we settled in, the beauty of our setting started working on us. With our choice of beaches, simple or fancy dining, and the overall elegance of nearby Gustavia, we could satisfy every wish. Our housekeeper was a joy. Any problem was quickly attended to. We were happy!

Villa Bougainvilliers is a charming villa in lovely location. Being so close to the water, it was wonderful to hear the waves while in the house. The House has everything you need and the layout works great as the bedrooms are at either end of the house. The house is very private and with wonderful views of the water. The garden, pool and patio are perfect for dining and relaxing in the sun. Francois and his entire team really took care of us and was there for all our needs. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this Villa.

If you never leave the villa and just stay by the pool on the terrace and watch the ocean in front of you, the visit to Villa Bougainvilliers is a vacation. The owner communicates quickly and offers someone to meet you at the airport or ferry. Daily housekeeping and terrific restaurant suggestions abound.

The villa was perfect for our group of four. The bedrooms and baths are spacious and comfortable, and the living room and kitchen are functional and tasteful. We loved and utilized the wireless speaker system. It’s fully outfitted for joyful cooking and consuming. The garden, pool and patio are perfect for relaxing, dining and just having fun. Francois entire team really took care of us. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more.

Property was as described. Nice part of island. Maid service was very good. Owner was very responsive before and during stay. The whole team went the extra mile for us. St Barts is well recovered from the hurricane .

My family had an amazing holiday at Villa Bougainvilliers. We have been going to St Barths annually for our son's school vacation week and will be sure to book Villa Bougainvilliers in time for a truly rejuvenating week. The villa is just as described, it is positioned so you never view any neighbors and you have complete privacy, walk down the driveway and you are at a small bay for swimming and snorkeling, a 2 minute drive around the corner where you can rent SUP, glass bottomed kayaks, and beach cabanas at Guanahani, La Sereno, or other nearby resorts and restaurants for minimal fees. This villa has a great layout, vaulted ceilings, a beautiful patio, clean pool with a breathtaking views, plenty of seating, lounge chairs, towels, cooking utensils, strong WiFi, a grill (definitely hit the fish stand in Lorient Tues-Sat for lobster and an amazing selection of fish), tents and chairs (for the private Saline beach with no cabanas), if this list doesn't have what you need, the house manager, house keeper, pool cleaner, or gardener will be happy to oblige. An amazing property management team is responsive, but allows for your solitude. I highly recommend this property!!

We recently returned from a week at this wonderful place and agreed that it was one of the most relaxing vacations yet. It truly is a place to sit back, relax and enjoy the simple life. The house is situated in a perfect location - a 5 min. drive to a wonderful bakery and market, close to everything but very peaceful and quiet. It is true that due to the size of the island, you are close to everything but unlike some other islands driving around here is pleasant with lovely views and gardens. We had our kids aged 9-12 with us and the entire island was safe, clean and breathtakingly beautiful. At night when you sit outside on the terrace you can hear the waves and watch the stars. The house has a lovely view of the sea. I agree with the previous review that the beach at the end on the driveway is warm, calm and good for snorkeling (We saw beautiful fish and turtles) but not really a beach to lay on. Also, the driveway (as most of the driveways seem to be) is quite steep - we needed it to work off the fabulous breads, pastries etc. Our favorite beach was Saline, where the kids never tired of the waves. There are beach chairs and a cooler that you can use which is great. The house is charming and has everything you need. A minor inconvenience was the lack of a washing machine for towels as we found that between the beach, pool and showers we were using a lot. A very pleasant lady came to clean in the mornings and replaced the towels a few times. The air conditioning and WIFI worked very well and it was very comfortable. The terrace and pool area were huge hits with the kids and very private. The pool was very clean and well cared for. I do think that the house may look slightly older than the photos suggest but we loved it. There are many newly built properties but this house is so comfortable and welcoming that we doubt we would have liked any one better. Matthew was wonderful to us and having met us at the Ferry, took us to the Airport to wait almost 2 hours for delayed bags that we were assured by Jet Blue would turn up at some point. He was never intrusive but we had his cell number and knew where to find him if we needed anything, which we didn't. Francois, the owner was extremely easy to deal with, helpful and willing to quickly answer any questions we had before the trip. The island of St. Barth was so much more than we expected with helpful, friendly people, beautiful breezes and incredible beaches. We hope to return one day soon.

We stayed here our first visit to St Bart's in 2009 and fell in love with this charming villa and its wonderful view of Marigot, with the sounds of waves from the Carribean Sea. We stayed in a more modern/chic villa in Flammands the second visit - no comparison to the view and the sounds! Four adults shared this villa with plenty of privacy. The property is very unique as it has its own driveway and gardens, it is not crammed on top of another villa along a hillside like so many other villas. Also, the vistas that are seen each and every time driving home to this lovely place are absolutely breathtaking, we missed that in the other section of town. The long driveway is a very steep grade, excellent for a safe morning cardio/glute workout (the roads are very narrow with fast moving cars). And the family of turtles will come out to visit you as well, looking for snacks, we hand fed them apple slices. The pool gets the best mid morning sun only, but we spent most of our days at the beaches. Marigot beach (at the bottom of the driveway) is a place for snorkeling, not a beach for laying in the sand, not enough space for a blanket, you get right in and see lots of beautiful fish, my husband even saw a lobster. The villa location is not more than 20 minutes from the farthest point on the island, once you conquer the driving. Matthew, the property manager is very helpful and lives nearby for any needs. Francois, the owner is very courteous & easy to communicate with via email. The villa wifi was flawless as well for that necessary communication back home. I must recommend bug repellant for the night time on the patio, this is no fault of the owner, the property has lush gardens for the island, each time we stayed had many bites (never saw the sneaky bastards) after spending time outside, I think some were acquired at the open air dining establishments as well. The cost of staying at this villa is the absolute best price on the island- I hate to reveal this, it feels like a well kept secret!

We had a really nice time at Villa Bougainvilliers. We are a family of four, with two small kids. Location is great. Walking down the driveway is a small beach with snorkeling. Very easy and quick to get to anywhere in the island Turtles still come in the afternoon, and lizards, and hummingbirds =)) The house was cleaned every day; the dishes emptied from the dishwasher and any dishes that were left dirty - washed and put away. We noticed the pool was cleaned at least once while we were there. Francois, the owner, was very helpful and extremely prompt in answering any questions that we've had before we left. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying there again.

We came for 10 days, had a fantastic time here. We have been to St. Barth's many times, this place is really well priced for what you get. The villa is just as listed, charming, well equipped, with a nice view of Marigot Bay. Owner Francois and his caretaker Mathieu were extremely helpful. Marigot Beach is within walking distance but we went to the other beaches every day... Saline, Gouveneur, Flamands, St Jean.... and found a great quiet little beach in Petit Cul de Sac (we had my 85 year old mother with us so the surf at the bigger beaches was a bit much for her getting in and out, the swimming at Petit Cul de Sac was a touch weedy but very calm). We were lucky to meet a local fisherman, Patrick, at the beach at the end of our driveway ( MArigot), he was cleaning his catch in front of his house and he sold us fresh Mahi Mahi, and also was able to get us fresh lobster from his friend, both were amazing! For dining out, we were extremely disappointed with Maya's.... really overpriced, the food was boring and cold. The pizza place on the harbour in Gustavia ( look for the coloured lights) was great, thin crust pizza, great service. Also enjoyed Eddie's in Gustavia. Le Toiny is amazing if you want a fancier experience, the ambience and food are superlative.... they also have a great Sunday brunch, you need reservations. We met the turtle in the garden once, he's a bit shy but he does exist! I highly recommend Villa Bougainvillier to anyone, even with small kids. We didn't have kids but this place would be suitable. Villa Bougainvilliers has a lovely view perched on a hilltop in St. Barths. The location is perfect for exploring any other part of the island. The villa is set up nicely for a small family or two couples vacationing together. The property is well-maintained, and the local property manager very helpful! Would love to return to this paradise!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this beautiful villa. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we got the quiet, secluded, and very private house that we had hoped for. Mathieu met us at the airport and was extremely helpful in every way, from shopping to a dead battery in our rental car one day. The house was incredible! The view from the pool deck was spectacular and the ocean breezes made it very comfortable. The bedrooms are both airconditioned but we really didn't need it at night. It was great to listen to the waves. We walked down the driveway to the beach which has excellent snorkeling. We enjoyed the 3 friendly turtles which visited everyday. We drove all around St. Barts and stayed in Gustavia our last night, but this villa is definitely in the best area. It's beautiful, and a great snorkeling beach is just a short walk. We will go back!

Our family of 3 stayed for a week in August ‘10. Great house, great location, zero hassle with either Francois (the owner) or Matt (on-site manager who is always on call for any issues – there weren’t any), will definitely come back again to the same spot. Very smart layout of the property, it is designed in such a way you’d never guess there are other houses around the villa. Total privacy, you would not see or hear other people, pretty amazing. Inside, the 2 bedrooms are separated by the living room and kitchen, could easily fit either two couples or family of 4. Clearly, the place was designed by the owner to live there full-time. Fully equipped kitchen allowing you to cook at home anything you want, including a big casserole for lobsters. We loved the pool that’s a centerpiece of the courtyard – it’s large (maybe 25-30ft long & 12-15ft wide) and deep enough (6ft) to enjoy a nice swim for an adult, would be great for kids learning to swim. The terrace gets sun pretty much all day long, so you could tan right by the poolside. The view from the terrace is gorgeous overlooking the Marigot bay, you would sit looking a the ocean and boats on the horizon, and feel the breeze coming in. The villa is literally located some 150-200 yards (or meters) going uphill from the Marigot beach, the only “green” beach in St Barts where you could snorkel to observe marine life, turtles, a sleeping shark, etc. I guess for that reason the beach is never crowded (we would see only a couple of families there), it almost feels like a private beach belonging the small community surrounding it. Marigot bay is shielded from the open ocean, so it’s not windy, and the water is calm. If you’re interested in active sports, it’d be at most a 5-min drive down the road to Grand Cul de Sac turning right from the villa (passing Guanahani to which you could walk), and perhaps 7-10 min further down to Le Toiny for surfing, or you could turn left from the property and drive 7-10 mins towards Lorient. To us Bougainvilliers sounds like one of the best deals in St Barts for what it offers.

I encourage anyone looking for a wonderful home to stay in on St. Barth's to consider Villa Bounganvilla. very affordable and very convenient to shopping and restaurants. It is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views and a nice beach within a few mins walk that is good for snorkeling or you can make a quick drive to all the beaches. the owners Mimi & Francois were very accessible and everything was just how we imagined. When we arrived on the island, their on-island manager was waiting despite our ferry being an hour late... and it is definately the only home on the island with a turtle that shows up every night at 5pm expecting to be fed!

We shared Villa Bougainvilliers with another couple for a week and thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent there. The view of Marigot Bay from the outdoor patio is incredible and the sound of the breaking surf is what a vacation is all about! The villa is cozy and well furnished but it is really the view, comfort and beauty of the patio, pool and surrounding landscape that make Villa Bougainvilliers a special place. That and the fact that it sits in paradise, i.e. St. Barths!!! Other pluses include the short walk to snorkeling; the short drive to nearby grocery stores (as one must have fresh bread and croissants when one is in St. Barths) and shops; and the WIFI which allowed us to stay in touch with home while we vacationed in paradise. Last, and certainly not least, the owners are two of the nicest people I have met. They really made us feel comfortable in both preparing for and enjoying our stay. Thank you, again, my friends!

Just returned from a wonderful week at this Villa! Visited many islands and this was the best. Beautiful beaches, great shopping and restaurants. Villa is very private and has an amazing view of Marigot Bay, which is accessible by walking to end of drive and crossing small road. Snorkeling there was amazing. We could hear the surf from the patio, where we ate breakfast and dinner most days. Owners made it easy and caretaker was very helpful. We will go back again and we will stay in this Villa!

We spent one week at four and we were feeling very confortable. The house is lovely and very well decorated in the middle of a beautiful garden. And the view...We will be back in St Barth and for sure in this house. THANKS
