What a trip! The villa is absolutely beautiful. Detail of property as listed on VRBO is 100% accurate. All communication with owner was easy and so responsive. Cesar at the office of Bahia Pez Vela was fantastic. Definitely use them to book excursions. The restaurant on the property was excellent. The food was fantastic! Also loved Father Rooster. Diamante excursion a must. First drive into the property is a little daunting but after the first time it is easy. Don’t leave anything on the terrace as raccoons are sooo smart. This property and Costa Rica far exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this villa. The place was clean, beds were comfortable and had all you needed for a great time. The beach is beautiful, and having it steps away from the villa was amazing. Working with the ownerJohn and staff at the complex (shout out to Cesar) was great. Cesar was amazing in coordinating the outings we chose. The location feels very remote, and that helps with keeping the beach less crowded. Due to the steep roadways at the complex, walking to nearby attractions or into town is not an option. We were able to use Uber to move around and all the excursions would pick us us at the door of our villa. This is a price to pay to have the feeling that the beach is yours. Overall I would highly recommend this place. Our family loved it and we hope to return to Costa Rica in the future.

We loved the little beach and cove at this place. Lots of fish to see and stingrays. The pool was nice and it was easy to get to.

This property location is so beautiful. The ease of access to the beach and pool couldn’t be easier. The manager coordinated all of our excursions and they were all great experiences. Great snorkeling and beach time right on our beach each day. The only thing I wasn’t prepared for was the area surrounding the resort. It was much more rugged and less developed than I expected. Our family enjoyed the trip and the host was incredibly prompt and helpful in responding to any questions or needs that we had.

The villa is a beautiful, well kept home just off the beach of a very pleasant cove. It is in a secure and semi-private complex around the cove (by law the beach is open to the public, but this was not a major issue) which is extremely well maintained with gracious and friendly staff. Included is an excellent restaurant open all day which overlooks the great swimming pools and the cove.
The villa itself is well laid out; has a generous and totally equipped kitchen, nice dining and living room areas, lots of linens, a washer/dryer, TV's, great A/C, etc.
The host provided excellent information ahead of time. We did have some difficulty finding it in the dark, but no issues after that.
Coco nearby has good groceries, restaurants and shopping.
We stayed 16 days and were sad to leave. Our family enjoyed lots of quiet time together on site as well as scuba diving, snorkeling in the cove, and local activities which can be reserved through the office. We would stay here again and definitely recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 young kids and had an absolutely amazing time. The location is stunning. We loved waking up to the beach just steps outside our door and then walking down to the water and looking at the howler monkeys in the trees. My kids played in the warm ocean and climbed on the rocks at low tide. When we weren't the beach we swam in the pools with the great views. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site for dinner a few nights and the food and service was delicious. The home is equipped with every thing you might need in the kitchen, bathrooms and they even had some beach toys my kids enjoyed. Definitely a special place.

Beautiful house in an amazing location, right on the beach. We were staying as a family with young children ages 2 and 5, and everything was extremely convenient. The beach, pool, restaurant are all a few feet away. Thanks for a memorable vacation!

This was an amazing villa for our girls getaway. Right on the beach, pool about 15 steps away, an excellent restaurant. We had a well equipped kitchen and had most of our meals in our villa. Ceasar and Jacky were excellent helping us to arrange transportation into town and booking our tours. We felt very pampered and have decided to return to this villa next year.

Property was has described perfect location to the ocean and the pools and the restaurant would highly recommend. We did have a problem with ants in the kitchen.

Overall a great spot for my family. The ocean is warm and inviting, the three bedroom villa is perfect for a family (including a blender for pina collodas). The hotel manager is accessible and helpful in making suggestions for outings.
Small niggling things....master bathroom doesn't have hot water in shower (other shower does), and the back bedroom no wifi access. However, these truly are small things.
The hotel restaurant is a bit expensive, however, you get a truly excellent meal - breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Wait times a bit lengthy, but hey, what's the rush?!
The check in was super smooth. Uber is available to get to town if you don't rent a car.

Villa #3 was better than advertised! We were spoiled in our own little bay of paradise for our first trip to Costa Rica! Communication with John and Cesar was friendly, prompt and thorough. The villa's location was just what we wanted for our week of sun and relaxation. We enjoyed having easy access to Soluna, the restaurant/bar on the property, and took a walk to Father Roosters on the beautiful Playa Ocotal one day as well. There are many markets for groceries in both Ocotal and Coco. We did not have a car but Cesar set us up with drivers for a few trips and Uber was easy and very accessible as well. The villa was spotless and well equipped for dining in.The black sand beach so soft. The water delightful. Many beautiful birds and we even had a couple days of howler monkey views! Our only complaint was that we didn't book a longer stay, so we will be back! Thank you!

Our time was simply amazing. Everything a vacation should be. John’s communication was great. Everything was better than we could have imagined. Cesar and Jacky helped with our activities and everything they set up was perfect!! Location couldn’t have been beat! It was so nice to be able to run down to the beach and back to the Villa so quickly. The views were amazing. We can’t wait to come back!!

This was our first visit to Costa Rica and we feel very fortunate to have selected such a great property.
The unit is well stocked and the complex is situated on a great beach. We booked the Heliconias Waterfall Tour and the snorkel sail through Caesar at BPV and we also drove to Ortega and did the river tour with Palo Verde River Tours. All tours were great and if you do the river tour select the lunch option.
Make sure to visit Father Rooster nearby. We also recommend Mar Azul in Coco and Roberto’s in Hermosa.
Overall a great stay, highly recommended!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the stunning beachfront villa. The kitchen is well equipped although we frequently opted for the community restaurant because it delicious and convenient after a long day of adventuring. We used the concierge to book three excursions and found the team to be very helpful. Being picked up from the villa or on the beach off the patio was very nice and allowed us to maximize our time.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip! A beautiful place to stay.

We had 3 wonderful nights with my wife, my brother, and my parents. We enjoyed the very comfortable rooms, living areas, and patio area of this villa. The location cannot be beat. Lush grass and some beautiful trees are the right in front of the patio, leading to a black sand beach and rugged coastline that we explored both left and right. The restaurant was just a short 50 yards walk away and offered us delicious lunch and dinner options each day. Wish we had a few more nights at this location! Will definitely consider a future visit for our next trip to Costa Rica!

My favorite place was sitting on the patio!! Gorgeous view and so peaceful. Working with the host beforehand helped me to feel more confident about our trip. We also worked with Jacky the concierge. Jacky set up private drivers, La Leona waterfall, ATV's, and dinner for us. I felt safe on the property. We would for sure stay here again.

I stayed here with my wife and daughter (8) as well as with Grandma (79) -- experiencing the villa with a large age spectrum! This is our 2nd stay at Bahia Pez Vela and we really appreciate the cleanliness of the villa, the comfort it provides, and the safety we feel at the location. And, as always, it delivered again. The kitchen is well stocked with the tools you need to make meals -- and when we felt lazy, it's only a 20-meter walk to the resort restaurant. My daughter LOVES the beach and the resort pools -- it's super safe and never crowded (we come in August). We like the location and come for the comfort and safety of the villa and always leave refreshed. Thank you, Villa Narciso!

The property we stayed at was beautiful, right on the beach with magnificent views, the 2 story home was just like the pictures displayed beautiful inside and out. The best spot for a family vacation with a rental car you have great access to sites in Costa Rica, will definitely visit this property again 5 Stars!

We have nothing but great things to say about this property and the property management. It was truly lovely and relaxing. Even thought is was “off season” we were well taken care of as guests.

We asked to switch the snorkel tour to sunset and it was so so but go to see whales. The other 2 tours were awesome.
We had chef 4 u cooking class one night - Maria was great. We did mixology for 3 one night at the bar and it was great but we regrettably forgot to ask for recipes.
The property was so comfortable and better than advertised.
We enjoyed the massages from the ladies on the beach who were so sweet.
One of the best vacations we have had.

Steps to the beach, lovely patio, gorgeous kitchen and great amenities like soft sheets, fluffy bath towels and beach towels and an in-unit laundry. Very responsive hosts and staff at the resort. On our first trip to Costa Rica we stayed seven nights at this beautiful property with our three sons, 11, 16, and 18. We had an amazing time! The beach was spectacular and never crowded. The snorkeling right outside our door was as good or better than what we saw on our snorkeling excursion! The pool and common areas were nice and clean, and the staff was outstanding. Food at the restaurant on site, as well as nearby Father Roosters, was great. The unit itself was clean and comfortable and the location couldn’t have been better. Would definitely stay again.

We took our 3 boys (18,21,23) on a family trip to celebrate their University Graduation. It was beautiful and the perfect place for our family! The condo was beautiful and the beach and pool! We loved the drive into town too!

Everything is as advertised- you will have a fantastic time. The property is beautiful and has all the amenities. The pool is awesome, the beach and water are beautiful, and howler monkeys in the trees. The restaurant is fabulous and has superb drinks. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, we can’t wait to go back!

The property was in a great location. The condominium was right on the beach and no more than 100 yards from a three tier pool and restaurant. We ate at the restaurant once for dinner and a couple times for lunch. it was definitely one of the better restaurants we visited. The Condo is comfortable and the rooms are sufficiently large. All appliances and bathrooms, air conditions etc worked well. The kitchen could have been slightly better stocked in terms of cookware but served its purpose. The only thing they missed on check-in was to leave a bit of soap for the clothes and dish washer but i am sure they would have brought it to us if we had asked. The concierge at the complex and gate staff were very helpful and professional. It was a great vacation (snorkeling off the beach and Monkeys in the trees just hanging out on a number of days). I would definitely recommend this place to other potential guests.

The pool and restaurant (outstanding food) were just steps away and the staff there were so friendly and helpful. This was an absolutely perfect place for our family to spend a portion of our CR vacation. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The restaurant was incredible, food & staff were amazing! Close drive to the cute little town of Playa Del Coco. We ended up spending the bulk of our time just relaxing at the property, or eating/shopping in town. If we find ourselves back in this area, we’d most definitely stay again! Thanks for having us!

-We loved Father Roosters in Playa Ocotal too.
-We probably wouldn’t recommend the AquaCombo tour (fishing, snorkeling, cave exploring). Although the tour guides worked hard and we had a fun day, they made very little effort to interact, the snorkeling spot they took us to (seemed to just be where they take all snorkelers) was way too shallow, murky, and poky sea creatures everywhere that scared my daughter out of the water…after she’d been zip lining, and canyoning.

My family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The place was clean and spacious. Three beautiful bathrooms made getting ready in the mornings easy and the beds were super comfortable.
We made breakfast each morning and had all the utensils, pots/pans and plates we needed to prepare (minus cooking spray/oil, so put that on your grocery list).
The best part of the property was the location. Nothing could beat waking up in the morning to a view of the ocean, which we took daily morning swims in by walking only a few feet. I have three children, ages 15, 11 and 9 whom all enjoyed our stay at the Villa. We swam in both pools, explored the rock areas for shells, cartwheeled on the sand and ate delicious food at the beach club.
Each day we visited the office for recommendations on where to eat or which excursions to participate in. The staff couldn’t be any friendlier!
We would indeed visit this property again! 5 stars in our eyes!

My family and I stayed here and had a great time. The Villa was clean and safe. Walking distance from the beach, wonderful views, and quiet sunsets in the evening. The best part was a surprise visit from a humpbacked whale. We watched it from both the back porch, and the rocks in the bay. The restaurant, and beach service, was first class. Highly recommend this place.

Great escape on the beach!
We had an amazing time at Villa Narciso. The villa is located in a private beach community that is a 10-15 minute drive from town (Playa Coco). It was so convenient to access the pool/restaurant and to walk down to the private beach.
All of the staff at Bahia Pez Vela were extremely welcoming and helpful. The food and drinks at the restaurant were great.
There was plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out, and it was great to have a full-size kitchen for when we wanted to make our own meals.

Beautiful stay on beachfront property.
Excellent stay steps from the ocean! We are a family of 5 and enjoyed our stay with the awesome, well equipped home. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and the balcony in the master was great for relaxation. The pool was steps away and the onsite restaurant had great food. We will be back!
