We stayed at grandpa’s cabin for five nights, good location to glacier national park. Quaint and clean cabin. Perfect for the two of us. If staying at the cabin with children or another couple, the second bedroom has three full beds, but would need to walk through the master bedroom to get to anything else in the cabin, such as the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There is a door if you want to walk outside and come in the front door to avoid walking through the master.

Perfect spot, very close to Glacier National Park, maybe a 5 minute drive to the west entrance. Very woodsy and rustic, like a campground, with a beautiful lake with a private dock, perfect for jumping in & swimming. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, etc., and it was great to have a washer & dryer with laundry detergent provided by the host. Ryan, the host, was very responsive, which we really appreciated. There were a ton of gnats/fruit flies inside when we arrived. Ryan did come and help when we reached out to him and that issue improved. The three beds in the one room were perfect for our 3 boys but when we arrived we noticed there were fresh sheets on the bed but not pillowcases (just the decorative ones that match the bedspread). Luckily I found extra pillow cases in the closet and felt better about that. Also the floor mats in the kitchen and bathroom were damp when we arrived, which probably did not help the gnat situation. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location and rustic vibe were great, and the kids LOVED the lake. The fire pit area was nice too but we weren’t able to use it because of fire restrictions. We did sit out at the table and were not bothered by bugs at all, even through dusk. If not for the gnats it would have been absolutely perfect. there is no tv but the internet works well. you need to walk through the main bedroom to get to the other bedroom which has the 3 beds. Could probably use a deeper cleaning (floors, bedspreads). overall great stay!

This was a great property to stay at for a base to GNP. Even if we hadn’t planned spending a majority of time at GNP, this would have been a great place on the lake. Ryan was great to work with. He made sure he kept us informed of fire restrictions and changes with the reservation system at GNP. He really went above and beyond. Thank you!

This cabin is in the absolute perfect location to explore Glacier National Park. The dock on Lake 5 is really amazing! Unfortunately, the week we were there the gnats inside the cabin were terrible. We reached out to the property manager and he did respond by email but did not attempt to help with the issue. We ended up purchasing and putting up fly strips on our own. We caught hundreds of gnats with these. This helped some but in the evenings the gnats would still swarm your face. It really impacted our comfort and happiness with the stay.

The cabin was awesome. Loved the private doc access. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. Overall a perfect stay would highly recommend!

Grandpa’s cabin is unique, quant, quiet, peaceful! Perfect for our family. We really enjoyed our own private dock on Lake Five. The steep incline to the lake was a bit of a challenge for one of my daughter’s, but she learned how to navigate it quick. We had evening dinners, mostly outside by the campfire! The accommodations were adequate, and the beds comfortable. If opportunity allows, we will rent it again! We all had such a good time. A little issue with the shower curtain, as we kept getting the floor wet, so, we lowered the shower curtain, that seemed to take care of it. We tried to keep up with daily vacuum, and did a over haul on the provided vacuum, as it was over full. Having a washer and dryer with the daily swims was perfect! Being close to Glacier National Park is amazing! Daily hikes and evening swims! Thank You Ryan so much for offering this little slice of heaven!

We really enjoyed our cabin stay. Very close to the west entrance to the park and great lake access. Would book it again!

Easy access to park.

Our group absolutely loved Grandpa’s Cabin. We felt at home and had everything we needed for our stay. We especially appreciate the fire pit and grill that we used for our stay. We hope to be back very soon!

This little cabin is perfect for your family getaway, especially if you have teens who are too old or big to share a bed! Super convenient to the park, with board games to keep you occupied if it rains.

We loved Grandpa’s Cabin! Wooded quiet setting but so close to Glacier! Rustic, but cute with all the necessities. My teen girls loved having the big room to themselves! Ryan was a great host!

We spent a week in this cozy cabin and loved it. It’s a great location for exploring Glacier NP, Polebridge, Whitefish, white water rafting etc. The cabin itself is nice and cozy - worked very well for a family of five. Very safe for kids. Lake Five, with private deck just across the road, was great for swimming and relaxing after long days of exploring the area.

Great place to stay. Very rustic but clean. Some miscommunication about what to do with trash due to bears. Need bear proof bins or owner needs to pick up trash daily .

A nice peaceful cabin close to west Glacier. We loved access to the lake; the kids swam and adults relaxed after long days of hiking. It was a great place and would recommend.

This cabin is in a great location for west glacier. Cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed for an enjoyable vacation. The living room/ dinning room is small but we spend most of our time outside. The lake is across a small lightly traveled road and down a steep slope, steps made into the hillside for ease. The private dock was very tranquil and relaxing. The view is incredibly beautiful and breathtaking. We highly recommend this place and we plan on renting when we come back to Glacier. Wonderful! Rustic charm and super comfortable

This property was just what we were looking for. Hicking, fishing, site-seeing and cooking in the evenings with a fire pit to reflect on the day. It was spectacular! For us, we wanted a none commercial location that was still close to Glacier Park entrance.

We liked our time at grandpa's cabin, the only thing I thought was weird was it had a large room with 3 queens size bed, separted by curtains. Couples privacy was very limited. It was brisk in the morning and the heater worked better in the living area then the bedrooms. There was a firepit that was very inviting to use. This cabin would be really appropiate more for a single family. Thanks for the opportunity to stay at grandpa's cabin.

Grandpa’s Cabin is in a great location and has everything you need for a wonderful Glacier Experience. The hosts were super accommodating and helpful too.

This cabin was a great base for a great motorcycle trip. Very close to Glacier NP and various bars/restaurants nearby. The lake and dock were great too. Carport kept the bikes dry!

Good experience

Our family takes a road trip vacation every year to visit a different location in USA. This year we picked Glacier National Park. You can't beat the location of this cabin. It's a few minutes away to West Glacier entrance and close to gas and grocery store as well. This cabin is perfect for a family of 6. It has everything you need except groceries and makes life easier than living out of a hotel room. It was very clean and comfortable. Our kids spent every night of our five night stay swimming in Lake 5 which is also much warmer than the lake's in side park. After long days hiking and exploring the park it was nice to come back to a home. I definitely would recommend this place and hopefully will return in a few years. We all loved the cabin and want to thank our host for allowing us to stay in this amazing little piece of paradise.

It was a beautiful cabin, private, quiet and across the street from gorgeous Lake 5. The cabin was extremely clean, comfortable and had everything one could need to cook and grill. We LOVED the record player! The washer and dryer were an added bonus! We had an wonderful week at Grandpa's Cabin and can't wait to return!
