Promenez-vous parmi les majestueux Garry Oaks et les sapins Douglas anciens sur notre propriété de 5 acres ou détendez-vous dans le bain à remous extérieur privé tout en admirant la vue spectaculaire sur le mont. Constitution et Mt. Boulanger. Profitez des fleurs sauvages des prairies au printemps, en tournant les feuilles à l'automne, ou prélassez-vous sur le pont dans le climat chaud d'été des San Juans. L'observation des baleines par le phare de Lime Kiln ou de longues promenades sur South Beach sont à quelques minutes en voiture. This was a great place, nice property, close to Friday harbor but far enough away to make you feel like you are a little off the grid. Hot tub was super relaxing! Would be fun to go with a bigger group and rent the whole property!

My husband, our dog, and I enjoyed a long holiday weekend at the Rhubarb Cottage and loved every second: it’s the perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Friday Harbor. Every morning, my dog and I walked around the property and neighborhood. We loved spending a long afternoon in the hot tub. The cottage is pretty spacious for a little studio, with a large bathroom and separate kitchen area. Having a washer/dryer and dishwasher is also a nice perk for a small space! We loved our time in the Rhubarb Cottage and can’t wait to return.

So quiet and so picturesque! The Rhubarb studio was a perfect spot to stay while exploring San Juan Island. Everything you could possibly need was right there and anything else you could want was just a short drive away. This spot worked wonderfully for us

The cottage and property are better than advertised! The location is within a few minutes of downtown and you’ll wish the drive was longer - the landscape is total eye candy! The cottage is comfy and well appointed and very clean! The property manager was welcoming - he even turned on the lights for us when he realized we were arriving after dark and filled a bowl of water for our pup!! We can’t wait to come back!!

Cute cottage, beautiful grounds. We knew there was a kitchenette and we brought food- be prepared to improvise. There's no spatula, some basic cooking tools, coffee. We were able to make it work with some creativity. The cottage is right next door to the house, but there is privacy to the hot tub side of the yard if you want to stroll the grounds and get outside. Gorgeous trees, we had a wonderful afternoon photographing them and enjoying the beautiful day! :)

This property was perfect for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. Ten minutes from Downtown Friday Harbor it was close enough to great shopping and restaurants while still feeling like a private country cabin. We explored all over the island during our two night stay. Lime Kiln Cafe on Roche Harbor has the best eggs Benedict!

This was the perfect spot on San Juan island. We enjoyed that it was a little tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Friday Harbor but still so close to everything. Would definitely stay here again!

The girlfriend and I had such a good time getting away to quiet San Juan Island. Blythe’s property had two listings and this review is for the cottage studio. The location was well off the main road to make it a quiet weekend retreat.
The studio itself had a comfortable bed plus an outdoor jacuzzi. There was nothing better than getting a good night’s rest, waking up and taking a stroll around the massive shared yard, and then hopping into the jacuzzi to start one’s day.
Overall we had a wonderful time and would love to come back. Also, shoutout to our neighbors in the other VRBO who apparently have been coming back several times a year. They returned one afternoon and gave us a freshly caught and cooked Dungeness crab!

The land was much bigger than I thought it would be. Property manager was so quick to respond to my message when both booking & when I checked in and had a question. The hot tub was such a great added bonus!

LOVE THIS PLACE! The hot tub was so nice to come home to after exploring around the island! We loved how quiet and peaceful it was, seeing all those stars was an added bonus! Tucked away from the downtown area, but still close and easy to get to. Highly recommend!

There was a glitch with property manager phone number in the on site information sheets, so we weren’t able to contact her about a couple of things until halfway through our stay when we tried another number. The Wi-Fi needed resetting, so we were without Wi-Fi most of our stay. She was apologetic and immediately came over to reset. The setting is amazing, and is quiet and close to southern and western parts of the island nature things. If you love nature, a wonderful place to stay.

Loved our stay here! Minimalist studio with a great amount of space for us and our 2 large dogs. We loved being able to explore the five acres and our dogs loved running around. Hot tub was much needed too! We will be back!

The pictures don't do this little get-away justice! Clean, cozy, well-stocked home with beautiful grounds to walk around. Very grateful that they let us check in early so we could make our Thanksgiving Day meal. Great communicating and a wonderful stay. Hope to make it back!

We really enjoyed our little off-season visit. This place was great for the late Autumn days as the hot tub was so nice and it was great being able to stroll around the lovely property. Perfectly located close to Friday. Harbor Lime Kiln and the national park. Decently stock kitchen. We were able to cook what we wanted without any problems. Hope to come back someday

We loved our stay at the studio. It was quiet and peaceful. The other house on the property is right next to this one so it was a little confusing as to who’s car went where. Neither of us knew we’d have neighbors but once that was established everything went smoothly.
There was all the very basic kitchen dishes, but be sure to bring your own tea/coffee/creamer/sweetener.
The hot tub was DIVINE. We were lucky to be there on a clear autumn weekend and got to lie in the hot tub and watch the Milky Way

The cottage is immaculate, with great attention to detail. We were super happy to have access to laundry. Kitchen well equipped. We did enjoy the Jacuzzi outside, an excellent way to relax after a long hike. Highly recommend this little jewel if you are looking for peace and yet close to everything.

We brought our 2 pups and this property was perfect for letting them roam free. The people in the main house were friendly as well. We’ll look to stay here again the next time we’re on the island.

This was an excellent location for my new wife and I to spend our honeymoon. The location was beautiful and provided plenty of room for us to walk around and enjoy the nature of San Juan Island. All of the amenities were great and we had no technical issues whatsoever. We did need to contact the owner to find a way to turn off one light between the main house and this location and she answered right away and was incredibly courteous. Overall a great location to experience the Island from.

We stayed at the studio cottage for five nights and loved it!! Perfect size, super clean and cute and the hot tub was a great bonus (stargazing from it at night was really fun!). The grounds really are amazing with the old twisty Garry Oaks. A group of four people with three dogs were staying in the main house but we hardly heard a peep out of them. Very relaxing and enjoyable island stay!

Enjoyed our stay. Cottage was very comfortable. Usually I don't sleep well away from home but this place is so quiet and peaceful I slept like a baby! Loved the hottub at sunrise!

Lovely retreat
Such a peaceful spot. We stayed a while and had 2 great neighbors in the bigger house next door. Cozy cottage, lovely meadow, great hot tub. (The only drawback would be if you wanted complete privacy b/c of the shared grounds.) We definitely hope to be back!

Pleasant Surprise
When we first arrived at the property we were a little bit confused, because the cabin we were staying in appeared to be the tool shed and the photos gave us the impression the main house was further away. However, once we found the front door to the cabin, it turned out to be a very welcoming homey experience. The owner shared the history of the property in literature that was within the cabin. The grounds were immaculate and all communication with the owner prior to arrival was answered promptly and with an appreciated friendliness. What a spectacular time we had and felt like we were staying with family. Highly recommend.
