This beautiful home is exactly what we were looking for. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor it allowed us to enjoy the area and then come home and relax. The view of the bay is impressive. We have stayed here a number of times and we are never disappointed. The whole family can kayak or canoe, the kids are so excited when harbor seals pop their heads out of the water, eagles flew by or landed in the trees almost every day, it is close to Acadia National Park and BarHarbor. A wonderful experience and many memories made here.

The cabin is wonderful and the view is beautiful. Tina, you are a generous and gracious host. Such a perfect place to stay and make memories with our kids.

This was our first trip to Maine. The location of the property was great. Close to Acadia but private. We loved the cabin and land. We saw bald eagles in the trees on the property. The owner of the property is prompt to answering messages and kept in touch with us to make sure are stay was great. She had s’mores supplies in the fridge for us to enjoy. We plan on goi g back to Maine again and we will definitely stay here.

This property is wonderful. It has everything you need plus the surroundings just make it exponentially better! You can watch the seals from the deck swimming around. Enjoy the outdoor fireplace every night. My family and I have zero complaints. The pictures on VRBO do not do it justice. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. I hope we are able to come back again!

We had such a wonderful time at this property! The view is absolutely stunning and the sunsets are breathtaking. The home is very clean, bright and charmingly decorated. We had EVERYTHING we needed to enjoy a full week to be able to cook our own meals and have coffee on the deck. Tina was quick to respond to any inquiries, made our check-in/check-out process very easy and was readily available for any questions, but left us to enjoy her home without being overly nosey. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and hope to again for many years to come.

The wife and I stayed here for a week while we explored Acadia and surrounding areas. Cottage was clean, beautiful and location is quiet but close to grocery’s.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Although there is no AC or internet, we had no problem using our phones to make reservations to different places in Acadia. We spent most of our days out but got to enjoy a couple beautiful sunsets off the deck and the fire place is beautiful burning in the evenings. We absolutly love it here and would love to come back in the future.

We loved our stay here, with the restful bay views and sunsets. The owner was really helpful and communicative. Our kids loved playing down near the water and on the grassy areas by the house.

This place is very private and secluded, perfect place for a nice relaxing getaway. It has gorgeous views of the bay. Tina was very easy to communicate with and she provided some little extras, which was greatly appreciated! Would love to see this place in the fall!

None of us wanted to leave. This was a peaceful, quiet, and private location. We loved going kayaking, walks and just enjoying the wildlife. Visits to Acadia National park and Bar Harbor and it's offerings made for a great time for all. Tina provides all the necessities for a great vacation.

So beautiful! We very much enjoyed cooking up our lobster on the outdoor patio while overlooking the bay. The kayaks were used daily, and we loved watching the seals, osprey, bald eagles. The house was clean and so well stocked with all of the essentials. What a special place!!

The Castle on the Bay was a beautiful oasis. Nestled in a lush forest, it is a destination itself. Sit back and enjoy the view and the wildlife. Outdoor kitchen and kayaks are added treats. Convenient to Bar Harbor, Acadia and many other sites.

Our stay at “Castle on the Bay” was beautiful. The house was very well maintained and had everything we needed to make our time there very relaxing. It was so nice to come home every day to the quietness of the area after sightseeing and shopping in Acadia and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed looking for seals each day, watching the eagles fly around, kayaking, making s’mores and finishing our week off with a lobster bake outside on the beautiful stone fireplace. It truly was a wonderful vacation with great memories made!

This property is beyond wonderful!!! Words can’t describe the peace and loveliness of this cottage. The setting is perfect! I didn’t realize how much my family of 4 needed this getaway. Great location because you have so much land and water, but yet it’s not too far from Bar Harbor, Bangor, Acadia, etc. it was about a 25 hour drive for us to get to Maine and it was 100% worth it! Thank you Tina for providing such an amazing place for others to enjoy!

This property centrally located for everything we wanted to see. The cottage was fully stocked with all the little extras. It was everything we expected and more. Tina checked to see if we were having a good time or if we needed anything. She made the whole check in and check out easy. We have stayed in share times, but never a VRBO. We really enjoyed our week in this wonderful home. Spending time on the deck enjoying the beautiful view was so relaxing. Loved watching the seals. Enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and kitchen area. The house had everything we needed.

Peace, privacy and relaxation marked our days on beautiful Taunton Bay. Stepping out onto the deck for coffee or a delicious local beer we were frequently treated to the sight of bald eagles and blue herons flying by. Seals popped up their cute faces to stare when we kayaked at high tide, and we could see them lounging on rocks at low tide. The house is well set up for cooking and lounging. The outdoor fireplace is a great spot for s’mores. Highly recommend for nature lovers who enjoy being near the famous sights in Acadia but like the quiet of being off the beaten path. And did I mention the gorgeous sunsets?

This beautiful hardwood home is exactly that, you feel like you are home but in paradise. After 18 months working in an Urban hospital during the pandemic I had no idea how badly I needed this. Pictures cannot begin to do justice to this location. Worth every dollar. Kayaking in a peaceful sunset every evening. Thank you & we WILL be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, cozy cottage. If you are looking for peaceful vacation, this is the place. The best feature of the cottage is the expansive view of the quiet inlet. Nearly everyday we saw seals, bald eagles, and loons in/near the water. We enjoyed cooking in the outdoor kitchen and there was lots of outdoor seating to just sit and relax. Acadia and Bar Harbor were about an hour away but we loved being outside the "hustle and bustle" of Bar Harbor.

This is the perfect remote location is you seek peace and quiet. We had a lot of plans and we gladly let some of them fall to the wayside so we could just enjoy the property. Eagles, seals, shooting stars, kayak trips and the kids even had fun riding their bikes in the (very long) driveway.

We were extremely happy with our rental. The cottage was very clean, well-maintained and cozy. We felt comfortable right away and appreciated the amenities and spacious feel. We all enjoyed the canoe and kayaks as well as the outdoor patio space. Thank you for ease of communication and for sharing your cottage. It was the perfect place for our vacation. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful stay here! The property is nestled far from the main road and offers quiet, waterfront relaxation. Although the water access isn’t ideal for swimming, kayaking is easily accessible (multiple kayaks and canoe are provided). Seals and Bald Eagles were seen most days! The sunsets are amazing right here if one doesn’t get to the top of Cadillac mountain to see one. (Although, those are amazing too,) This post and beam paradise offers all the amenities to relax. Fully stocked kitchen from cooking utensils to basic seasonings as well as an outdoor cooking space for traditional seafood lobster boil:). The kitchen alone features a great spot to meal prep and converse while doing so. Laundry is also available here which was a plus. The star of this rental truly is your host, Tina. She checked in periodically to be sure we had everything needed. She also started us off with s’mores building supply which was great after a long day in the car. Acadia Park is some distance but closer hiking and biking are nearby. Our favorite hike was Schoodic point which proved to be less crowded then Acadia trails within the park. The lake swim at the end of this hike was perfect. If you want to relax ? Read a book on the deck overlooking the water? Cook amazing meals outside on the granite fireplace? This is your gem! It will not disappoint.

Tina was very prompt in all communications. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for the week. It is in a very peaceful setting, yet easily accessible to Acadia. Loved kayaking with the seals! Would definitely rent again if returning to the area!

This property has a private location that offers amazing sunsets right from the porch. We loved taking out the kayaks steps from the door. The outdoor fireplace with lobster cooking area was perfect in the evenings. The host was very responsive with any questions we had. Hope to return again in the future
