The Bonaire Cottage~ Private Dock!!! ~ Rustic Fun Waterfront Cottage!!!
Détendez-vous et profitez de cette grande maison de 2 chambres et 1 salle de bain au bord de l'eau dans la ville historique de Cedar Key, en Floride. La maison a une grande cour ombragée avec quai privé. La maison Bonaire a les planchers de bois franc d'origine et les murs en pin noueux non peints indigènes qui ajoutent de la chaleur à cette maison originale unique en Floride. La chambre principale a un lit Queen et la deuxième chambre a 2 lits jumeaux. Certains des plats originaux des propriétaires, la décoration et les œuvres d'art sont toujours affichés, ajoutant beaucoup de charme à cette «Florida Cracker House»
Observez la faune abondante et les magnifiques levers de soleil depuis le porche arrière ou depuis le ponton du quai. Il y a de belles grues qui se perchent sur le quai presque tous les jours. Profitez d'une tasse de café ou prenez votre petit déjeuner sur le porche arrière qui a une grande balançoire et des sièges en plein air et donne sur le bayou oriental du golfe. À marée basse, voyez le projet de loi Pink Spoon Bill fouiner les vairons qui ont été laissés derrière.
Asseyez-vous sur le quai, attrapez des crabes ou pêchez sur le quai privé. Faites griller vos prises du jour et faites un pique-nique ou peut-être juste un rôti de saucisses à l'ancienne dans la grande cour arrière ombragée. Peut-être avoir un jeu de fers à cheval! The cottage was equipped with every thing you could possible need. Beds have very comfortable mattress. If you like rustic old Florida flair this place is it. The dock is an added plus . Thanks for the memories.

If you are looking for a comfortable old Florida cottage on the water, this is perfect! It’s hard to find this kind of nostalgia. We loved the pine paneling and big back porch. The furniture was very comfortable. We watched nesting osprey and saw spoonbills, pelicans, herons and ibis.
It was so peaceful and de-stressing. We will be back!

We had the best time staying at the Bonaire Cottage! Beautiful views and charming accommodations were even better than we expected. The host was so helpful and great with communication. Thank you Rosemary! We truly loved everything from the sunrise with coffee to the abundance of wildlife right out back - flamingos and dolphins CHECK! Had my first bowl of Tony's Clam Chowder in 10 years and it is still the best :) It was a wonderful trip and we so appreciated the well-stocked Cottage and proximity to downtown. Cedar Key was all we hoped for and more - we will definitely be back!

Bonaire Cottage was perfect for us. Low key, comfortable, close enough to the business district but away from the busy-ness. Lots of birds/fish to watch from the deck and dock. While the week started chilly (certainly not our host's fault!), things warmed up nicely by the end of the week.

The accommodations were great! All the furniture, beds, recliner, sofa's were all very comfortable.
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you'll need and then some. The bathroom was also well stocked.

We had the greatest time at this cute charming old Florida cottage. The ospreys were the highlight of our stay. We watched the babies grow up. The house was very cozy. The beds were very comfortable & the back porch was the best! Highly recommend anybody who wants to stay here looking for a little old Florida charm. You can’t go wrong with this Florida cottage.

Absolutely lovely property and the host was warm, communicative, and accommodating. I wanted to show my partner from the Northeast some of 'Old Florida' and was seeking that in our place to stay. With the gorgeous, shaded backyard and marsh view, this was exactly it. People not from the area may not realize that the osprey nests in the water aren't just provided, but the owner has to pay to have one built. There was an osprey nest right off the dock and we spent evenings watching the mama osprey take care of her babies and it was the perfect touch. You can really tell Rosemary has her guests' experiences in mind in how she has arranged this home. If you are looking for modern, sleek, bustling accommodations, then this house (and frankly, Cedar Key), isn't the right match for you. If you are looking to spend peaceful time in nature and take it slow, in a comfortable and cozy home with stunning wildlife, then this is for you. Thank you so much, Rosemary! We really enjoyed our stay at Bonaire Cottage. The property was clean and very well stocked. The beds were also very comfortable. The location was perfect for a quick ride or stroll into town, or for a drive to one of the many walking trails or kayak spots. You are right on the bayou. We saw many types of birds, and enjoyed watching the nesting osprey right in front of the house. Do bring bug spray! The people of Cedar Key are extremely friendly and welcoming. We loved the small quiet feel of the town and enjoyed some excellent seafood. We will return.

I did a lot of research before choosing this property and it sounded like it was exactly what I was looking for. Turned out to be even better than I thought. Cozy and comfortable. Well supplied kitchen. Comfy beds. Convenient to town. Best part for us though was sitting in the sun on the dock watching the tides and the birds, including the ospreys nesting on the platform in front of the dock. Just amazing. We had a hard time leaving this place behind. Hope to be back one day and will recommend it to all who ask!

We had the perfect weekend at Bonaire Cottage ! We rented a golfcart and kept over at the Marathon gas station (because you cannot drive golfcarts on Rt 24) Lovely mornings on the porch watching egrets nesting! Night time campfires and spectacular stargazing. We will be back !!!

We loved the little house. It was so cozy and homey. We roasted oysters on the grill bought from the local fish market and loved sitting by the fire. Just a short-short drive to the waterfront. We even fished off the dock. Communication with the owner was the best we have ever had when renting a VRBO. Will definitely stay here again.

I loved this cottage ! It is SO Cedar Key! The backyard and porch is heaven on earth. I could barely wait to wake up, grab my coffee and head to the porch swing every morning. The salt marsh is gorgeous and so many birds visited me. I had a campfire at night. The inside of the cottage was immaculate, cozy and I felt right at home. Bed was very comfy. I loved it here so much I made a reservation to return in a few weeks!

Was a last minute booking for a three night stay to visit our brother who lives in the area. The cottage had everything we needed for a nice, short vacation. It was nice having the marina across the street to get bait for fishing and a boat rental for the day. Love the quaint town of Cedar Key! Enjoyed playing with the porpoises from the boat we rented and exploring one of the keys.

Great little place to stay right on the water of Cedar Key. Lots of wildlife to enjoy right from the back porch. Osprey eating their catch right on the private dock out back. Backyard firepit came in handy for the cold Christmas weather. And going through the reservation process with Rosemary is guaranteed to get your trip started off on the right foot. Very pleasant and awesome to deal with. Property is right across from a marina for bait/supplies or very short drive into downtown. I would most definitely stay here again. The home was clean and prepared for guests with plenty of towels, wash cloths and other supplies; it was well stocked. There was coffee and creamer, briquets for the grill and charcoal lighter. The bed was comfortable, I will assume that my daughter's room was comfortable too as she slept to 1000 or so.
Rosemary Cooke was pleasant as always and communicated well. There were no issues during our stay and check-in and out was easy. Emptied the trash from inside the kitchen, piled the towels in the bathroom and stripped the sheets off the bed. Washed the dishes in the sink and cleaned out the fridge. Easy!
We have stayed here before and will stay here again. The house has a dock, but the water level is low, so when you are fishing you usually catch the bottom dwellers, i.e. catfish and crabs! It's fun though and you can rent fishing tackle from the Marina across the street.

Perfect in every way! The cottage is comfortable and cozy and loaded with old Florida charm. We felt right at home the minute we walked in. Beds are very comfortable and most every item you need is there. View and wildlife fabulous and location is great. We had so much fun, never even turned on the T.V. Spent majority of our time on the back porch. Rosemary, the owner made us feel right at home. Not much traffic or tourist in Cedar Key which is just exactly what we wanted. Looking for a relaxing vacay this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend renting this cute cottage!! We will be back next year for sure. Thank you Rosemary, we had the best time!
