Our family loved staying at The Prince of Tides. Plenty of room for thirteen people. Beautifully decorated, a well stocked kitchen, great pool, lots of outdoor space and easy access to the beach. Even with a few rainy days we enjoyed family time with puzzles and games there for our use. Had good TV reception. Definitely our choice for a stay of St. George Island.

We had a blast. The host really cares for her place and treats guests like family. Nice pool and walking distance to the beach.

It’s a beautiful house. Well equipped. Plenty of room for the 12 of us. Nice gated community. Loved the screened porches and the pool as well.

We had the best time at Prince of Tides this week. Close to the beach, and equipped with everything we needed. Fishing at Bob Sikes Cut was just the icing on the cake. Loved that everyone had their own bathroom, and we could all dine together. The pool was a wonderful addition to our stay. We’d love to return again in the future!

My family and I had another wonderful week at Prince of Tides. The house, pool, and amenities were just as great as we remembered from the year before while visiting SGI. We will definitely be hoping to stay here many times in the future.

The beach was a short walk and family friendly. The home owner was wonderful and took care of all our needs. We hope to stay there again!

Beautiful home. Comfortable, nicely decorated, everything one needs in the kitchen, plenty of private space, plenty of communal space, wonderful pool. And the most comfortable beds!!! Bring your bathing suit, beach towels, toothbrush and stop by the Piggly Wiggly Express for a surprisingly large selection of foods. Three generations of women enjoyed a week of mostly sunshine, a bit of rain, a dolphin rescue, morning coffee on the screened in porch and evening cocktails by the pool! A friendly, responsive and gracious owner created a stress free break from daily life! I miss Prince of Tides!

What a beautiful place to stay. It was just a short distance to the beach. We will be back!!!

This place has been amazing. My husband lost his brother in an accident that occurred on his job. He has 4 daughters and a beautiful granddaughter, we haven’t spent any time with them since the accident. This majestic place offered us what we needed as a family! It rained a couple days, and the girls enjoyed swimming in the pool during the rain. The house was fully stocked, and my husband enjoyed cooking in that beautiful kitchen. This house is a must rent property, I promise you will love it as we did. Thanks again Betsy, what a gracious host. We will return soon, The Smith’s

This property is one of the best places we've stayed with our extended family. The short walk to the beach is truly a short walk. The kitchen is supplied well. One can cook for 20 or for one, that picky eater.... The open plan allowed us to be together, and there are also private places when one has had enough. The elevator made unloading the car a cinch. The pool is perfect, too. Everything is apportioned for convenience, community and privacy. I would rename it Prince of Best Beach Houses. Also, the owner is easy to communicate with and reasonable. All in all, schedules permitting, we hope to rent POT again. We love St. George Island and Prince of Tides.

We had a wonderful time at Prince of Tides. This was my family's first time to SGI, and we all agreed that we absolutely could not have picked a better place to stay! One block from the beach; a big beautiful pool with lots of seating, and a covered area with a fan if you don't need anymore sun, but want to be included with the swimmers; plenty of room with 5 bedrooms, each with its own bath and TV; a bath by the pool; two screened porches; nicely furnished; it even has a child size table for playing or eating on the screened porch, and a little picnic table by the pool! Also, there is a charcoal grill if you want to eat in, instead of visiting the restaurants in the nearby town area. The elevator was a godsend since we have a granddaughter with Cerebral Palsy, and she would have had trouble maneuvering the stairs.The owner even called us to be sure everything was alright! The home is located in the Plantation section, which is gated, so we felt totally comfortable allowing our 11 year old twins to ride their bicycles by themselves on the paths that run right by the house. One afternoon we drove the 15 minutes, over two bridges with spectacular views, into Apalachicola and visited the quaint shops and had dinner. Other than that, we pretty much stayed on the island. We ate at the Blue Parrot, got ice cream, and picked up a few t-shirts and other items in the stores near the lighthouse. The kitchen at Prince of Tides has everything imaginable, so cooking meals is a pleasure, too! In one word I would describe our experience as "wonderful"! We will definitely be looking to stay here again! Thank you so much, Betsy Prince !!!!

Decorated beautifully, the home had a fully equipped kitchen. The pool and grounds were beautiful and beds slept wonderful!

We loved everything about this beautiful house and property. The two living rooms and many balconies were great for socializing and also allowed for quiet spaces for those who just wanted to hang out on their own. We enjoyed cooking in the huge kitchen as there was plenty of fresh, local seafood available on the island. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and laid out and we appreciated that each had its own bathroom. The private elevator was much used! We enjoyed being only a short walk from a lovely secluded beach where we saw stingrays, dolphins, crabs, pelicans and many other shore birds. It was also nice to have a pool for relaxing swims. Betsy was very responsive when we had questions

Pool is perfect, beds were comfortable and best stocked kitchen for cooking ever!! Loved that each bedroom had its own bath! We hit a few rainy days and there were game and puzzle galore! Loved the screened in porches on every level! Short walk to the beach and we just left our chairs under the boardwalk the whole week!! Betsy is such a sweet owner! We hope to be back!!

This home is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful and quiet. The details she put into this house was amazing and equipped with just about anything and everything that you need or want. The elevator was so helpful with getting luggage and groceries to the top floor. We used the charcoal grill for several meals when we stayed in. My kids loved the pool and having the covered area with a fan for the baby was really nice as well as having a bathroom in the covered area was helpful especially with kids. Every time we went to the beach we basically had the beach to ourselves. Miss Betsy was such a sweet lady and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend this home to others. Our family had a wonderful vacation here.

Our extended family stayed at the Prince of Tides this summer. We'll never stay anywhere else! This is truly the best family beach house we've ever enjoyed, and that's after years of vacationing at multiple beaches, including Destin, Panama City, Amelia Island, St. Augustine, Fernandina, Pawley's Island, St. Simon's, Sea Island, and Cumberland Island. The house is stunningly beautiful and child-friendly at the same time. The elevator makes travel to each of the floors with groceries, kids, elderly parents, etc. so convenient. The kitchen has top-grade appliances with two sinks and plenty of room. It was fun to prepare meals together! Each of the bedrooms is so inviting that we had a hard time committing to just one! Each bedroom has a nice bathroom as well as a lovely view of the ocean, pool, or lovely island trees. The decor and layout of the house reveals the thoughtful intention and creative design of the owners. They literally have provided everything guests could possibly need, both inside and outside of the house. The large screen smart TV's were terrific for movies on a rainy day. The two screen porches overlooking the pool were a favorite spot for morning coffee. The lounge chairs by the pool provided a perfect place to let the kids swim, listen to music, and enjoy happy hour drinks. The landscaping outside the house is just lovely, and we appreciated the short walk to the beach. This beach house provided our best family vacation ever! We're so grateful for these kinds of memories..

We reserved this house for a family vacation over the summer, including several married couples and children. The layout is IDEAL - it is better than our own home. Every bedroom is like a master suite with its own bathroom (why aren't all houses designed this way??). 3 of the bedrooms have doors out onto comfortably screened porches for relaxing and enjoying the sounds of the beach (without the bugs!) The pool was wonderful! My children loved playing in the ocean but are too small to swim without puddle jumpers, so we often hung at the pool giving them a little more freedom to swim and play without an adult holding onto them. And with the pool on site - lunches and snacks were easy to grab without the hassle of trying to lug everything to the plantation pool. The house is nicely decorated with unique pieces and obvious care given to the property (not rooms bought by the box with generic ocean theme). Even though it is a huge house that accommodates large families such as my own, there are 4 porches in addition to the pool deck, 2 living rooms, and of course the 5 bedrooms giving plenty of hideaways from the crowd when anyone needs some peace and quiet (which is awesome when you are trying to lull a baby). We also enjoyed having some beers and grilling dinner downstairs; the owners thought of everything with chairs set up for nice evening hangouts outside. The elevator is a MUST - so much help getting bags and groceries upstairs. This house would be easy access for anyone with a handicap. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a retreat for a family vacation!!

I found that this rental exceeded my expectations. It was like staying in a very comfortable, very lovely home. We had everything that we needed.There was a large group of us and we had plenty of space to spread out and to have some privacy. I would highly recommend it and plan to go back again!

We could not have asked for a better experience! Prince of Tides is everything and more one would expect a beach house to be right down to the smallest detail. I have visited several times over the years. The photos are beautiful but they don't do the home justice with it's quaint feel and welcoming ambiance. It never gets old and it is always clean and new feeling. It is by far one of the coziest places I have ever stayed with everything one could possibly need. We fill up every bedroom and yet we feel like we each have complete privacy. The beach is only a short walk or bike ride away through a beautiful neighborhood. Can't wait to go back!

I can highly recommend Prince of Tides as a place to enjoy good times with family and friends and surround yourself in a beautiful home. This residence is very roomy and comfortable if you want to gather around the large dinning table and enjoy fresh seafood, relax in the pool, or go out on the deck and read or enjoy the view. The beach is just a short walk and what a fantastic beach it is. It was so relaxing to get away and have such a change of scenery! We most certainly will return!
