We loved the view and the sounds of the ocean! The ocean and beach are beautiful. We were able to see sea turtles swimming and, on the beach, such a bonus! There is plenty of water and beach gear to use while at the property. The kitchen is small but very well stocked. No air conditioning but plenty of fans provided to be able to stay comfortable while inside. We had an issue with the wifi but once reported it was taken care of quickly. Thank you for sharing this wonderful property with us.

This beachfront condo was perfect! The beach is a 10 foot walk from the unit. The lanai was very comfortable throughout the day with the sea breeze (September). The snorkeling is great - many interesting corals, some fish, and even a sea turtle. It’s not the best snorkeling on the island, but it’s very convenient. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials and cooking utensils. There are many beach accessories available including 2 beach chairs. We enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend.

The Cottage was absolutely the perfect place to stay. It had everything one could need for a beach escape. The snorkeling was a highlight. We saw sea turtles which was magical. Look no further, this is where you want to stay!

The location and property was great.

Great stay for the price! The rental has every amenity you could possibly need. Beach gear, hats, games, toiletries, etc. The beach is very relaxing and the pool was refreshing. The contruction wasnt noticable, the parking space is convenient, and the location is perfect for exploring the island. Mahalo!

Everything was perfect. Clean, quiet, well equipped. Amazing to escape the hustle and bustle and busy beaches elsewhere on the island. The reef and sea turtles just made it extra special!

Such a great stay! Our host, George was very professional and quick to respond to anything we needed. Check in was simple and worked on our time. The property has a gorgeous ocean view and yard. Despite the big condo building next door, the beach was never crowded and was a great place to hangout and escape the crowd. So many great food places and necessities were very close and allowed for a comfortable stay. I will say, I was worried about the no AC when we booked, but it was actually quite comfortable and very manageable!! This is a great property located in such a great part of town. Go for it!!

This place was just what we were looking for after spending the first half of our trip on the south side of the island. Communication with the property owners was prompt and easy. The beach is steps from your door and offers great snorkeling with plenty of fish and turtles. It’s in a great location with is access to plenty of great local food and businesses. Would definitely stay here again!

This is the third time me any my family have stayed at Pats at Punaluu. We have stayed in the building units before, and this cottage was definitely better! It was spacious and the high ceilings made it feel even bigger. And the ocean view!!! So beautiful to see the sunrise every morning and the waves throughout the day. We had a wonderful time!

This place not only has everything you need it has everything you would want. Only steps away from the beach. The owner answers all your questions in a timely manner making check in seamless. We are leaving today for a cruise and we both wish we had not book the cruise and spent our whole vacation here instead.

Wow! What a great location! Superb beach for snorkeling, beautiful views, the sunrises were spectacular and great people all around. The amenities were more than expected! Although we had stopped to purchase several staples, we found them already there! Not sure if previous visitors left them, but we had dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, salt and pepper, ketchup, mayo, mustard and even sugar! Plenty of bathing towels AND beach towels! Absolutely gracious and appreciated. The decor is so charming and the atmosphere was refreshing and very relaxing. Really hate to leave.

This is literally the first negative review I have ever posted in my life. Typically if I am not satisfied with an experience, I just don’t leave a review. I am making an exception in this case because this host scammed me out of $185 (which I am currently disputing). The beach and setting are nice. The building is old and dilapidated. Unpleasant odors in the unit and around the building. Door locks/scanner for fitness room were broken. Smoke or air detector in unit was constantly beeping for no apparent reason. There is construction in process, so it’s loud, and reserved parking spot is regularly used by others. Regular work truck traffic also blocks entry and parking. Shower has very weak water pressure and takes a long time to heat up. Pool is tiny. No hot tub. I would have ignored all of this however, if the host hadn’t stuck me with a completely BOGUS “cushion damage/laundering” fee of $185 after my stay. I made multiple attempts to communicate with him regarding the erroneous charge, to try and get some clarity on the matter, but was completely ignored. There is absolutely no way we caused any damage to his cushions! We barely used them and everything looked just the way we found it when we left. The host lives on the mainland. I know this because I mailed his parking pass back to him. So, he is either dishonest OR he got bad info from his property manager. The fact that he wouldn’t communicate regarding the matter is unacceptable to me. I definitely won’t stay here again and would tell others to AVOID THIS HOST!

We enjoyed hearing the sound of the waves all day and waking up with the beautiful sunrises. The location was very convenient.

If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to connect with the aloha spirit this is the place to stay. This property offered everything you would need and the fact you can hear the ocean as you lay in bed is what I loved about this place. Everyone was awsome, the local stores along the way was great and you are not far from any destination you want to see. Mahalo nui loa for allowing us to use your home and we hope to come back next year.

The cottage has such a homely feel, loved the decor, the furnishings were so comfortable! The view is amazing!! The beach is beautiful.

The condo is right on the beach! We overall enjoyed staying here but it would be beneficial to add a ac unit. At times it got really toasty in the room. The condo has a small kitchen but I would not recommend bringing food. We brought left over dinner back to our room and placed in fridge. The next morning sugar ants were everywhere! They got into the refrigerator and all over everything. We also had a cockroach on the kitchen sink. It’s overall not a terrible place. Just needs a little updating and pest prevention.

Cannot recommend staying here enough! You are literally right on the beach - waking up to the sounds of waves and the gorgeous sunrise was amazing. George was also incredible to work with - very responsive and super informative.

This little cottage is a great place to stay, relax and get away from the city. Just steps from the beach with 180 degree views of the ocean. You can see the turtles bobbing in and out of the water each day. You can snorkel and see lots of fish around the coral as well. Water sports equipment are there to use as well as beach chairs, cooler bag, umbrella and beach towels to use. Mini kitchen, fridge and supplies were available to use which was great. Beds were comfortable. This place is close to Kualoa Ranch ( filming of Jurassic Park and others), Kahuku area where there are food trucks( especially shrimp), and of course, North Shore. Plenty to see and see and do...or not! Highly recommend and would love to return in the near future!

Close to water. Grassy area / beach make location relaxing. Large windows / high ceiling make it feel larger than is. Very well equipped with beach / swim equipment and extra towels/bathroom/cleaning items. Adequate appliances, dishes, utensils & pots. WIFI works well. Full of stuff ornamental & functional. Apartment barely adequately cleaned. Clothes washer/dryer shared downstairs. Owner answers quickly. However, several things detract. Upkeep lax which gives feel of neglect. Kitchen area frankly needs makeover - paint chipped and dingy. Window rust marks & significant amount of mold in sill. (More below.) Appliances functional but old. Pots heavily scratched / knives dull. Shower/toilet area slider door water damaged, scrapes floor & cannot be closed. Entry door made of compressed wood slats - very dirty / crumbling. Duct tape covers one of worse slats but peeling away / dirty. Bathroom sink drains slowly. TV has 1 inch black line. One ceiling fan only spins slowly. Several lights have confusing controls. Some curtains dirty. I sent message to owner asking window mold be cleaned. Was told call “on island” contact. No issue doing this but found I was put in position to close loop between owner and contact. I talked to contact who identified herself & told me we are in the tropics / mold can happen in a week. I told her this mold was obviously many weeks old. Owner said that since mold was on outside, it really was responsibility of condo association & they were contacted. I said I contracted / paid the owner & held him responsible. Also, did not want anyone coming into apartment when I not there. Owner texted me “We'll need your cooperation to get this issue solved.” This implied I needed to change my schedule to be at apartment when they could get there – but he or contact not specific on when they could be there. I ended up sending several texts to owner and to contact before she came unannounced to clean the mold. To her credit, she was very personable and quickly bleached away the mold. She didn’t know about paint problems I mentioned on first call because I had actually talked to her sister who for her convenience said that she was contact. This might in itself be a small thing but to me, was part of the burden put on me to communicate. Yes, of course, I could have cleaned the mold myself but I have paid to have the apartment clean and the mold was frankly a health issue that needed to be brought to the owner.

The location is awesome and the property is amazing. We really enjoyed the full ocean breeze coming through the sun room with the windows opened on all 3 sides and the beach equipment available in the room. The 60 day cancellation policy is firm. We had a cruise cancel on us 7 weeks prior to sailing and were unable to alter or cancel our reservation. No worries, just something to keep in mind. This was the worst check-in experience I've had with VRBO. I got an email from VRBO a couple days prior to check-in stating that the owner had not provided check-in instructions and prompted me to reach out directly to the owner via direct messaging through the platform. On check-in day I had still not heard back from the owner and ended up at the property not knowing what unit # or any entry/access details. Had to call/text the owner directly, thankfully his contact # is listed, and wait for a response. That was a rather anxious hour of waiting to hear back. He contacted me back and gave me everything we needed to access the condo. It was great after that!

Loved the view and that the beach was right there. The place was great, the beds were comfortable and despite the construction in the parking lot and having neighbors nearby, it was quiet. There were beach towels and snorkeling items in the place too. Two things we wished for though was one, a portable AC in the room for the nights. We were there 6 nights and it was a little difficult to sleep. And two, curtains on the ocean side where the second bed is located. It got pretty bright right at dawn. Thanks for sharing your beautiful location and condo.

The unit is simple but has everything you need. Can’t beat the location for unplugging and unwinding. Can’t wait to return!

If you want a relaxing place to stay with amazing views, crystal clear waters, fish, sea turtles, and few whales in the far distance , and true Hawaiian charm- this is it! The cottage has everything you need for a weeks stay; a well equipped kitchen, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, a small cooler and more. With just steps from the ocean water what more could you want. We were firm believers that I would never visit the same place twice until now. This place takes a hold on you and doesn’t let go! Property has everything you need. Could use a replacement ice tray. Kitchen is small but adequate. Owner has supplied beach/water toys, chairs and snorkel equipment. Great idea to supply tub to rinse sand off your feet outside by the door. Several fans and wonderful sea breeze to keep you cool. Amazing view from inside the rental unit. Walkable beach just outside, reserved parking spot is close. The water is deep enough to snorkel, watching for Sea turtles, but shallow for a good distance, to stand if necessary. Perfect snorkel area. We saw turtles daily and they came on the beach to rest.

This place was awesome. The view of the ocean was amazing. Loved all of the windows letting in the ocean breeze. Had tons of amenities along with washer/dryer, which came in handy. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

We loved the ease and privacy of the beach. The location of the cottage was perfect for great views! Many fans throughout the cottage helped us have a comfortable stay. Place was well stocked. We loved our time here.
