Great communication, cabin as advertised, allowed pets, clean, well taken care of, and an authentic Hocking Hills experience.

This was a great place for what we needed. It was close (as close as anything is in Hocking Hills) to everything we wanted to do--hike, swim, zipline, horseback riding. The air conditioning was much appreciated on a few very hot days, as was access to the Chalet pool (about 7 miles drive from cabin). If there was one thing that would be welcome it would be a few more kitchen and bathroom supplies--like tissue, a role of paper towels, maybe some salt and paper. There is really nothing beyond towels and toilet paper. But, overall, great for what we needed. Would stay again.

This was our second tine renting this cabin & even though we had some neighbors who were unpleasant we enjoyed our stay just as much as we did the first time. We will definitely do it again

We really enjoyed the cabin. The layout is more like a home than the open floor cabins we usually stay in. The wood burning fireplace was a plus and we had a fire every night. They could use some hooks near the doors for things like hats, and jackets. While it’s not as secluded as we’d like, it was close to Logan which was nice for grabbing things at Kroger. We would definitely stay here again.

My family enjoyed their stay at the Alpine. We traveled with our son (12) and two English Mastiffs. The cabin had plenty of room for all of us.
We loved the hot tub and used it often. We didn't expect much with the beds, but they were surprisingly ok. In the morning whatever achiness we had was soaked away in the hot tub. Location was great for the hiking that we wanted to do at the parks.
Only one small caveat, we really needed an outside hose. With two dogs hiking at the trails they were dirty and we always wash them before they come inside. We went to the main office to ask and they said that wasn't an option. We would have paid extra if it were.
Either way, we highly recommend this stay and look forward to coming back.

Nice quiet location, very clean, full kitchen. Trees all around, I enjoyed birdwatching from the porch. Didn’t make a fire but really enjoyed the hot tub. Would return here!

We came to experience Hocking Hills in the winter. No disappointments at all! The hiking was wonderful! Frozen waterfalls and snow covered landscapes. Our 2 small doxies enjoyed their hikes too!
The cabin is nicely furnished: people and dog friendly. The property management company is excellent with communication telling you exactly what to expect, what to bring and how to enjoy your stay. The hot tub was a lovely feature, and although has 4 seats is best for 2 to enjoy.
The beds are not the most comfortable, but just what to expect for a rental home. The living room has great seating. We downloaded netflex movies to our laptop and connected to their tv w our hdmi cable (we brought). The kitchen has everything you need to make meals, coffee, etc.
I would rent again.

In the hocking hills area there is very limited cell phone reception. The process to check in requires you to have cell access and they email and text you when the cabin is ready along with the cabin code. There was an issue with the previous guests not knowing the dates they reserved the cabin for and made for a very awkward situation that could have been entirely avoided if the chalets verified the dates you had the cabin reserved upon check in. Very nice cabin but just make sure you verify the exact dates you reserve.

Clean cabin with everything we needed. Great central location. Quiet, woodsy location with a nice outdoor firepit and benches. Hot tub was a nice touch as well as the back porch swing.

The cabin was extremely clean with a great back porch. The rd behind you can be kinda loud at times and the amenities as far as dishes are minimal. Which works out fine for a short stay. I forgot my hair dryer so had to purchase one, was nice stores and restaurants were so close and Christy's pizza delivers. Phone service worked great. Was a very nice feel of the home.

Review
Hot tub buttons seemed to not work very well. Also the master bedroom bed frame was broken. Other than that, this was our 2nd time staying at this cabin and we love it.

Alpine
The cabin was immaculate and clean. The hot tub was perfect! The only problem was the internet was not working. We did call the desk when we arrived to let them know. But, we understand that things take time to fix and the cable company would have to come on the premises to fix it. We were fine without it. 😁

Wonderful winter weekend
My husband and I took my parents away for the weekend. Alpine was so perfect and we enjoyed every minute! The upstairs second bedroom does get cold but a space heater and extra blankets warmed it right up! So clean and cozy. The fireplace and movies were so amazing. It was too cold to hike but we loved just relaxing in the cabin. Will definitely be back!

wonderful respite!
My daughter and I needed some get away together time and this fit the bill. The cabin was much larger and cozier than I expected. Clean, well- stocked (even some firewood for the fireplace). It was a true delight!

Awesome Cabin
This was our 3rd time visiting Hocking Hills and our 2nd time in this cabin. The location is great and the cabin is cozy and inviting. All the amenities are just what you need to feel at home and the hot tub is an added bonus to make you feel like you are on vacation. We will definitely be back and will rent this cabin again if it’s available.

Good location
My husband and I stayed at Alpine for 3 nights. It was the perfect location from Logan (which has everything you might need during your stay) and all of the trails. It has just the right amount of privacy but without being too far.
The hot tub was fantastic- probably one of our favorite things about the place. It was so nice to soak after a long day of hiking. The indoor fireplace was our other favorite. Very cozy and relaxing. We enjoyed the chess board and never even turned the tv on! The kitchen has a spare amount of utensils and gadgets, but it did have everything we needed for the few days we were there. To be honest, we didn’t hardly cook. The Millstone BBQ was delicious! Don’t get sucked into the buffet at The Old Dutch Inn- overrated and overpriced.
I do want to note that the upstairs (both bedrooms and both bathrooms) doesn’t have heat. I feel this should be included in the description or they should at least provide multiple warm blankets. There’s only one blanket downstairs and we brought it up to bed and we still froze on our first night! The next night we switched rooms (because the one bed is uncomfortable) and cranked the heat downstairs to 77 degrees which helped. Also, both couches are way past their prime and it’s time for new ones. Overall, the comfort factor wasn’t there.
I gave 5 stars because for a few nights those things aren’t major- but if you’re staying for longer, I would look elsewhere for the price.

A quiet retreat
Really enjoyed the quiet setting of the cabin and proximity to both the town of Logan and great hiking in Hocking Hills SP. The cabin was very clean. Wished we had more time there than an overnight stay.

Hocking Hills vacation
Great location to travel to/from Hocking Hills state park. Very clean. Enjoyed relaxing in hot tub after hiking. Great communication with hosts who would usually respond the same day.

Good time at the Chalets
Our cabin was beautiful, clean, and nicely located on the property. My wife and I visit the Hocking area about twice per year and we definitely will stay with the Chalets from now on.

I liked the location of the cabin, close to everything. Even though the cabins were close they were still far enough away from each other.

A bit of serenity
The cabin was very nice. The enjoyment of the fireplace during my stay was great. Having a washer and dryer to use if necessary was a feature that is not offered at others. The sky light in the bedroom made for time to daydream. Also going in the hot tub was so relaxing. I was so thankful that it was pet friendly, for my dog is important to me. I had a wonderful stay at your cabin and will be back to enjoy again.Thank you Rhonda

Perfect getaway cabin
We spent 2 nights at the Alpine cabin in December. The location was 10-15 minutes to the popular Hocking Hills sites and close to the town for access to food/shopping. The cabin was clean, quiet, had everything we needed. The hot tub worked great. Kitchen was large, beds were comfortable. Master bedroom was a bit colder then the rest of the cabin, a small heater was provided. Has washer/dryer/dishwasher. Would love to go back in warmer weather to take advantage of the outdoor fire pit and porch. WiFi was ok. Staff called me when cabin was ready for us, even earlier than “check in time”. Overall very pleased with the cabin.
