River Home in the historic village of Marine on St. Croix
Maison Sans Chèvres, notre charmante maison de style Craftsman, a deux histoires, deux avec de grandes fenêtres donnant sur le Saint- Croix River.
Le niveau principal dispose d'une cuisine comptoir de granit avec des appareils en acier inoxydable faites pour profiter de la cuisine et manger, une salle à manger pouvant accueillir 8-10 personnes; un salon d'accueil avec une cheminée à gaz, fenêtres donnant sur le fleuve et une reine taille canapé sommeil; une salle de bains d'invité, et une suite chambre des maîtres avec baignoire jacuzzi et douche séparée.
Le niveau inférieur dispose d'un coin télévision confortable avec un canapé-lit queen size, un coin salon autour d'une cheminée à gaz, une salle de bains unique et une chambre avec une fenêtre donnant sur la rivière.
Le niveau supérieur sort sur une spacieuse, enrouler autour du pont. Le niveau inférieur se promène sur un patio avec une sensation de cabine de la rivière. Les deux espaces extérieurs ont des meubles pour découvrir les sites et les sons de la rivière et pour manger. Il ya un barbecue à gaz sur le pont.
Comme nous vivons à seulement 10 minutes de route, nous serons à la maison pour vous accueillir à votre arrivée et nous serons disponibles par téléphone si vous avez besoin répondu aux questions ou assistance pendant votre séjour.

Thank you Vincent and Christine for sharing your lovely home. We enjoyed our annual girlfriend get-away this year at Maison Sans Chevres. Your kitchen was a wonderful space to work in as we shared meals together and dined at the large table facing the river! Your vacation home has a lot of charm with beautiful furnishings and art. We wish that the description of your home would have accurately described the number of bedrooms and sizes of all the beds. We were expecting 4 bedrooms and sleeping mattresses, pull-out couch or otherwise as described, however, we discovered only two bedrooms, without closets, hangers or hooks for items and two pull-out couches that took away additional living space from the parlor and family room. Two of the sleeping mattresses were full-sized, not queen, which can make for uncomfortable slumber for mature adults. We also battled many spiders and webs on both levels of the home and found ourselves cleaning them out around the baseboards, and furniture. We feel this is something that should be taken care of by the cleaning service or checked prior to guests arriving.

We initially booked this property because of its proximity to Stillwater. We were met with a sweet surprise of Marine on St. Croix as a small town with safe streets, friendly people and the most beautiful views. This home has all the amenities needed PLUS beautiful scenes of the river, well loved furniture and all the comforts of home. Spacious and accommodating for a group with plenty of indoor and outdoors spaces for games, cards, reading and relaxing.

My sister and nieces had a wonderful time at this quaint craftsman on the banks of the St Croix River. Such a lovely house - with a great kitchen and cozy living room with fireplace. And, absolutely amazing views of the river and fall colors. Being able to walk 3 minutes to the heart of Marine was an absolute plus. Such a fun weekend - thanks!

We were celebrating 10 years of an annual girlfriend getaway that all started with camping. We evolved into renting homes and this was one of our favorites. We loved the cute little town of Marine on St. Croix and the house was perfect. With 6 of us there was plenty of room. The big tables inside and out made it easy for us to play games and have some amazing meals. Thank you to our hosts for a really memorable and pleasant stay.

How idyllic can a place be? After viewing this home online for the months preceding our reservation, it exceeded even our dreamy expectations when we settled in for a week in June. The only issue was that we immediately limited our touristy destinations, as we didn’t want to leave! This cabin not only provided every comfort and more than you might expect in a fully stocked kitchen, it encouraged a restful stay with all the furnishings inviting a good read or conversation. We particularly enjoyed the great long table overlooking the river to share meals and spread out a puzzle. A patio table and comfortable chairs provided that same view from a shady deck, perfect for morning coffee and bird songs. I am reviewing the stay of three women who maintain their long-distance friendship over the years by choosing a destination to spend time together in the summer. Mason sans Chèvres was perfect! This home is truly a year-round option. We left thinking how cozy those fireplaces will be in a few months…….

What a wonderful place to stay! A gorgeous home so warm and inviting. Christine was a wonderful host meeting us at the property when we checked in. The stay was so relaxing and we will be back to stay here again. This place is a gem! The town was like stepping back in time. A must place to stay.

Our family enjoyed this craftsman style well kept home. Beautiful view of the river. We would have enjoyed using deck area if tree debris had been cleaned. However the immaculate and beautifully decorated interior was fantastic.

The women in our family try and get together once a year. We come from all over the state of Wisconsin and the Cities. We look for somewhere near shopping or other gathering opportunities. We also want something reasonably priced, clean and quaint. Marine on St. Croix hit all the marks. It is a beautiful home with all the amenities we needed. We played cards and games on the large kitchen table. Shopping was a short drive to Stillwell. Part of our group walked to the nearby bar as they were waiting for the rest of the group. There was also a coffee shop and general store within walking distance. Marine on St. Croix looks like it is out of a Hallmark Christmas Movie. Thank you so much for hosting us and letting us see a new part of Wisconsin.

We had a great stay here to celebrate a milestone birthday. It is a beautiful house with a perfect location right on the river with stunning river views. It’s a 5 min drive to Rustic Root Winery, a 15 min drive to Stillwater and walkable to Marine on St Croix restaurants and shops. Exactly what we needed! Thank you!

This was an amazing spot for a girls weekend getaway. We enjoyed the whole house- all of the details in the decor were so fun! We walked to town for coffees in the AM, lunch at the Brookside bar/grill and had dinner reservations at Annas. It was a great place to stay and we would love to be able to come again and repeat the great weekend!

This is a very welcoming property, beautiful inside and out. Our only complaint was the full bed in the basement, it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Other than this, it was a perfect stay!

Wonderful house and an amazing location! Walking distance to the picturesque town of Marine on St Croix - highly recommended visiting Brooksides and Marine General Store. Short drive to Stillwater with all its bars, restaurants and shops. Reality though, you don’t need to leave the house. Perfect set up for two couples (one takes upstairs, other takes downstairs). Christine and Vincent have thought of everything - loved sitting in the parlor with fireplace going listening to some vintage vinyl on the turntable! Such a peaceful retreat and the pictures don’t do it justice!

Very nice charming place to stay! We enjoyed the cabin with its roomy kitchen, great dining space, lovely river views, plus the nicely decorated rooms and bathrooms. Additionally there was within walking distance a grocery store, ice cream shop and restaurants. Such an enjoyable weekend!

Our weekend getaway was just what we all needed. Christine’s home was beautiful and she was very communicative throughout the weekend. Extra kudos to Vincent who helped us when we had a little auto emergency upon checkout. We have a fantastic time!

Host was gracious in us checking in and out to maximize our family time together with grandma and the cousins post pandemic. The place has little rooms here and there and corners everywhere for conversation and hanging out. Huge harvest dining table. Strong AC, the house was nice and cool. Access to the St Croix river was a little rickety but the mikd current and shallow water was perfect for swimming and kayaking. Many nearby sand dunes that someone 5ft can walk across to. The little town was fun as well and made it feel like vacatione. Minor con were the two Sofa sleeper spring mattresses...not an issue for teens but older adults may find it uncmfortable. All in all, we would love to come back and yes would recommend for others seeking to gather with friends and family.

This beautiful home has been very lovingly restored by the present owners with quality upgrades throughout. We enjoyed every room, especially the living area with the comfortable furniture and fireplace. The location is within a couple of blocks of the town of Marine on Saint Croix, which has all the charm you could ask for, and some excellent business's. The house is right above the river, and would be a great getaway during winter months as it is very cozy - the summer must be even better, given the great decks and sitting area on the dock. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, upgraded, I can't say enough about this location, house. Area, it was all so nice. The owners are great folks who own a goat farm about 10 miles away. They have lovingly restored and updated this riverside gem. Great for families of 4 to 8.I hope to visit there again.

Great house and very nice owners. A true Craftsman gem, every detail was so unique. Christine referred us to the local Marina and we parked the pontoon right at the property. A wonderful way to experience the scenic St. Croix River. The house is walking distance to the local general store, bar and grill, and the awesome ice cream shop. This house would also be great in the winter with the fireplaces and hot tub!!

A wonderful way to experience the scenic St. Croix River. The house is walking distance to the local general store, bar and grill, and the awesome ice cream shop. Peaceful, Idyllic Setting!
The property had great character and was very well maintained and equipped. Very private setting with lovely river view. Easy drive to Stillwater and other surrounding points of interest. The host, Christine, met us at the home upon arrival to give us a tour and answer any questions we had and left us a lovely welcome gift of wine, cheese and crackers. The only downside was that the sofa sleepers were a bit uncomfortable, but I would highly recommend this property and would gladly stay there again.
