I used this property with my wife and children aged 4-9. The beach that can be reached on foot is very clean and quiet. Property security is perfect and secure. It is in a very convenient location, close to the airport. The facilities such as cooking utensils were sufficient and it was very comfortable.

This home is in an amazing location. The beach is steps away and absolutely beautiful. The pool that was promised in the pictures was under construction, which we were not made aware of prior to our visit, so that was a bit disappointing. In fairness, the property has a second pool that was serviceable, but it is on the shady side of the property, and thus was not warm enough to swim in. This house has great potential to be an amazing vacation home, if only it received some much needed TLC.
On our first day there, we discovered that the Wi-Fi, hot water heater and air conditioner were not working. Luckily the property manager, Barbara, was extremely responsive, and by Day 2, the hot water was fixed. Again, through the diligence of Barbara, the Wi-Fi was fixed on Day 3. On Day 5, the broken air conditioner started leaking water through the ceiling into the living room, and we had to put a bucket and towels beneath to catch the water. Unfortunately, this happened on a rainy day, and we were stuck inside the hot house all day while the repair men worked to fix the issue. Luckily, we were there in December, not the middle of the summer, and not having air conditioning was only uncomfortable, not completely unbearable. In addition to these major issues, the house also needs some repairs and deep cleaning. For example, there are steep stairs, and the rail was not affixed correctly. Our six-year-old son even fell down the stairs because he was afraid to use the broken rail. The sliding doors were extremely difficult to open and close, and the large screen door at the back of the house would not remain on the tracks. Additionally, there was mold or mildew within the house and on both shower curtains, and our allergen-sensitive kids had stuffy noses while inside. Finally, one of the bathroom sinks in the upstairs did not drain properly. For the cost of renting this residence, it only seems right that the owner address the many issues and provide ongoing maintenance that is lacking.

The outdoor patio was nice, the living room furniture was not very comfortable and not enough seating for 4 adults. The unit was well stocked, but everything was very old and used. (need some new pots and pans and utensils) The lighting was poor and there was several lights that needed new light bulbs. There were no lights that worked in the downstairs bathroom. Location was good, enjoyed being close to the water. On site manager was helpful and responsive.

The best thing about this place is the location. Ocean views, short walk to beach, walking distance to good restaurants and a grocery store. (Although I would recommend having a car to carry the 5 gallon water bottles for pure water, pretty much standard in Nassau.) Close enough to downtown to get there easily but out of the cruise ship crowds. AC works fine. Very safe, gated community.
the place is spacious. however, I would have to say it is in need of an update. the kitchen and bathrooms are pretty dated. We initially had quite a few minor problems. (A bannister on the stairs fell off; some lights did not work; a window would not open. Screen to the patio worked badly.) However, I will say that the owner and her manager (Barbara) worked hard to fix everything as soon as possible, and were very responsive. Prices are high in nassau and this place is probably reasonable all in all. I know we could have found a more luxurious place but I am sure it would have cost a lot more.

What a pleasure it was to stay at this condo on the west side of Nassau. My family (including two boys, ages 11 & 13) thoroughly enjoyed it, including the large patio overlooking the water, the spacious living/dining room, and the comfortable bedrooms. The manager, Barbara, was extremely helpful and friendly, and even drove us to the grocery store the day we arrived to stock up. I think my boys' favorite feature was the very fast Wi-Fi internet, though mom & dad only used it to look up places we were going to visit.
The location was very good if you want to be on the water, but out of the hustle & bustle of downtown. We paid $40 for cab rides for 4 people to/from the airport and to Paradise Island and Atlantis. Appreciated the owner's recommendation to book a night at the Comfort Suites on Paradise Island, which offers day passes at Atlantis for 2 days (the day you check in & the day you leave) for 1 night hotel booking, which is 1/2 the cost of tickets directly from the resort. The daylong excursion to Exuma Keys on Powerboat Adventures (which also departs from Paradise Island) was a major highlight for us, thanks to the owner's suggestion.
Only downsides were the overly firm mattresses, and the toilet on the ground floor not working (parts are on order). Otherwise, it's in great shape.
Highly recommended!

This place has an amazing view and is quiet and away from the cruise ship and all inclusive scene. Restaurants and markets in walking distance. Good snorkeling just outside the door! Our 4 kids all enjoyed themselves despite one of them getting a stomach bug (on the plane on the way here) which was passed to my wife and another daughter.
The downsides were the downstairs toilet wasn't working. I imagine it will be fixed soon. The upstairs window AC is very loud, but we ran it for a little while before going to bed and turned it off. I was fine, but my wife found the bed, or possibly the pillows, uncomfortable. The only other issue
Overall, if we come back to New Providence, we would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I spent 2 months at this townhome and it felt just like home. The location was perfect and we didn't need a car because public transportation was right outside the gate. The condo was very clean and well maintained. There was everything you would need, fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella and plenty of linens. You only need to shop for your food and bring your clothes. There is a lot to see in Nassau and Paradise Island. There were many restaurants, just a bus ride away. The bus stops at 7:00pm but there are taxis available after the bus stops. The staff at the complex were very helpful and friendly, as were Natalia, the condo manager and Catherine the owner. My grand children visited for I week and they loved the Dolphin Encounter at Blue Lagoon and swimming off the dock at the condo. I loved visiting Atlantis but found it pricey. I would definitely go back.

I wrote a review of this condo and VRBO misprinted my star rating. They printed a 3 star rating and I gave it a 5 star rating. I could not edit it so I'm writing to correct this for anyone reading a review of this property. It was excellent.

We stayed at this home for 4 nights and had a blast. We came with our twin 15 year old boys, and each had his own bedroom. The home is conveniently located near the Sheraton Hotel and numerous restaurants. We had a car and visited the town and shops. We also visited Atlantis, but we were glad we stayed where we did. The view is phenomenal and the place is delightful. The homes are in a gated community and is so quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is beautiful and opens onto a great room with a remarkable view of the bay. The owners were so nice and flexible. I recommend this home to any family who wants to stay in Nassau, off the beaten path. We actually spent 2 days on day passes at the Sheraton so we could go to the beach and use the fitness center, rent jet skis, and go sailing. It only cost us ~$90 for the 4 of us. So, you can stay in this home and enjoy a nearby beach and hotel amenities.

My wife, children, and I stayed here in June 2012. The location was great. It was far enough from the hustle and bustle of Atlantis, but close enough to stay for a couple of days. It was great for kids. It was perfect for snorkeling. Overall, a great time by all and highly recommended.

Wonderful family vacation
My family thoroughly enjoyed our vaction here. Everything we needed for a stress-free time was right at our doorstep. The beach was right there, and mostly empty (but no shade there) and the veranda with the lounge chairs and big shade tree, overlooking the beach was perfect (and also mostly deserted). The pool also felt like our private pool and was nice to cool off in. We snorkeled right off the dock---head to the left, way out to the big rock (which at low tide you can almost walk out to). Lots of fish, and even saw a giant lobster. We also did the Stuart's Cove snorkeling trip, to three locations, including one where you snorkeled while they fed coral reef sharks 40 ft. below! Our favorite restaurants were Indigo (right next door to Starbucks), Spritz's (in the back of Sandy Pointe --right across from Delaport Point), and the Cricket Club (close to Nassau overlooking the cricket fields and below Fort Charlotte). Shopping at the Straw Market was hot and the vendors not really willing to barter---and they all sold the exact same things!

Ocean Family Getaway Vacation!
We had an awesome week here at Delaporte Point House 12a. This was a quaint, quiet safe gated location with beautiful ocean views from every floor and a pool and the ocean literally steps away from the house. The owner Catherine was extremely helpful and kind in dealing with this rental. Natalia was also very helpful with many good recommendations of resteraunts and anything we needed she was there to give assistance. We definitely recommend to have the water containers waiting for you upon arrival. The grounds and landscaping are clean and very well maintained and manicured. The house had wifi which was a huge plus for us. We had the pool practically to ourselves and the dock by the ocean we too enjoyed all the lounge chairs. We watched the turtles every night come to the dock around dinner time. The house was clean and beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of beach towels to use for our family of five for the week. There was security guards patroling the grounds ever so often which made us feel secure. If we ever go back to Nassau we would definitely consider staying again here.

For a nice quiet stay, choose this!
Five of us from our family stayed in this home/condo. The property owner was VERY helpful, updating us on shopping, dining, and activities prior to our stay. She answered every question promptly, and her info was on the mark!
The property was clean and well-maintained, to include necessities like TP and fresh water. That was helpful, so we didn't have to shop the minute we arrived. The pools were not used much, so we had them both to ourselves much of the time, and we found them clean and maintained well.
The beach area could have been cleaner, but it was definitely habitable.
I would not recommend going to the nearest restaurant (which we did the first night, because of convenience)- the food was alright, but the price tag was a shocker! I would recommend Spritz' for pizza and salad, it is within walking distance.
There were two places which were also within walking distance which probably are not on a tourist guide, but well worth your time. They are both west of the property- one is called Nesbitt's. They have a poolroom, as well as an outdoor seating area. Expats as well as locals frequent this place; the prices are reasonable and the food as good as you will find in Nassau. The other place is an outdoor bar, which we only say locals visit. The owner- Harvey- is very welcoming of visitors, and all of his guests welcomed us!! The name of the place used to be Prince's, but that may be changing soon.
Either way, enjoy the property, the weather, and the people!

Girls Trip Mar 2012
Property as described, the views are lovely. Owner Catherine very nice and easy to work with, Natalia the manager was superb, went out of her way to assist with some minor issues that arose but were swiftly dealt with. Great location, usually very quiet and peaceful. The furniture in the living area needed some clean up. Lots of towels and beach towels available, and was so nice to have some supplies already there so did not have to immediately go to the store. Had a great dinner at Poop Deck and Nesbitts, a local place the security guard told us about which was 1/2 the price of all other restaurants, all in walking distance. Would go again and again if we could. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Great vacation
We had a wonderful family vacation at Delaporte Point. The condo is just right for several couples, enough privacy and enough group space for eating (inside or out), TV, visiting. Condo location is perfect, a few steps to the pool, and a two-minute walk to the beach. Ocean views from bedrooms and living room. Our grandson loved the covered, shallow end of the pool - perfect for a 3-yr old! There is a second pool on the property, but we only walked over there to see the sun set. Condo is accurately described in the listing. Convenient location and parking. Friendly neighbors and staff. Local property manager is attentive and friendly, and the owner is responsive, helpful and friendly.
We would recommend this property to anyone looking for an oceanside vacation.

Great vacation spot
Our family had a wonderful vacation at Delaporte Point. Condo was perfect for several couples, good privacy and enough group space for dining (indoors or out), TV, and visiting. Really liked location just steps from the pool (there is a second pool on the property, but we never went there, no need) and two minute walk to beach. Our grandson spent hours in the covered, shallow end of the pool. Perfect for a 3-yr old. Convenient parking, excellent security, friendly neighbors and staff!
Condo was accurately described in the listing, amenities as listed. Owner was friendly and very timely with responses. Local property manager also very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect laid back location.
The location of this rental was perfect. It is a little off the beaten path but that is what made it so perfect. The Delporte Point community was very safe, clean and friendly. The bus that goes downtown is super close, about a 2 minute walk. We used the bus everyday and it was by far the best way to travel. It usually took about 15 minutes to get downtown from the house on the bus. The pool closest to the house was very nice and no one was ever in it besides our family so it was like having our own private pool. The Sandyport beach that is by the house was nice and the snorkling there was very good. The house it's self was nice and well cared for. A big plus with this rental was that they provided necssities such as hand soap, dish soap, detergent, paper towels, ect. and you just replaced them if they ran out. I loved this because you didn't have to rush to the store as soon as you arrived. The owner, Catherine and the manager, Natalia were both very nice to deal with. We had a minor issue while staying there and Natalia was so helpful and took care of the issue quickly. I would definitely recommend this rental it was a great location and a great price.

Great for Relaxing
If you are looking for a place somewhat off the beaten path and away from the touristy areas, this is a good place. Great views of the water from the back patio, right next to the pool and ocean with a sandy beach just a minute walk away. If you are looking to relax by the water with some seclusion this is the place. If you are looking for a resort atmosphere with lots of activities, probably not your place.
But if and when you want to go downtown for the day or a meal, the bus runs by frequently and is very easy and safe.

Gorgeous Views!!
We had a wonderful stay at your townhome! It was spacious, clean and had all the amenities that we needed during our stay. Having a grocery service that delivered all of our groceries prior to our arrival was fantastic! The on-site property manager was very nice and helpful. This location is well outside of the tourist areas which made it very quiet. We loved having our own private beach area and the sunsets from the pool area were magnificent!! The Poop Deck restaurant was great but really the only restaurant within walking distance but we had no problems getting jitneys or taxis from this location. Our favorite cabbie, Goldie was dependable and truly a gem! We would definitely stay here again! Take advantage of the Dolphin Encounter experience-- well worth the money!

Family Vacation
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay in the Bahamas. The unit had everything that we needed for a great vacation and was just as nice as the photos. The property is well kept with 2 nice pools and a great beachfront area for swimming and snorkelling. We snorkelled every day and saw amazing sea turtles, stingrays and many different types of fish. My sons enjoyed jumping from the dock and fishing off the point. The owner and manager were extremely helpful and our rental and vacation went very smooth. We rented a car and travel to downtown Nassau was very easy and grocery stores were easy to get to. We had a fantastic week at this condo and would recommend this vacation spot to anyone looking for a quieter vacation a short drive away from all the action.
