Everything . Couldn't have been made more welcome. Mrs mcquade and her daughter made both me and my wife feel totally at home . I would highly recommend a stay at Hawthorn house . Most definitely one of the best I've stayed at and I've stayed at a lot 5 star service all round at affordable prices . Best cooked breakfast I've had at any hotel I've stayed at . It was superb . You will not regret staying here .You can tell the 50 yrs of experience as it shines throu .

Stayed for work. An absolute hidden gem and (as someone who stays in Kettering for work several times a year) it comfortably takes top spot! One of the best hotel breakfasts I have had for a long time and a good bed.

Not an ultra modern establishment, but that is kind of the whole point. You have WiFi, ensuite, all the usual thing, but it's draped in a wonderful charm and warm presentation.

We were made very welcome from beginning to the end. Had a wake-up call in person, as we stayed in the converted Coach House

Breakfast well cooked for us by friendly lady. Old fashioned building and decor is a matter of taste. Kettering has minimal restaurants for evening meal, but an excellent though small Indian restaurant in the central square

Main building probably better than annex.

Host was very nice and welcoming, breakfast was great for the start of the next day. Was close to our venue (Barton Halls) and cheap taxi after our event.

The electric shower didn't appear to work very well, ended up having a luke warm (at best) shower. The en suite didn't have any heating, therefore with the cold shower didn't really help. Wasn't really an issue for 1 night but any longer and would have complained etc.

Nice cosy hotel centrally located. Excellent hospital by Mrs Mcquade. Ensuite room very traditional but super cosy and clean. Tea, coffee and fridge facilities in the room too. and best of all - free full English breakfast !

The warmth of of the reception and the care taken to make sure I was happy with my room. I also appreciated the car parking. Breakfast was excellent and exactly as ordered. The whole experience was just like being a guest in someone's home!

Lovely host made me feel welcome. The location was ideal for It's use. Finally it had lovely facilities and was very quiet which made a pleasant overnight stay.

It's everything you want from a classic English B&B, from the really friendly owner to the ghost story attached to the house. We absolutely loved it.
