The house was perfect for a group wanting to be outdoors, hike and see the local sights but also wanting a comfortable place to land with the convenience of local restaurants. The living area and outdoor space were great for visiting with each other. Wicked Espresso had great coffee next door and you have to try the Purple Pie Place which is also next door. And when an early evening hailstorm hit when we were driving home we were so glad there was a garage to pull into.
We will definitely be back! The area was so beautiful!

The house was wonderful for our group of five adults. Everything was comfortable and clean, and it was so convenient to have access to a garage for our motorcycles. Lori was great to work with and we would love to stay again!

Great location clean and everything we expected

Location within walking distance to shops and restaurants and bars was a plus. Kitchen needed attention. Looked like someone hurriedly went thru kitchen just hitting the high spots. Dishwasher was full of dishes which we didnt know if washed and ran again. We had to clean counters and stove top before we could prepare food. Hope next renter finds it cleaner.

House had everything you could want, very clean. Good location for access to town. Centrally located for things to do in the black hills. Would definitely stay there again,

Worked out great
4.0
The house had plenty of rooms for 8 adults; (there was room for 10 adults). Loved we had the use of the 2 car garage for the motorcycles. Location was great if you are looking at something quiet and away from the riffraff of Sturgis or Buffalo Chip. We did have to wash the dishes/silverware since they seemed to be greasy and dirty. The countertop in the kitchen was dirty too but a quick cleanup fixed that. The refrigerator/freezer is getting old with ice buildup. The beds were comfy since they had foam toppers. The 2 air conditioners upstairs was fine for the upstairs area on hot days but the downstairs was hot and stuffy. Called the property manager was very understanding and attentive to our needs. She installed another portable air conditioner unit in the downstairs and brought several fans for our needs the next morning since the stores were closed that night (we appreciated that). The extra a/c unit worked and made our stay more comfortable. Overall the house met our needs for an enjoyable week of enjoying the black hills attractions.

The house was just as described in the listing! Cutely decorated, comfortable beds, clean and close to town for easy walking. Be aware that the downstairs living room can hear every footstep above, so the downstairs living room bed wasn’t great for kids taking a nap, etc. Fine during the night! Otherwise a great stay.

It was an overall pleasant place to stay, we really enjoyed the convenience of being near everything we needed , we were able to go right up the street for the baby’s milk , and even grab few clothing we forgot to bring . Majority of the household items for daily use were also provided and plentiful, the most important for us was the quick and efficient response we received from the host which made the stay comfortable .

This house was a great home base for us as we explored the area around Custer. It was close to everything and had plenty of room for us to make it our home away from home. The owner was very responsive and made our stay enjoyable.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this property with all its amenities. The owner has the home stocked and supplied just like a home away from home It was so convenient to Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. Even though it is located in the town of Custer we saw deer in the yard multiple days. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends who are visiting the area.

The garage door opener didn’t work so we had to use the walk in door and could not lock the door.
My wife was not thrilled with the cleanliness of the kitchen area.
I was happy with the accommodations and thought it was a terrific location.
Thank you for you allowing us to stay.

The kitchen was well-stocked.

Our family of 10 was very pleased with the house! We had comfortable beds and good space for hanging out, playing card games at the large table and bocce ball in the yard. It was an excellent location for our day trips throughout The Hills, plus a convenient location for grabbing groceries. All good!!

Our group was comprised of two families of four vacationing together, so four adults, two 7-year-olds, and two 10-year-olds. The house was the perfect space for us. It had plenty of space for the families to spread out, including living spaces upstairs and down, tvs in the living room as well as 2 of the bedrooms, and ample kitchen space and supplies. Everything was clean and easy to use. It was especially nice to have laundry facilities available for us. The location of the house in Custer is convenient, both to the amenities in the town, as well as being centrally located to the various Black Hills attractions (Hot Springs and Wind Cave to the south, Custer State Park to the east, and Deadwood, Hill City, Rapid City, and Mt. Rushmore to the north).
I would definitely recommend this rental house to other groups of about 8, you won't be disappointed.

Charming and relaxing
The house was perfect for our large group of adults, and a baby, as there were several separate sleeping areas/rooms, places to relax, and a nice sized kitchen. It is ideally located in Custer, and is walking distance from everything! It is set off the street, so it is quiet in the days and evenings!

Amazing location
We loved the property for our larger party. We had a family downstairs and a family upstairs. Everyone had there own space. It is centrally located. Close to everything! Shops, ice cream, coffee shop, and grocery stores. The house has everything you need which makes packing easier, especially when you visit from out of state. We’d highly recommend this VRBO because of the location, cleanliness, and easy access to all you need. Also, Lori was fantastic to work with! Very responsive and helpful!

Great location for a week in SW South Dakota.
Four senior ladies on a week long trip to see the sights in and around Custer. We all had our own queen bedroom! Lots of books and games. Coffee/tea bar, too. Great location off the main road. Nightly visits from deer. Great food next door.
