We came up for the weekend and found Michael’s place just great. Quiet and spacious, but not too far from the action. I would recommend bringing bikes if you come in the summer. It is a bit too far to walk to the lake, but just right for bikes.

It was a good summer weekend getaway for our family. The place is very conveniently located to all the attractions near heavenly. It is kid friendly. We had good time enjoying the amenities including the hottub. All appliances and the property as a whole was in top condition. Will definitely look for repeat stay here sometime in future

We came to Tahoe with my two sisters and their husbands. Had an amazing time as we don't get together often. We saw Old Dominion at Harvey's and ate at some great restaurants. Visited a local friend in the area and had a wonderful time. All in all it couldn't have gone much better.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! This is the perfect rental for a weekend ski trip to Heavenly. The location is unbeatable, it’s truly walking distance to the slopes. We loaded up one car to bring gear up to the resort and the rest of the crew walked less than a mile. The amenities are excellent, a hot tub for apres ski and wide open floor plan that was awesome for family dinner. The living room is large enough for everyone to sit for a game or movie night. The beds had hotel quality comfort and everything was clean. The place really had everything you needed to have a good time. On top of all this, Michael was a great host, very responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend staying here!

Great Location, Beautiful home.
Our stay was good. We got lucky and it snowed every day. Unfortunately a lot of stuff is still closed around the area but it was nice to get away. The home was well kept. Beautiful portraits taken by the owner were hung throughout the home. Amazing kitchen and the balcony views were nice. Bathrooms were a good size. Beds were a little too hard for my liking but okay with others. Huge garage, perfect for trucks. And I liked that they shoved the snow from the driveway in the morning. Manager was easy to contact with quick responses.
Only downfall was we were charged for a burn in a pillow case that was not our fault. It was burned due to a faulty dryer and should have been looked into before blaming and charging your guests. We were refunded after contacting the owner in regards to the problem.
Besides that, we enjoyed the home a lot and highly recommend to future guests. You will enjoy your stay.

Excellent
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the house . The house was very clean and all the amenities worked perfectly. We enjoyed our time in the jacuzzi with the snow around. It was amazing and perfect family vacation. The manager responded to my request quickly and solved a problem that I faced within less than 10 minutes. I recommend the place and next time I’ll come back to the same place if it would be available.

Beautiful House, Location, Experience
This was the perfect house for our family of four during our 5 day winter visit to Lake Tahoe. The location was absolutely perfect! Close to Heavenly, restaurants and activities. The house is very well maintained, newly furnished / remodeled and clean. Michael was very attentive and check-in was a non-issue whatsoever. The kids played in the snow right outside the door, no need to take them anywhere to get their snow "fix". Location (as stated above) was super convenient, we could have literally walked to the base of Heavenly. We will definitely keep this property on our favorite list and look into it again on our next visit.

Heavenly Perfection
We loved this home! It was perfect for 2 families. Excellent kitchen appliances which was great since we cooked most meals from home due to covid. The jacuzzi was the perfect thing for us to do after a long day of skiing. Our kids loved playing in the snow in the backyard. It was a quick drive to the California Lodge and if you didn’t have kids you could probably walk there. We couldn’t ask for more!

Great property, great location, well stocked
We spent Thanksgiving at the property with another family and had a wonderful time. The location is great, practically walking distance to Heavenly lift and a short drive down to the lake. The home is very clean, nicely decorated, spacious rooms and great common area to hang out. The kitchen was so well stocked with all kinds of utensils - we were easily able to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal for two families. Great place!

Had a great time staying at this property. Close to everything in South Shore yet quiet and secluded. Would certainly recommend this house as a great place to stay. Owner easy to communicate with and the home was in pristine condition when we arrived.

Wonderful spot, well stocked and so close to the village
We were two families ready to ski— and among us 4 small kids. This house was lovely— a nice layout (two bedrooms down, two bedrooms up), a private hot tub, a very well stocked kitchen with all the tools you need and very close to the slopes. We had access to a car so we dropped the kids every morning and picked them up— but the adults walked on several occasions and it took less than 10 minutes.
The house is plenty big but feels cozy with leather sofas and a fire place making the living room a great place to hang out. Overall- a wonderful stay.

Awesome Lux Stay by Heavenly
Michael’s house was awesome. Very spacious and modern with everything you may need. Cool photography on the walls. He was very accommodating with early check in, late check out and offering up helpful tips about the area. Even came over when we had trouble working the TV :). Will be back for sure. Thanks!

Our second time at this beautiful house
This was my husband and my 2nd time staying at this property and it is still just as beautiful and clean as the first time. We had 6 adults occupying the house and we all had plenty of space, we were not at all crowded. There were ample kitchen supplies (pots, pans, quality knives and utensils) to make breakfasts and dinners without having to buy basics such as salt/pepper/basic spices. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit were enjoyed just about every evening after a long day on the mountain. Another convenience is it's a quick 5 minute drive to the California Lodge from the house!

I loved it!
We had a group of 8 adults and this place was perfect, Location is ideal, heated garage (great for putting all our skiing gear), new clean hot-tub, outdoor fire pit, great communal area, kitchen had everything needed for cooking, comfortable beds, clean, decorated very nicely. The owners photos were spectacular.
Recommend to all, best rental I have stayed in yet.

Great size, cozy cabin!
This is one of the best VRBOs I ‘ve stayed in! They had everything we need and was very comfortable and was in a great location. Close to skiing and the town. Felt like home away from home! I would highly recommend staying here!

A great location
I'll start with the location, the house is about a mile from the Lake and about the same to the downtown area. The lot backs up to forest land so while being that close to the action you feel like you are in the forest with plenty of privacy.
The house has a big lot with great outside amenities. Hot-Tub was deluxe and looked new, theres a fire-pit in the backyard with horse-shoes and Weber grill on the top deck. The inside was recently remolded and the kitchen had upgraded appliances. Living room had plenty of space, Air Conditioning, leather furniture (not pleather) 70 in TV. Big bedrooms and comfortable beds. My personal option is the photos on the site are accurate, the garage didn't have any photos online and you have access to it. My recommendation to the owner would be to show some photos since its a 4 car garage with heat, Epoxy floors really make it nice.
We didn't have any problems with check in, doors are electronic and directions were laid out nicely. We had a great stay.
Property was great and we would come back and stay on future trips.

We loved it!
Our family has stayed at quit a few vacation rentals in the Tahoe area, and this was by far the best. Air conditioning, 3 TV's 55"-70", Hot tub was brand new, big back yard with fire-pit and horse shoes, beds were comfortable, the photography on the walls was inspiring to say the least. Kitchen fully stocked with blenders to crock-pots. 2 thumbs up, I cant say enough good things. We would definitely come back and recommend to all.

Great house, but we had some issues. Would still recommend
Overall the house was great. We did have some issues that I am fairly sure the owner has resolved. The three main issues: 1. Hot tub leaked so profusely that it was impossible to use. If we filled it up, the majority of the water would leak out the bottom before it could heat up, rendering it completely unusable. This was a major bummer as the hot tub was a huge selling point and we wouldn't have picked it had we known this. That said, we were told by the owner that a new hot tub was arriving the day after we left. Didn't do us any good, but I imagine others will not have this issue. 2. hot water in the house was out the morning we left, so cold showers for all. No idea what the issue was with that. 3. refrigerator kept food cool, not cold. A little annoying, but not a huge deal.
Those three issues aside, the house was very nice, accommodated our crew nicely, the owner was super nice and very helpful and accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked While I can only give this a three star review due to the issues mentioned above, I'm sure others will not have these problems. It would have either been a four or five star review without these issues. The house is great, location is perfect, backyard is awesome, owner was great. My only other comment is it can get pretty warm inside the house. We happened to be in Tahoe when the temps were pushing 90 degrees, a bit unusual for Tahoe. No AC meant very warm inside the house in the late afternoon. Luckily plenty of outdoor seating to move outside where it was cooler. I have no reason to say we wouldn't rent again, I think we just had some very bad timing with some random issues.
Also, my son left his wallet and the owner was kind enough to quickly mail it to us.

Great location, clean place with all the amenities you could need. Everything was perfect. Beautiful place. If there was a small complaint the mattresses were slightly uncomfortable, but we did sleep fine. Otherwise, I would have rated 5 stars.

We recently returned for our second stay at this home, and couldn't be more thrilled. The location is extremely close to everything but quiet. The house and furnishings are perfectly suited for its age and environment, and is kept sparklingly clean. The owner, management, and check-in process are all super easy to deal with. Overall a great stay. House had plenty of room for 4 adults. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and well appointed. We really appreciated the kitchen since we all like to cook. There were plentiful pots and pans, dishes, utensils, great appliances (except the microwave which wouldn’t heat), in a well laid out and spacious kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub after being outdoors all day in freezing weather. The gas fireplace in the living room was a comforting feature. The house location was very good: a 5 minute drive to the Heavenly gondola and the Van Sickle Bi-State Park trailhead, and a 20 minute drive to the trails near Fallen Leaf Lake and Emerald Bay. The information provided by the owners on grocery shopping (Safeway) and restaurants was much appreciated. Our best dinner out was at the nearby, friendly, and warm, Himmel Haus for authentic German cuisine and beers. The owners made concerted efforts to make our stay at their house in South Lake Tahoe comfortable and memorable – and they have succeeded.

The house beats expectations, It was a great property with a great location. What I was especially impressed with was there are 20-30 spices, olive oil, and all the cook ware a family could need. Normally we go to the store and buy 50-60 bucks in spices for a 1 time use, and somewhere in the middle of cooking I realize that I forgot something at the store. Two thumbs up for stocking that, it made a difference.
Location is walkable to Heavenly.
Check in couldn't be easier, we were given a electronic code to the door and with our flight being delayed we didn't get in till late and not having to deal with meeting anybody up led for a smooth entrance.
Cant wait for next year already.

The house is amazing!!!! The best one I have ever rented.
We liked absolutely everything about the house: the location, beds, bathrooms, garage, fireplace, TV, balcony, comfortable couch and chairs. As a big group of 8 people, we felt very comfortable and were not limited in space. The kitchen is one of the best things about that house; I felt like I was cooking at home. There were absolutely everything we needed for cooking. I could not believe you had a blender and a mixer.
Decorated with the owners travel photos and nicknacks, a bonus.
I recommend that house to everyone.

The greatest compliment I could give is that "I would absolutely stay here again" and I would recommend to anybody visiting in the area.
The house location tops the list, the house layout has a good flow, appliances are new, a spectacular master bathroom, hot-tub with a big backyard with fire pit and horseshoes. The owner is a photographer and has his work in all over the house. Very inspiring photos.

Centrally located to all the places we wanted to get to. Amazing outdoor firepit. Ample seating for our group. Large bedrooms. Well maintained. This would be a very comfortable place for a much longer stay than we had time for.

We have never found a place in Tahoe that we could check off everything we wanted in a rental. We wanted to find a place that provided comfortable furnishings, and because we cook and eat in a lot, we needed a place that had good pots and pans and good utensils for cooking our meals. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. All of the beds in this four bedroom home were super comfortable. We thought that this place would be far away from the main strip but to our surprise found that it was really close. Our quest is over, we found our dream rental and will definitely return next year.
