This was a perfect place for our rare gathering of our three grown children, their spouses , and our three grandchildren 2 and under. With everyone having a beautiful bedroom and their own bathrooms, they could have privacy and sleep on their own schedules. There were so many different areas to gather but our favorite was the beachfront screened porch. Due to tropical storm rain the week before almost every beach access path on IOP was flooded but ours was high and dry due to great boardwalk path. House was generously outfitted with everything we needed to feed everyone at the table for 12. Our 30-something’s could walk to get preferred items at grocery store, seafood store, and liquor store but we might have well been in the middle of nowhere once we got side the house and porch. Views everywhere. We never turned on any of the many TVs. Loved the outdoor shower, hose, and carts/supplies under the house. In short, we loved this house, felt it was well worth the price, and hope to return some day. We highly recommend it.

The entire rental experience was phenomenal, from making and adjusting the dates, to the actual stay. The house was perfect - not too haughty, plenty of room, and a great porch with ocean view and breeze. The location was great, too - right near the grocery store, and a short drive to some really good restaurants (we recommend the Sea Biscuit Cafe). Would definitely rent with this agency again, and try to stay in the same house!

Our family of 10 spent 6 nights at 2106 in mid-March. Overall, we had a very good experience and would stay here again. The location is excellent, very central, the house and its layout excellent for 4 couples with 4 young children.We are cooks, so the following are cooking comments:- The large dining table was excellent for our group- Good cookware in the kitchen, decent dishes and glasses; could use more plastic dishes and cups for kids- Proximity to Harris Tweeter grocery store is fantastic!- Great gas grill on porch- Per previous comments, the electric stove is fiddly and in need of replacement- The utility room sink next to the kitchen is very handy- There were no condiments of any sort, not even salt & pepper. Highly recommend owner provide S&P, cooking oils, flour, sugar, but plan on buying everything you will need to cook.Note that there will be no beach towels, you have to provide your own or use the house bath towels. Island Realty should consider making beach towels part of the linen package.Island Realty support was very good. There was no stereo in the house, and insufficient nightlights. They bought and provided them which was really nice.If you will be checking in late, after dark, be sure to request that outside lights be turned on. It was pitch black when we arrived and that caused difficulties.But overall, a great stay in a very nice house. We will return!

Good Morning.I notified your front office of these concerns when checking out: 1) the front left bedroom (with the flip flop comforters) has a musty smell that is most prevalent when you walk in the room. The folks occupying that room moved to a different room because they were coughing at night. We wanted to share this information in case there is a leak or some other issue that needs to be addressed. 2) we noticed a hole in the bottom of the freezer drawer. We've stayed at this location for 9+ years and love the cottage. We have already booked it for 2025 -- just want you to be aware of these concerns.

Wonderful property that will accommodate a large family. Well equipped kitchen. Very clean and well maintained. Elevator is helpful. Great screened porch. Our only complaint is that the beach access is challenging, as the boardwalk runs out, and one has to climb up steep sand to get to the beach. Better parking this year with the overgrown bushes gone. Liked that the trash and re-cycling cans were under the house instead of in the driveway. Appreciate your fixing the door on the screen porch.

We had a wonderful stay in the great house. The house is perfect except for the kitchen, which is in desperate need of an update, especially with new appliances. We loved the general layout of the house which allowed the kids to be upstairs and the adults downstairs. The elevator worked, which was huge! And, the porch & view were the best things about the entire place!I gave 4 out of 5 stars because the kitchen was such a nightmare to use. The stove was impossible, the bottom tray of the dishwasher always came off track with the dishwasher barely cleaning, and the freezer door always got stuck. If it had not been Thanksgiving it might not have been as big of a deal, but it made for a challenging week.

Truly beautiful, well laid out home! Beautiful large screened in back porch with plenty of seating. Large kitchen with utensils, pots and pans galore! While beautiful, the home does need updates to furnishings as couches and mattresses were HORRIBLE! The foundations under the mattresses were very LOUD and would wake you if you moved during the night. Also the private beach walkway was terrible! No handrails and part of it as you approached the dune was extremely high off the ground. Once you reached the dune you were in the sand climbing way up and then running over the top to get to the beach. We considered it to be dangerous for falls, splinters etc. Both neighbors on each side have brand new beachwalks that extend over the dune, and allowed us to use theirs. We enjoyed ourselves, but sure would have slept much better, and relaxed more had the couches and mattresses been updated and more comfortable. PLEASE invest in new couches, and mattresses!!

The location was great! You could easily walk or bike to stores nearby. It was beachfront, so the beach was similarly nearby. However, access to the beach was somewhat challenging because unlike all the properties on both sides of us which had nice steps & a hangout area to access the beach, the walkway to the beach ended before you got to the dunes & it was quite challenging climbing up & over as the sand was loose & slid down as you climbed & also made the way down a bit of a challenge. Particularly hard carrying a child or chairs. The house was nice & spacious, but for the price of $15,000 a week we definitely expected what you'd consider a luxury house & this house did not deliver! We rented a similar house on 41st a block from beach in 2019 for one fourth the cost which was updated & in so much better condition. The kitchen is badly in need of an update. The cabinets were scuffed & beat up. The waterflow in the sink was almost nonexistent. The refrigerator door was similarly showing age, both in appearance & the fact it wouldn't stay closed without a very stiff push. The lower part of the freezer would not keep things frozen. The stove had to be serviced while we were there & we had to reset the breaker several times. The dryer had to run multiple cycles to dry & the washer made a lot of noise & vibrated the upstairs on the spin cycle. Back porch was lovely, but similarly could use an update of stain or paint & cushions. House would have maybe been ok at a third of the price but could really use some updating!Absolutely would not recommend this property at anywhere near the price we paid!!

First, the stove top was not functioning properly. (We suggest it be replaced.) It was very difficult to operate and did not heat properly. Since we were only using the stove top for our breakfasts, it did not present a MAJOR problem, but we were definitely unhappy with it. Second, the elevator was malfunctioning, which was of great concern, as two members of our group were handicapped. After contacting Island Realty about the problem, they had one of their maintenance staff come to the property to verify our complaint. (We did not go out for dinner as planned, since we were not sure the elevator would be reliable to move between the first and ground floors. It would not go up to the second floor at all.) When the elevator technician came to the property the next day, he implied that we were not using the elevator properly and stated there was nothing wrong with it! Since I had emphasized the importance of having a functional elevator to accommodate our handicapped family members, we were extremely unhappy with the situation and the way it was ultimately handled. Would not recommend this property if any handicapped people in your party.

Although the house was terrific, we had two complaints. First, the stove top was not functioning properly. (We suggest it be replaced.) It was very difficult to operate and did not heat properly. The house was nice and the location was perfect. Our only complaint was the cooktop needs to be replaced.....all eyes did not function properly and the letters/numbers around the controls are mostly gone so it is a trial and error process in operating them. The water pressure in the kitchen was terrible. It was fine in all the bathrooms though.

So many nice touches within this house were somewhat tainted by problems. Primarily slow drains, slow hot water and a filthy vent system raised questions about proper maintenance. The biggest concern was the lack of towels and the tired and over used linens. Having said this, we had a wonderful time and would rent this house again. The amazing view of the ocean and proximity to everything we love to do on the IOP overrides the easily fixed problems.

Our family had a wonderful gathering during the week of Thanksgiving, the only gathering we've been able to have during this whole year of the COVID19 pandemic. The house was very accommodating and spacious.
When we arrived to fresh sheets were on the beds but blankets were still in large bags in closets all over the house we had to hunt for.Very lean towel allowance... The mattress in the master bedroom was like sleeping on a bed of jello. The kitchen is very tired, cabinets need painting, the disposal is ancient and stopped up the sink, the downdraft for the stove was totally unusable and smelled terrible. The is a house that is clearly heavily used but not maintained well. It's a shame because it's such an amazing location with a goreous view and access to the ocean. It seems the owners just get out of it what they can.
When we arrived to fresh sheets were on the beds but blankets were still in large bags in closets all over the house we had to hunt for.Very lean towel allowance... The mattress in the master bedroom was like sleeping on a bed of jello. The kitchen is very tired, cabinets need painting, the disposal is ancient and stopped up the sink, the downdraft for the stove was totally unusable and smelled terrible. The is a house that is clearly heavily used but not maintained well. It's a shame because it's such an amazing location with a goreous view and access to the ocean. It seems the owners just get out of it what they can.

This was our fourth stay at 2106 Palm Blvd and our eighth stay at IOP in January. It is the perfect elegant house for a week of relaxed beach living. Our group of 7 friends enjoy making art, eating out and long beach walks at this quite time of year. The location is awesome.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful oceanfront home. The home was lovely and so well appointed. The large screen porch is divine and the huge yard is great. Close to Mt. Pleasant, Charleston and other local points of interest.
