Terrific house in a great town.

Very New England area and this property is next to a marsh area so you feel you. are waterside. House is large and spacious,well appointed. It was a pleasure to be there.

I wish I could have given this property more than five stars! It’s a gorgeous home, private, conveniently located with amazing views! Surrounded by water. The home is immaculate, well equipped. The jacuzzi and MBR shower were luxurious. The beds are comfortable and the basement “rec room” was a bonus. My family and friends and I felt very blessed to stay here for 2+ weeks. Also of note….the property owner, Judy, is very responsive and helpful. Perfect vacation experience!

Beautiful house, right next to beach, great area.

Our family group of 6 stayed here for our sons wedding at Guildford Yacht club. The location could not have been better, the views are spectacular, the house is away from any traffic and is a bird watchers paradise. We had some relatives with children visit and Jacobs Beach is a 2 min walk away with play equipment and a splash pool as well as a lovely swimming beach. In addition, there is a ping pong table and lawn games available. The deck was perfect for a morning cup of tea or an evening glass of wine. Pa's place and the Lobster Pound are an easy 5 min walk away for local seafood. It's a 20 minute walk into town which is delightful. Judy was very responsive to our needs, her house is comfortably decorated as seen from the photos, with beautiful carpets and antiques. The kitchen has everything and more than you will need for excellent cooking including a wonderful cast iron griddle on the stove. And if it rains there are tons of boardgames to keep you busy. Bathrooms are well stocked with towels and all updated. Master bath has an amazing view over the water - as does the master bedroom. The fourth bedroom is on the first floor and has one twin bed and one trundle which was fine for the groom the night before his wedding and has it's own full bathroom opposite. Wifi worked great. Washing machine, iron and plenty of closet space! This house will always have special memories for our family - it's a beautiful home. Thank you Judy Andrea and Neal Brody

The setting of this home is amazing. A beautiful view of the water from all sides of this home. Lovely 3 sided deck with numerous places to relax. Our family throughly enjoyed this well kept home and the host was so accommodating. As we were attending our grandson’s graduation from Yale, it was a short drive to Guilford. We would highly recommend this home.

A beautiful home with fabulous views! Everything needed for any group to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities. Judy, the owner, was very pleasant and helpful!!!! We hosted a Wedding Welcome event in Branford and our son's wedding was at The Madison Surf Club. This home was a great location between the 2 venues.

My family and I stayed at this property for two nights for a family reunion. It was perfect for our needs. The property manager was extremely attentive and ensured the house was in great shape. The property was close to guilford and has wonderful views of the Long Island Sound. A huge bonus was the game room and our two boys (age 4 and 2) loved it. If ever back in the area, we’d definitely stay again.

The house is wonderful - well equipped and comfortable. The setting is spectacular and the views are beautiful from the wraparound deck. It's an easy walk to Jacobs Beach which is a great beach for young children, to the Lobster Pound, the Guilford Mooring and Pa's Place which has a great breakfast and lunch menu.

This was as nice as a vacation home can be. Beach across the street. Owner very responsive. Beautiful ocean views!

Wonderfully relaxing stay at the Connecticut shore. We enjoyed our family reunion and felt so comfortable in this very spacious house. Beautiful views from all windows and so close to the beach.

Views of marsh and water are great; house is large and comfortable. HOWEVER, shortly after we returned home, we received notice that property owner had filed an insurance claim alleging $1450 in damages to her dryer, which we had not touched, much less used, during our stay. The insurance claim is still pending. This was our first time renting with Vrbo and has left us understandably apprehensive about future rentals through the service, especially since we took care to leave the house in better shape than we found it.

The house matches the pictures online - beautiful views through the picture windows, decorated with antiques, and spacious, quiet bedrooms. The house is located on a quiet cul de sac between a public beach and another public park with beach frontage so plenty of spots to go for walks. We were there in early April for my mom’s birthday and even though it was cold, we enjoyed walking in the area, looking for birds and collecting shells. Guilford is a very cute historic area as well. Our host was easy to communicate with and we had a great time.

Spotlessly clean, lovely views, quiet neighborhood, well stocked kitchen. Easy walk to beach and marsh overlooks. We look forward to coming back!

Amazing views , beautiful property! We celebrated my 30th with a small group and everyone loved watching the sunset on the deck. We enjoyed lawn games and and use of the bocce courts at the local park. It’s a short walk into town where we had lunch one day. A wonderful place to vacation/ staycation in Connecticut.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. My family, which included my adult son and adult daughter, their spouses and my grandson, thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Beautiful views, especially from the side deck at sunset. Rooms are spacious, and the house is well equipped with just about everything you might want. About a 500' walk to Jacobs Beach, which is the community beach of Guilford. Ten minute walk to Guilford Mooring, nice casual seafood restaurant and bar at the local marina. The Village Green is about 1.5 miles away, so for many is a nice walk, or at most a short car ride. We found the people of the area very friendly. Our 9 month old grandson was with us, and if you have small children the house is not what I would call "childproof", but we assumed that going in, so no surprises. But with all the room, he really enjoyed crawling from room to room and exploring (with supervision close at hand of course). The master suite is very spacious and master bathroom is very nice. The upstairs bedrooms are also spacious. Kitchen is very well equipped. Because the house is situated near the end of the road, no real traffic to speak of except for people going to the small local beach or the other few houses in the immediate area. So the area felt very "safe". The beach has nice bathroom and changing facilities and had a lifeguard on duty. Another plus, no cost for out-of-town people if you walk in, only if you drive in and utilize the parking lot. The beach area also has swings and slides etc. for youngsters. In summary, highly recommend the property if you want great accomodations with beautiful surroundings.

Our stay at this property can only be described as perfect. My family and I all felt very much at home. The views are quite stunning and we all enjoyed the abundance of sea birds, particularly the family of ospreys. Many conveniences nearby. Highly recommend this property!

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters stayed at this fabulous property for a week last month and it was hard to leave. The views from the property are just breathtaking, and we watched the ospreys in their nest and an egret visited the yard regularly. My son-in-law got amazing footage of the ospreys with his drone camera. The house itself is beautifully furnished with antiques, but child-friendly too, with multiple couches, great reading / tv spaces, and fabulous rugs. The furnishings add ambiance from within to the magnificent views that surround you. The wrap-around deck is a great place to enjoy the view, but so is the dining room table, the master suite, or the bath tub while soaking in the evening. Our six and one-year-old granddaughters loved the adjacent beach and playground and one of my favorite parts of the trip was kayaking around the wetlands of the sound and the marina, where there are more osprey nests, birds, and beautiful views. It was great to not have to lug a boat along and just use Judy’s. The master suite is to die for and has fabulous panoramic views, a sumptuous sitting area, great walk-in closet and a shower and tub that are so therapeutic you can forego the spa treatments. It’s also a fabulous sanctuary apart from the communal areas of the home, allowing you to balance family and personal time wonderfully, even with two toddlers in tow. The town of Guilford is just darling and offers great shops and restaurants and Mystic is only an hour away, so the acquarium was a great rainy day activity. Judy is an accommodating host whose attention to detail will leave you feeling pampered and relaxed. The bedding, mattresses, and towels were luxurious and completed the fabulous feel of this vacation destination, which I highly recommend.

Stayed at this amazing home with my wife and 3 teenage daughters in summer 2017. Walking distance to the town beach and kayaking in the marsh outside the back door was phenomenal. This was a home much more than a vacation house with a beautiful kitchen, views to die for and furnishings that were comfortable in every room. Access to New Haven made this rental the perfect spot for a memorable family vacation.

This home was perfect for our destination family gathering for Thanksgiving. The surrounding area is quiet and quite beautiful, even on cold, rainy November days. The home itself was even larger than the pictures indicated and easily accommodated our party of seven adults and one child. The inside furnishings are warm, welcoming and even a bit eclectic but overall you quickly felt quite at home. The very well appointed professional kitchen and high-end bathroom fixtures were added bonuses. We highly recommend this property to families looking to spend some quality time together........we hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

Our 3 grandchildren, our daughter and her husband joined us for a great week at this very beautiful home in Guilford.The wraparound deck gave us an unobstructed view of the Sound with an active hawk's nest that was fun to watch; the gardens next door had spectacular flowers and bird feeders that attracted a wonderful variety of birdlife. It was hard to leave what felt like our own private nature park. The grandchildren (11 months, 2-1/2 and 12) loved being so close to the beach and a great playground, and the location of the house couldn't have been better. We were in close proximity to many great restaurants. We actually ate in many nights - the kitchen was so well equipped and the view from the dining room table couldn't be beat. We used the 2 available kayaks, and the kids enjoyed the ping pong table and the other games in the basement. Comfortable beds, clean and well appointed bathrooms and comfortably furnished family gathering areas made us feel very much at home. We had a great vacation and hope to return. The property owner was very responsive and lovely to deal with. You can't go wrong with this home! Our only criticism was that the amount of lighting in the living room area was a little too dim for reading in the evening. Everything else was fabulous.

A beautiful tastefully done home in a very peaceful setting. The property would definitely be top of mind should we ever find ourselves in the Connecticut Shoreline in the future.

My wife, two young sons and I had the great pleasure to rent this home in August of 2011. We arrived in the morning, sight unseen, and were immediately put at ease. It was immediately apparent that we were not to stay in a “rental property” rather a beautiful home with grand views of the long island sound. The pictures cannot come close to capturing the beauty and serenity of the spot. My wife and I spent many of our days across the street at a playground and beach, and our evenings enjoying the wraparound porch, enjoying the sunsets while our children played on the grass within view. The home is thoughtfully decorated with large windows, many views and is flooded with natural light. The master bedroom is enormous (close to the size of our NY apartment), the master bathroom hosts a Jacuzzi tub and a great shower. For those renters with children, there are dozens of toys and an entire library to enjoy. The owner was available for questions and a manager down the street checked in frequently. I was able to make use of the train station located just minutes from the house making my weekend trips to and from NYC a breeze. I could not ask for a better experience both in terms of the character of the home as well as its proud owner.

We had the pleasure of spending the fourth of july week at this comfortable and luxurious home. The house was very well equipped. We enjoyed watching multiple fireworks displays from the upstairs bedrooms. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the water was wonderful. We enjoyed the fireflies dancing in the yard during the evening. A very short walk out the side yard and across the road brought us to the city beach park with playground, volleyball court, and beach. We had the chance to talk the kayaks out onto the water. A short walk will bring you to several resturants at the marina. Our three kids, 3, 7, and 9, had a great time with the basketball hoop, ping pong table, TV w/ cable, and toys. Yes we're fortunate that there were lots of toys to keep our 3 year old boy busy. We had a great time and highly recommend this wonderful home.

We spent 2 weeks in July at this wonderful house. We were so sad to leave. The views are beautiful and serene. The house was very well equiped with books and toys for kids and even a ping pong table. The master bedroom is beyond spacious. The kitchen is state of the art. It was so nice to be so close to the beach and to town. We would rent this house again in a heartbeat. I have an 8 year old and 4 year old twins but it is perfect for all ages. The owner is lovely and so easy to work with. The house was very clean and well maintained. We wnet berry picking 10 minutes away, shopped at Bishop's Orchard everyday and just 2 minutes away is the marina with amazing lobster rolls and clam chowder. It does not get better than this.

My family and another (total of 4 adults, 4 kids under the age of 5) had a wonderful 4-day stay over New Years. The house is spacious, modern and in great shape, yet feels extremely cozy with all of the comforts of home. Excellent kitchen, dining area, living room with entertainment options, sleeping quarters and bathrooms all in a nice layout with lots of natural light and water views. Very close to charming town of Guilford, and less than an hour to outlets, Mystic (aquarium, seaport, etc.) and even Foxwoods/Mohegan. Also good outdoor space and short walk to a beach. Really nice place to spend the winter holidays and probably just as nice if not nicer in the summer months.
