The views from the home are even better in person. The house was amazing and everyone in the family enjoyed the stay. We loved the pool, so clean! The beach right in the back has lovely white sand. It is rocky so not swimmable. We were able to walk down to the Mauna Lani resort beach on the sand in the back and saw turtles. My only feedback is the internet issues. It was very spotty and if you have anyone in the group who needs to work, this can be an issue. Kathleen addressed it immediately by rebooting the modem but unfortunately for us it still didn't fix it and it remained spotty.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. There were 7 adults, 3 children between 6 - 9 and 1 baby 1 year old. The pool was a favorite with everyone. There was no longer a golf cart or a putting green which was listed when we rented originally last year. I would definitely recommend this property.

Relaxing and comfortable. We all had a wonderful vacation. There were ten of us, four generations from 9 months to 94 years old and the property was was perfect for all of us. Beautiful location and fun beach area. The house is gorgeous, spaciousness and well appointed while still feeling comfortable and like a home. Plenty of room for all to meet and also have some private time if desired. Quiet bedrooms that allowed for the late to bed and early risers to not interfere with each others rest.
The Outdoor space was where everyone spent 90% of their time. The property is beautifully landscaped, has AstroTurf lawn for activities and some great bird watching. The large covered lanai had a variety seating styles to lounge in and read the outdoor tables and bar could accommodate everyone for meals.
When not a at the beach or snorkeling, the hang out spots were large hot tub and pool that are accented by natural lava.... the only reason to leave the property was to explore the island.
The owner and onsite property manager were very responsive to all of our questions and requirements.
Just got home and we are already thinking about when we can organize a return trip. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Our family of 8 adults and three little ones (10 months - 3 years old) had a fantastic, week-long vacation at this spectacular home. The grounds surrounding this beautiful home offered outdoor living that was ideal. The pool, hot tub and lawn were enjoyed by everyone!
The house's layout and en suite bedroom/bathroom configurations provided extremely comfortable and separate accommodations for our four individual families. The house was well appointed, super clean and had all of the supplies we needed. It was evident that this property is maintained to a very high standard and is overseen by a very capable house manager who was helpful and readily accessible. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend quality time with our family. We ALL hope to return in the near future!

Absolutely gorgeous home on a private beach on the Kohala Coast. Two of the en-suite bathrooms had scalding hot water in the showers with no available cold water. The property manager had a plumber look at these showers and the problem will be fixed when parts are available. The putting green was unusable. We had a hard time leaving and promised ourselves we would return. Mahalo.

Really amazing location, very easy to communicate with house management staff. We had an issue with one of the keys on the first day but was addressed instantly even though late at night. Would definitely return. Great for family and kids.

A beautiful and private spot. House and grounds were great. Responsiveness from owner and property manager was excellent. Weather was just perfect. Good health club was right next door. Nearby dining options were excellent. Definitely a do over. Well done.

The house is perfectly located, beachfront, and steps from the Fairmont Orchid’s great restaurants. A mere 10 minute walk to the Canoe House, and about a 20 minute walk to Napua (both are spectacular restaurants.). The access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club and Pauoa Beach Club is such a special perk.
We were a group of 2 families with 4 adults and 4 kids total, and the house had more than enough space.
The large kitchen and great room allowed for wonderful family cooking experiences.
The communication with the property manager was great and the check-in and check-out process was seamless.
We will definitely book this property again!

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view....a true tropical paradise! Lovely pool and hot tub with great seating for large family to all enjoy the outdoors. Great room and kitchen are well appointed and comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Outdoor kitchen too! Bedrooms are ensuite and very comfortable and spacious. Could easily accommodate multiple couples/families and still have decent privacy. We would highly recommend. Kathleen, the property manager, was extremely helpful throughout and any issues/questions were handled promptly so as not to interfere with our stay. We feel fortunate to have spent two weeks living in this lovely home and enjoying the Mauna Lani community. Also, close proximity to airport and other fun things to do on the Big Island made this a great home for our visit.

This is an absolutely spectacular home in a wonderful location. We had 3 generations with 6 adults and 6 children and the home couldn’t have been more perfect. Plenty of rooms, beds, baths etc., a huge and functional kitchen and living area, and the most spectacular outdoor space with a beautiful pool and spa. Just steps from the beach, swimming, snorkeling and the beach club. It really could not have been a better vacation! Kathleen was a wonderful and responsive host. Thank you!

This property is large, well designed for large families and in a wonderful location. Having home facilities for cooking family dinners indoors and out works well. The grilling facilities are great. One drawback is that it is about 45 minutes to a supermarket. The local food vendors are extremely expensive.

We have been coming to the Big Island for a long time. This is by far the best house I have rented. Kathleen was helpful and attentive to our needs. Family Trip
This was such an amazing stay. I recommend the home for families with little kids. Having the pool and lawn area to play and hang out was such a plus. We did a lot of at-home cooking in the evening. The kitchen was fully equipped and the grocery store was close. The beach was a short walk from the home which made it very easy as we didn't have to lug a bunch of things back and forth for an entire day at the beach. The residential area was extremely quiet and peaceful for walks or runs. We would go back in heart beat. It was truly wonderful stay. Thank you Nathalie and team.

Great place for a family vacation. Space, home amenities, beach access, access to Beach club all top shelf. Back yard showing its age (artificial grass and putting green) but Pool and hot tub were great. Property could use a leaf blower since we had a lot of leaves and palm tree pods accumulate during our stay. (once a week landscaping timing didn't work out well for us.)
Property manager was super. Need to update directions sent out by VRBO (not Kathleen). The automated messages I got had incorrect directions. Managers directions were perfect.

Twelve of us (all family members) spent an unforgettable week at this home in Pauoa. We had 5 couples, a seventeen year old and a 5 year old (all family members). The house is enormous, with plenty of room for everyone to spend time together or find their own private spot. All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with the master, mini-master and the Ohana (guest house) really standing out. Each bedroom has a king-size bed. We used the den for the seventeen year old (has two day/twin beds). The five year old opted to stay in his mom and dad’s bedroom, which had plenty of room.
Four of the bathrooms had bath tubs in the attached bathrooms and several had Hawaiian out-door showers in addition to the inside shower. It is obvious that no expense was spared in the construction and furnishing of this beautiful, comfortable Hawaiian beach house. All of the linens and towels are top of the line.
The office (next to the mini-master) was a big help for people doing some work from “home.” There is a 2 person desk. A number of people shared the office at different times. There is also a desk in the master. Wifi worked fine with no issues.
The putting green was a big hit with everyone, with various contests taking place throughout the week. The 5 year old loved the koi pond, outside of the Ohana.
We wanted everyone to be able to eat at the same table and Kathleen purchased a couple of long tables and table cloths that were joined together. Otherwise, the largest table will accommodate 9 or 10. The pandemic was still on, so we generally had dinner at the house. We brought in a private chef one night (Chef Tapu) and his dinner was one of the best that I have had in Hawaii. We had one restaurant dinner at Brown’s Beach House (easy to walk to from the house).
We all used the beautiful Pauoa Beach club, next door. Even though the house has a huge, beautiful pool and outdoor area, it was great to have access to the lap pool and gym. There are a couple of Pelotons at the club which was important for some of the group. The lap pool is one of the nicest that we have ever used. There is also a kid’s pool with a sandy bottom.
I cannot overstate how perfect the location of the home is. We’ve stayed at several properties in Hawaii and being on the beach (versus driving to the beach) is huge. We also loved being able to walk over to the Fairmont Orchid and the Mauna Lani hotels. Snorkeling at both places was very good. Walking toward the Mauna

Fantastic Big Island Beach House
Twelve of us (all family members) spent an unforgettable week at this home in Pauoa. We had 5 couples, a seventeen year old and a 5 year old (all family members). The house is enormous, with plenty of room for everyone to spend time together or find their own private spot. All of the bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with the master, mini-master and the Ohana (guest house) really standing out. Each bedroom has a king-size bed. We used the den for the seventeen year old (has two day/twin beds). The five year old opted to stay in his mom and dad’s bedroom, which had plenty of room.
Four of the bathrooms had bath tubs in the attached bathrooms and several had Hawaiian out-door showers in addition to the inside shower. It is obvious that no expense was spared in the construction and furnishing of this beautiful, comfortable Hawaiian beach house. All of the linens and towels are top of the line.
The office (next to the mini-master) was a big help for people doing some work from “home.” There is a 2 person desk. A number of people shared the office at different times. There is also a desk in the master. Wifi worked fine with no issues.
The putting green was a big hit with everyone, with various contests taking place throughout the week. The 5 year old loved the koi pond, outside of the Ohana.
We wanted everyone to be able to eat at the same table and Kathleen purchased a couple of long tables and table cloths that were joined together. Otherwise, the largest table will accommodate 9 or 10. The pandemic was still on, so we generally had dinner at the house. We brought in a private chef one night (Chef Tapu) and his dinner was one of the best that I have had in Hawaii. We had one restaurant dinner at Brown’s Beach House (easy to walk to from the house).

The Vacation of a lifetime
We had an unforgettable 40th wedding anniversary celebration with our adult children and grandchildren at this spectacular home. The setting overlooking the ocean was breathtaking! In addition to stunning sunsets every evening, we saw a whale pod give us a show early one morning right out of our backyard. The home was stocked with everything needed for fun and adventure… Stand up paddleboard‘s, surfboard, beach chairs, golf cart, pool and sand toys, etc. Kathleen, the property manager was extremely helpful and attentive: delivering groceries, a chef, helped us find a rental car, a photographer & florist for our vow renewal ceremony, & securing all the necessary baby gear for our grandbabies. Nathalie, the homeowner, was a pleasure to work with as we had to reschedule due to the pandemic. She was generous and accommodating with the difficulties we were facing with the quarantine. We recommend this home without reservation and hope to return to make more memories!

The house is spectacular!
Our group loved the openness of this home. It was perfect for our group of 10 to enjoy cooking in the kitchen together. The location of the house right on the beach was fabulous for whale watching while hanging out by the pool. We would definitely reserve this house again!

Beautiful but needs some attention
The property was wonderful and the pictures properly reflect its beautiful features and furnishings. Our only disappointments were the gas grill and the exterior lighting. While the grill was repaired for us when we reported a problem it really needs to be replaced. The exterior lighting is in much need of attention. Many of the back garden lights were not working and all of the front garden and entry lights were in major disrepair, non were working. We were very happy with the house as a whole. The beds were very comfortable and bedrooms were spacious. The house is in a fabulous location and is beautifully appointed and has a open floor plan. It was also well stocked with dishes, cookware, glasses and serving pieces for the number of people it will accommodate. Our entire group is eager to stay at this house again. One of our best vacations!

Absolute Paradise
As soon as we walked in we knew this was going to be one of the best places we've stayed. The house is truly a home, not a vacation house. The views and setting could not be any better. The location is perfect, with plenty of options for eating out nearby. Nearby fish ponds and a scenic shoreline trail provided the perfect "I'm in paradise" kind of views on our morning walks. Kathleen, the concierge, was very helpful in assisting with finding activities and making reservations. We actually were originally only going to stay 6 nights, but extended it 5 additional nights.. It is hard to imagine finding a better place to stay. Thank you to Nathalie for allowing us the pleasure of staying in her beautiful piece of paradise.
