It was great love the place right on the ocean it was everything we wanted

Incredible location, view , beach, & set-up. Pool was fair..we knew it was a community pool, but other than 4 Adirondack chairs, there was nothing to make the pool inviting to hang out (probably the intent of the HOA I’m guessing). Surf City is a wonderful beach town and area with a good variety of restaurants and grocery stores . We would stay there again in a heartbeat except for the fact that the cleaning service was inadequate and kitchen utensils and pots/pans were all in fair shape. Nicely decorated, and you can’t beat the location…35 yds to the beach!

The condo was just as described. The property owner responded to any questions very quickly. We had a wonderful vacation. Would recommend.

Our stay was fabulous! The weather was perfect! Great family vacation with tons of memories made. Location was perfect. House was perfect. Everything we needed- and the ocean front views are the best! Enjoyed the conversations with folks I met at the pool. The owner is so easy to work with. Immediately returns our messages. I left a speaker behind and he worked with me so I could have his cleaner ship it back home. She did a fantastic job helping me out. Everyone was pleasant and we always enjoy the southern hospitality, that’s why we’ll be back! Thank you Ken!

A wonderful spot in North Topsail. It was completely as advertised, but be prepared for a couple of flights up to the top. The pool is tremendous and our five year old granddaughter loved it. Owners were easy to connect with an allowed us to stay for a late check out and helped us check in a little early which was great! Would definitely stay there again!

Their was a water main issue (no fault of owner) and we had no water. Not much water pressure for showers even after it was fixed. The owner said that was common on island. Never had that problem with other rentals on island.

Everything was detailed with instructions. Easy access and great communication. Beach was close and the view was beautiful. Enjoyed our time.

This was a great property for our family! The views are incredible, and you are pretty much on the beach. The pool is a little small for the community, but it was always warm and clean so not a big deal for us. The kids loved it. Location is right next door to Surf City Line which is delicious and across the street from a couple of bars which was nice for the adults who wanted to get out for a drink or two and come right back. All and all, our group loved Ken’s place and all said we would love to stay again.

Loved this unit. Plenty of room for everyone. We had 5 adults and 2 teenagers. Simple walk to the beach. Owner quick to respond.

We really enjoyed this home! The ocean views from the upper and lower decks were phenomenal! House had everything we needed and was a good setup for our family (two teenage kids and their friends).

Nice clean house with great views and access to the beach. Lots of stairs should be noted as a consideration for older renters.

This was my first VRBO experience and our first thanksgiving without my father-in-law. It was a fantastic experience. The property fit all six of us adults giving us the privacy we needed. The beach was beautiful and easily accessible. We were able to spend the time with our Marine son-in-law based in Jacksonville.

What a great location. Loved our 4 nights at Sea Star. Probably the best rental in Surf City. The right balance of having an upscale unit at a fair price. Thanks Ken.

Short walking distance to beach was ideal. Great property. Community Pool is small, but we were mostly at the beach so it didn’t really affect us. Highly recommend for easy access to beach

Great townhome with amazing views, clean, enough room for everyone to have their own space. My only downside was the pool. Very very small for as many occupants and the complex housed and hours were limited. Have teenage boys that enjoy hanging around the pool in the past and wasn’t able to do that this year. Overall place was really nice. Our weather wasn’t that great so that put a damper on our week as well.

6 of us stayed for the week in July. This view off the main family room was amazing! We didn’t use any of the kitchen items except for the Keurig, so I cannot attest to what was all there. It did look like a lot for those who cook on vacation. There are many steps, so if you can’t handle that you may want to look elsewhere. I appreciated them, it felt like I was getting a workout in each day. Lots of tvs throughout the condo. We mainly used the family room. For those of you that wanted to watch an old vcr tape you can do that as well. Lots of movies at the condo. Unfortunately, the sleeper sofa was not very comfortable. It should be replaced. There were 6 of us but only 5 seats - loveseat & couch. One of us had to sit on the extra dining room chair. With 4 bedrooms, there should be more comfortable seats. The location was great. A short walk out the back and you were at the beach, very convenient. The outside shower came in handy to rinse off before heading inside or to the pool. Restaurants were nearby and there was also one steps away from our condo. It had live music, but it never caused a noise problem. The pool was nice, small, but at times we were the only ones in it. It was always kept clean. Never heard any neighbors on either side of us. Good sound proofing in the walls.

Great location of condo with awesome ocean view. Rented bikes and loved the less populated road behind complex to ride on to get to business district. Disappointed with pool. Will definitely consider visiting again.

After reading the reviews and the communication I had with owner prior to renting this unit, I had high hopes of it being excellent and it was simply perfect!! Unit was in working order, very clean and wonderfully stocked kitchen. Beach access 10/10 Beds 10/10 Clear instructions from owner 10/10 TV 5/10, simply because a member of our party likes the evening news and we couldn't find a way to get it on Roku TV but lots of other choices! There are many of steep steps to navigate which was fine for us but if you have a person who has mobility issues it may be challenging. Overall rating 10/10! Would love to visit again. Ken and Carol were amazing from the start answering any questions we had! The property was amazing and the view of the ocean was breath taking. There are a lot of stairs ( which is expected) and the stairway is a bit narrow. Watch that step! Only downfall that I didn’t see in the details was that we needed to bring our own sheets and towels. It was completely fine, but was just extra stuff we had to pack. Surf City Line is a great little restaurant located right beside the property, but beware they do have live music especially on the weekends that is loud and has a tendency to run over the 10:00pm cutoff time. Made it a little hard to sleep. Overall, our family had a great time and hope to return!!

We are a group of former coworkers who get together once a month to enjoy the beach. Loved this location. Ken was great to work with and very attentive to any questions. We will definitely return.

This was one of the best places we have stayed in surf city. Will be our go to place for future endeavors. Property was lovely, location and proximity to the beach and amenities made doing things very easy. Property owner was very thorough and helpful. Top notch stay!

This townhouse was great for our group of 6 lifelong friends. We had great views, easy beach access, and lots of comfy bed space. The kitchen has great dishes and a Keurig. Our only complaint was that we needed more soft seating in the family room; there were 6 of us and only 5 soft seats.

Easy checkin. Comfortable clean and nicely decorated. Great location!

We were very pleased that the home was exactly as advertised. Beautiful home with great amenities and a beautiful view. The deck off the living room was my family's favorite hang out spot in the afternoon/evening. The house is also a short distance from some great seafood restaurants. We would definitely book again.

I was very impressed with this townhouse, it was impeccably clean. The kitchen was fully stocked, the most I have ever seen in a rental. The beach was beautiful and very easy to get to. Stores and restaurants are very close by. It was a very enjoyable long weekend.

We really enjoyed staying here. I used to have my own cleaning business, plus with covid, cleanliness was our TOP priority. All the bathrooms were clean, the kitchen was tidy and everything was organized. The views from the back balconies were very pretty and we saw dolphins several of the days we sat out there. It seems to be well maintained. The beach access is right outside the back of the condo so you just walk up a ramp and then you are at the beach. The only thing to be aware of for this property is that there aren’t any beach chairs or umbrellas to use like other properties have, or if they were there we couldn’t find them. Also there is a bar close by that plays very loud music until about 10:00 PM, after that it gets quiet though! All in all I would definitely stay here again, everything was clean, easy to check in and out, close to Surf City, and definitely walking distance to the beach.

The unit’s proximity to the ocean was incredibly convenient! It allowed my parents to come and go from the beach without hassle and stress (they are 77 & 88). We are foodies and the kitchen was soooo well stocked for meal preparation. We loved staying here and Ken was a wonderful host.

Great condo. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the ocean. It was well maintained and pleasantly furnished. There was a rather loud band that played right outside the bedrooms several nights. We had a great stay.

We had a great stay!! Beautiful location. Condo was very clean and updated. Kitchen had everything we needed ! Ken was very helpful to answer any questions . Convenient to restaurants and shops! Would highly recommend!!
