Kanaloa Kona on a gorgeous ocean beach!
Kanaloa à Kona est considérée par beaucoup comme la plus belle station balnéaire de la côte de Kona. Il se trouve sur une ancienne coulée de lave qui s'avance dans l'océan à environ 1/2 mile, séparant ainsi la station du bruit et de la circulation d'Alii Drive, avec une entrée par un quartier résidentiel calme. Toutes les autres stations balnéaires de la ville se trouvent juste sur Alii Drive. Le complexe est magnifiquement entretenu et est situé sur un terrain calme et paisible de 16 acres délimité par le parcours de golf Kona Country Club au nord, l'océan à l'ouest, la baie sereine de He'eia au sud. À distance de marche de toutes les activités de la magnifique baie de Keauhou et à moins de 800 mètres du centre commercial de Keauhou avec supermarché, pharmacie, soins d'urgence et de nombreux magasins et restaurants. En raison de la conception intégrée et de la faible densité de la propriété, elle a la sensation de "Old Hawaii", par opposition à des immeubles en copropriété ou à appartements avec quelques palmiers répartis.
Le complexe est une communauté fermée avec trois belles piscines, chacune avec jacuzzi, douche et vestiaires, deux courts de tennis éclairés, six barbecues et une réception avec un concierge très serviable de service pour vous aider. Le restaurant en bord de mer Kanaloa at Kona est à nouveau ouvert pour le service, proposant une cuisine raffinée en bord de mer à Keauhou au bord de l'eau. Il y a suffisamment de plages de classe mondiale le long de la côte pour que vous puissiez en explorer une différente chaque jour!
Le condo a été mis à niveau en 2015 et un nouveau tapis a été installé en 2018. Le condo a également des plafonds voûtés dans chaque pièce lui donnant une très grande sensation d'ouverture. Il y a trois lanais dans l'unité.
La véranda principale spacieuse est face à l'océan hors du salon et les deux vérandas arrière sont hors de la chambre principale et la chambre d'hôtes face aux montagnes. Nous gardons le condo rempli de tubas, masques, palmes, planches de bodyboard, flotteurs, serviettes de plage et une glacière afin que vous soyez prêt à commencer vos vacances dès votre arrivée!
Vous avez plusieurs options de restauration. Vous pouvez profiter de repas avec des sièges pour quatre à la table en verre dans la salle à manger ou vous pouvez profiter de vos repas en bord de mer sur la véranda principale. Vous pouvez également dîner à la petite table pour deux dans la cuisine.

Our family stayed at this lovely condo for 8 days in July/August and were impressed with the quality of furnishings, upkeep of the condo, and spectacular view. We paid for A/C and it kept the condo perfectly cool! The owner was also very responsive whenever we contacted him. If we ever come back, we would love to stay here again! Absolute paradise!

We stayed for a week. We had breakfast every morning on the lanai while watching people fish, swim and, when the tide was high, just listening to the waves move over the rocks. We saw sunset every night from the deck of the ocean pool and the air conditioning was a real plus for us! Our family had a wonderful time. It’s located close to lots of fun things to do. We would definitely stay here again.

Property is a bit dated and could use some upgrades, but the location makes up for it. The unit is located less than 3 min drive from a shopping center with everything you could need, including a grocery store and some great restaurants. Unit is located in quiet area that is close to snorkeling excursion pickup points, snorkeling beaches, and swimming beachs. The beach shown in the listing pics was within walking distance but was rocky and was rough while we were there. It wasn’t great for swimming, but we saw people snorkeling there. It was great drinking coffee on lanai and listening to/seeing the water. AC was must while we were there in July. Condo complex and pools were nice.

I’d like to make a review . we got here Saturday approximately 3 PM. Checked in without any issues but got inside the condo and it was hot. Very hot in here. This is not a central air conditioning unit. It has an individual units in the living room. It has a unit in the bedroom and one upstairs that you set to its own thermostat, it did seem to cool down relatively quickly after a couple hours. I just don’t understand why somebody couldn’t walk over here from the front desk and turn things on knowing that we were due here any hour . It does request that you take your shoes off, and we do take our shoes off at home, but this did not look as though it was as clean as it should be. The amount of dirt and debris on the ceiling fans was disgusting. I would not suggest turning them on. They haven’t been cleaned. mini cobwebs in the corners of the higher ceilings Upstairs, there are two single beds. Who ever is up there’s gonna be in a single bed. The bathroom seems to be riddled with termites as you can see the termite droppings from bathroom door, the molding and all of it being eaten away by termites. The upstairs actually had a sock left to the right of one of the twin beds, obviously from previous occupants. As far as towels, kitchen towels ..bathroom towels there are not enough towels here for six people if that’s who you plan on bringing six people you will not have enough towels or hand towels or kitchen towels. . Nice location, but disappointed in stay as the unit is really old and tired. Chipping paint, stained carpets, old furniture and decor. Mismatched towels, bedding, dinnerware. Fire alarm didn’t work and basic essentials missing.
Images on listing show queen in loft, but it was two twins. Says sleeps six, old mattress in closet. Had to wash sheets as they smelled like mildew.

Great location, beautiful views, needed deep cleaning, updates and really not room enough for 6 people even with 2 small childten. Overall we loved the place with the 3 pools, close to stores and restaurants. The grounds and pool area were spotless including the gas fireplaces for bbqing. We would go back to this place. We loved staying at this property! The views off the main lanai are incredible - there is a lovely cove where you can listen to the ocean and birds singing while drinking your morning coffee or sipping your evening cocktail. There is tons of room, the condo was very clean, the beds comfy, and the air conditioning kept us cool. Not only that, but the entire property is really lovely and away from the hustle and bustle of town, so you are close to amenities but far enough away to feel like you have a peaceful setting. And there is an incredible ocean front pool that our kids played in every evening (and it offers incredible sunset views). Thank you, thank you, thank you to the property owners. We would love to return.

The unit is second floor, more stairs to living area and another set to 2nd bedroom. Our group was all over 65.
2nd bedroom wall is also open to living room below, so not much privacy. Appliances are old, stove did not work very well. The complex is nice, mostly quiet and great views. Really enjoyed the ocean pool and the condo lanai.

Our November stay was fantastic. Owner and manager were super in multiple ways. Our unit was close to two pools and had a very nice bay view. The kitchen was well stocked. A bonus was three air conditioners for our use as needed. We look forward to returning in the future.

Clean, and Comfortable is just the start of this excellent home. The home is well-appointed with everything you need. Fantastic location on the resort with a direct view of Keahou Bay from the lanai! Parking spot is right at the stairs, main pool is just across the drive. The entire Kanaloa at Kona Resort is clean, well-maintained and beautiful. A great place for you Hawaiian stay.

The condo was spacious and we enjoyed morning coffee and ended the evening on the lanai listening to the sound of the water. The condo does get warm during the day, even with the AC, but cools down at night. We would stay here again as the property is gorgeous, with restaurants, grocery stores and shopping nearby. Another plus was the snorkeling gear, beach chairs and towels.

This condo is amazing! We had everything we needed and more! There was a slight issue with the air conditioning, but Rita had an electrician come out right away and it was fixed and VERY comfortable. Beds are also very comfortable. Location is perfect, away from the hustle of Alii street, but very close to everything. The bay is awesome, lanai perfect for morning coffee listening to the waves hit the shore. This was our very first time on the Big Island and we definitely will be back. We won’t think twice on renting this condo again.

My friend and I really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood of this property. The unit is large. There were only 2 of us but I could see it still being spacious with a few more people. We thought the beds were comfortable and enjoyed the a/c. The view from the living room lanai was beautiful. We enjoyed having dinner out there every night. I had very good communication with Steve (the owner). There is an easy walk to the marina, which is picturesque, from the property. We used the Quiet/Adult pool a few times when we didn't want to go to the beach.
Everything seemed well maintained. Property is also a 5 minute drive to a grocery store and pizza place. We used both. The property is gated which is nice. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved how comfortable this condo was for family of 2 kids, and 4 adults. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the beautiful lanai and the fully stocked kitchen for meals at home. We couldn’t figure out how to get the ceiling fan on the lanai to work, but other than that, we loved this vacation.

We have stayed at Kanaloa multiple times and find it to be one of the best vacation condos in Kona. Kanaloa is in a great location on the waterfront within walking distance of snorkel beaches, shops and restaurants. The units are roomy, clean, quiet and nicely furnished. Most of the units have central air conditioning which is a must in the summer months.

I let the owner know a year ahead of time that I was shortening my reservation by two weeks.Instead of 7 weeks we would be staying 5 weeks. He wrote back and said that it was too hard to get VRBO to change the reservation and that he would fix it before the final payment was due in Dec. I wrote him Dec 1 and reminded him of this and got nothing back. So VRBO was going to charge me for the whole 7 weeks. After arguing with VRBO and the owner they both said all I could do was cancel my reservation completely. This was 3 weeks before we were coming to Hawaii-----if the owner didn't want to rent to us for the same price there is nothing with VRBO that says he has to so we would be out of a place to stay. Because there wasn't any other places to rent at that late date I just had to leave it and basically was out $2700. A complete rip off!!!!
The unit itself is old like much of Kanaloa is. The shower downstairs was just hanging there and not attached at the bottom. The AC worked ok in the LR but was not real cold in the bedrooms. The kitchen was ok but very dark.The view was nice but the deck furniture uncomfortable. There is also many stairs just to get to the front door and many more to get to the upper bedroom. Not fun with luggage and groceries. I would not stay here again.

This place was wonderful. My kids loved going to one of the 3 pools in the neighborhood. There was plenty of snorkeling gear for all of us. The location was perfect, just a short drive from down town Kona. There’s a fairly large shopping center just a mile or so from the condo that has anything you could need as well. Kitchen is well stocked, plenty of beach towels and very comfy rooms.

Had a very nice stay in this condo. Enjoyed sitting out on the lanai watch the waves crash in the little bay. The resort area is clean and well kept. Pools are not too busy and it is easy to get out to town in a few minutes. A good spot that close enough to everything and yet private.

This condo is sturdy built and very quiet. Unit faces a rocky beach inlet to the ocean, but not directly west so the sun does not impact the lanai. Unit is large for the price. has 3 lanais. Everything worked. Tv/cable simple to operate. Glad we paid extra for the aircondtioning. The Ocean View pool was very nice. Waves crashing, spraying up while relaxing by the pool. Overall good experience!

The lanai/view is the best part of this rental. The location of the property is ideal for this island, centrally located and enough off the main roads that it doesn’t feel congested or crowded. The condo was centrally located to all we did on the Big Island. Shopping center just a mile away, Kona just 5 miles up the road. Snorkeling options within walking distance or a mile away. Coffee on the balcony every money was the best.

Paradise….
The owner was responsive and helpful. The added extras were appreciated however, one pair of fins broke so we purchased and left a new pair. Also a beach chair has a broken arm but still works. The 2 bedrooms were perfect for 2 couples. And of course the view was fantastic! We hiked down to the “cove” often to see beautiful fish life. Thanks for sharing your lovely place.
