Amazing Sunsets • 280 Ft. Shore • 2.5 Acres • Great Cottage!
Cette maison de ranch bien construite se trouve sur 2. 5 beaux acres boisés et privés. L'intérieur de la maison est principalement en bois magnifiquement conçu. Il y a deux chambres et aussi 2 grandes chambres! Deux chambres de 25x25 pi avec plafonds cathédrale et beaucoup d'espace ouvert. Dans l'une des grandes chambres, il y a une porte pour l'intimité et un canapé-lit queen-size. Dans la grande salle principale, il y a un lit de jour double sous une fenêtre. 2019 nouvelle salle de bain! Cette maison se trouve avec les plus belles vues sur les eaux de Green Bay. Exposés directement à l'ouest, les couchers de soleil les plus incroyables sont juste devant votre porte et peuvent être vus depuis la chambre principale, la salle à manger et 2 grandes chambres.
Chaque année, nous aimons surprendre nos clients de retour avec quelque chose de nouveau. Plus récemment, la moquette a été enlevée pour exposer de magnifiques planchers en érable, une laveuse et une sécheuse, de nouveaux terrasses, de nouveaux meubles, un nouveau toit et bien plus encore!
Il y a une grande véranda avec une table à manger et un grand canapé. Il y a une terrasse en plein air spacieuse qui fait face à l'eau attachée à la maison. Il y a une autre grande terrasse à mi-chemin jusqu'à l'eau, idéale pour manger en plein air. Ensuite, il y a un 3ème pont au bord de l'eau, parfait pour regarder les couchers de soleil incroyables. Il y a aussi des marches pour accéder à l'eau de ce pont.
Cette maison se trouve sur une colline vallonnée remplie d'herbe qui vous mène aux 280 pieds de front de mer privé. Cette plage se compose de petits et grands rochers. Idéal pour la baignade car il y a une belle roche de plateau pour marcher dans l'eau. Il y a aussi une belle dépose d'env. 50 pieds, idéal pour la pêche, la plongée ou la plongée en apnée.
Vous verrez des bateaux de pêche à distance car c'est une zone populaire pour le saumon ... vous pouvez les voir, mais ils auraient du mal à vous voir. Cette maison est dans un cadre privé avec beaucoup d'arbres matures.

This is a wonderful cottage with terrific lake front access for kayaking, swimming and lounging by the waterfront. Very thoughtfully and thoroughly appointed kitchen and lovely bathroom. Owner was very responsive with communication requests.

We enjoyed our stay, despite very hard twin beds and uncomfortable seating. We had to bring our own sheets and towels. There were lots of signs with dos and don’ts around the house. We did our best to comply.

This was a beautiful place on Washington Island. With lakeside views, a firepit, comfortable furniture, supplied kitchen, etc, it was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. The property manager made the experience so easy with little to no stress. Definitely will be returning!

Had a wonderful experience with the property and the stay. The host was very communicative and helpful with the island process. She kept our group in the loop about bad weather limiting travel to and from the island, allowing us to keep on schedule. Very kind and thoughtful throughout the whole process. Property was clean with plenty of amenities and space for our group. Modern bathroom was great for our group. The water was pretty choppy on the beach for this property through our stay, compared to other places on the island, but still enjoyable to take in and relax. I would absolutely recommend for anyone new to Washington Island to have a nice getaway.

We are frequent visitors to Washington Island and this year we decided to book the Funk Cottage. We loved it! Great, very clean and had a well-equipped kitchen, complete with spices, and every pot, pan, dish, glassware you can imagine. Cooking was a breeze in the kitchen. Lots of choices of where to sleep, but we picked the comfy beds. The newly remodeled shower was beautiful. We had two days of magnificent biking, then two days of rain, but we brought books and cooked and still had a great time. And, how many cottages come with an organ?? Seriously. A real organ! That raised the cottage to a whole new level. We already booked it for next year and plan to master both "In the Gadda la Vida" and "Smoke on the Water." Thank you Amy!

We absolutely loved everything about this cottage. The sunsets were gorgeous. We had an eagle fly by a couple of times. A heron flew by like clockwork every night as the sun was setting. We rode our bikes around the island and spent one day exploring Rock Island. The weather was perfect. We look forward to coming back.

We had a great week at this lovely property. Staying on island for a week was a change of pace from our usual Door County vacations. After a couple days of exploring the island, we came to realize that hanging out here was our favorite way to relax. The swings, hammock, decks and firepit all were situated so that the lake view could be maximized. Great wifi. Comfy beds. Would love to return someday.

Great R & R Retreat
the pictures of the interior of the property and the sunsets were greatly under represented. It was far more than expected. It was peaceful and relaxing and the location relative to everything on the island was fantastic. Would definitely do again.

Cozy cottage on the pretty shore! Sunsets and stars!!!!
Absolutely loved it! It is a cottage on a lake. Lots of room for family or friends. Returning to the island, this was something new and different for us this time. We usually camp in tents/cars.
Wood to burn and time to kill is all you need.
Two cozy separate rooms that sleep 4 people and can sleep additional 3 adults in other rooms was very convenient. Newly remodeled bathroom with a walk in shower was great! Lots of space for your belongings and absolutely gorgeous outdoors!!! 2 wooden swings, a hammock, two (or was it three? Lol) decks and seating around the fire pit. And lots of big rocks to chill on by the water!!! We sun bathed on the lounge chairs and played croquet.
Private drive and privacy all around makes this original cottage a great retreat to the past.
Kitchen to cook in and closed in porch to enjoy your meals with family. Lots of fans throughout the cottage to keep you cool and other supplies that come handy, like cleaning products. Oh and kitchen has it all to cook and dishes, etc. We shopped at Mann’s grocery store and stayed in to make family breakfast.
Will definitely book again!

Relax and get away
This is a beautiful home; spacious and inviting. A short bike ride from the best coffee shop and ice cream shop. The host was very responsive, even stopped by to help access Netflix. My family highly recommends this home.

Beautiful property, better than advertised. The only thing that would have made the stay better is not having to worry about the garbage and having wood for the fire pit. Those are very minimal though, compared to our wonderful vacation.

What a great place for a getaway! The house was so cozy and eclectic and the property was beautiful. So many great little touches around the house that we have not found in other places (sunscreen and bug spray, extra fans in nearly every room, etc) made it that much more inviting. All of the communication before and during our stay made it a breeze! I would absolutely recommend this property!

The sunset view is the best. Comfortable home and very well stocked. Having the doors to close off one great room made wrangling toddlers much easier. New bathroom and kitchen appliances were very nice. Only complaint was the kitchen was dark. Wish the lighting in that room was better.

Special Memories
The pictures did not do justice to the cabin. It was spacious enough that everyone had space to be alone when wanted, but it was somehow cozy at the same time. The décor is warm and inviting, the perfect mix of cabin comfort with a few well appreciated modern touches (WIFI!)
The view of the bay from the deck was mesmerizing. You could sit on the deck, the swings, the hammock, or go down to what my son called the "secret beach." It was so quiet and peaceful. We knew there were neighbors, but it was easy to fell as if we had this corner of the island to ourselves.
I almost hate to bring more attention to the place so we can continue to book the cabin, but it was the best vacation we have ever had. Amy was gracious and very responsive .

A great week on the island!
We had an outstanding stay at this home on Lake Michigan. We parked the cars after the ferry ride and never used them again for the week. We had a great time biking, exploring, and swimming. Perfect weekend getaway
Stayed for a long weekend and could not have been happier. Great Lake front property that is well kept and has plenty of seating to enjoy the view. Sunsets were amazing and had a great view of the Milky Way. I overlooked the special provisions in the agreement about the use of the linens due to COVID so make sure you check that out. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and would love to stay again.

Perfect weekend
We had a wonderful stay at this property Sept 17 to 20, 2020 during COVID. Very private. Clean. Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, dinnerware, utensils, etc. It was easy and a pleasure working with Amy. She is very responsive. We visited several restaurants and stores. All very respectful with masking. Friendly and helpful residents. Made our tour around and criss crosssed back and forth across island. Just beautiful. Hope to return for another visit.

Read the description from the owners and that is exactly what you are getting when you arrive here. The pictures are very accurate. The lakefront I feel is even more beautiful than the pictures show.
Overall, the house was clean. The kitchen had new appliances and having a washer and dryer was very helpful so that we could wash our towels during the week.
The brand new bathroom was extremely nice. Love the rain shower head.
We had a great week exploring the island and meeting the locals. Had many wonderful meals with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Communication with Amy Jorgensen was easy. I had many questions which she answered quickly and thoroughly. I really appreciated that. One last thing, the sunsets are beautiful from this property. Make an effort to use the fire pit you won’t be sorry.
