We had a terrific stay, saw Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, biked the Mickelson Trail and visited Custer State Park. It was awesome.

You need to go by the directions you are given as google took us a block off. We were greeted by the local deer with babies. They visited daily. The open floor plan is nice. The house was clean, the beds are comfortable, fridge is cold. We never did use the hot tub, but I'm sure it would have been great. Our cars were under a carport too. I would definitely visit again.

Our family enjoyed the house and the location to so many South Dakota attractions.

This home was perfect for our stay. We wanted to be close to the many national parks and this house allowed us to come and go very easily. This house had everything that our family needed. The home had great updates, the hot tub was great after busy days and the carport was nice bonus when it hailed hard one evening.

Loved how close we were to town. Walked there each evening for dinner or ice cream. Clean and lovely little home.

It looks like a small home from the outside, but it's a beautiful cabin inside. Great location on the edge of town and near all the local attractions.

Just what our family of 4 needed as we passed through town! Everything was as reported or better!!

The house overall was great and cozy. We didnt spend a to of time here except at night. It is small so it has cozy feel but I will say if you have a larger group of adults/kids not alot of space in brs or lrs so keep that in mind. Not alot of privacy in backyard with a hot tub so keep that in mind as well. Covered parking was a plus. Ovellall For what we used it for it worked perfect for us.

Our experience at this property could not have been any better. With all the wooden details inside the house, it is very idyllic. The backyard is spacious, and you never have to worry about the South Dakota hailstorms, as your car(s) will be safe under the spacious car-cover. The property manager was easily reachable and very responsive, though there were no issues that had to be taken care of. The house was clean, and was stocked with everything you might need during your stay. All you need to bring is food and you will have a blast! Thank you for a wonderful time.

Jeri was super accommodating. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we could need during our stay. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Location was fantastic and close to everything we wanted to see. We even got to see wildlife right in the backyard.

Go to Lynn's Super Valu and buy a Choice Ribeye and cook it on the wonderful grill at this property. There is some magic there!

This little house was sooo comfy & cozy - clean, well-appointed & convenient to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, all the Black Hills’ attractions & even close enough to Devil’s Tower in eastern Wyoming. A GREAT place for a couple or two.

This house is unassuming outside but very nicely outfitted, clean and cute inside. Great location for Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park, all within about 30 minutes. Hot tub is great after a day of hiking. Close to the downtown of Custer (walkable if you’d like a bit of a hike). Not far from HIll City for other food/brewery options. No hesitation to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this house in Custer, SD. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, it was close to the town's Main Street for quick access to groceries and restaurants, plus the west entrance of Custer State Park, plus all the other great things to do see and do in the area.
The house was clean, nicely furnished and had plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the shower (always a plus in my book)! I would definitely stay here again.

Home is in a geat location to visit all of the parks, attactions and monuments. AC works quietly and kept us comfortable (we did leave the bedroom doors open at night). Home is well supplied.

Property worked well for our family of three - well equipped and great location close to all the things we wanted to visit but also very peaceful. Loved watching the deer from the patio and vultures coming into roost.

We were pleasantly surprised to see the double car coverage, what with the occastional summer hail.
The Micelson Trail passes were also a nice touch.k
We have twice had VRBO stays in Custer, but yours is now #1 on our preference list.

Enjoyed our trip to the Black Hills. This property was perfect for our small family and centrally located to our activities. Stayed over the 4th of July and had a great view of the city’s fireworks from the driveway!

Two couples came to hike Custer State Park. This VRBO location was ideal. Very clean. Comfortable beds. After all-day hikes, the hot tub was awesome! Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Neighborhood is silent at night--we slept with windows open. Check-in was easy and accurate with door code and wi-fi password. Great restaurants in Custer: Mt. Rushmore Brewing Co, Sage Creek Grill, and Begging Burro. We had a great time. Highly recommend this rental.

We enjoyed our stay at the Creekside Custer cabin. It was clean, well maintained and the owner provided us with ample supplies. The hot tub was a big hit. The cabin is conveniently located to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, and Mount Rushmore. It is also close to the restaurants on main street. The bedrooms and bathroom are a little snug, but nothing that would keep us from staying here again.

My wife and I booked a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and a birthday. The outside of the property doesn't do justice to the remarkable interior, which is much more like a cabin than the outside presents. Wooden floors and walls, great natural lighting and tall ceilings in an open floor plan made us feel so welcome and comfortable from the first time we entered. The home is much larger than we anticipated due to the well used space. We ended up spending much more time at the property than we originally intended. The hot tub, on a cold winter day, was just what the doctor ordered. We give this property 5 stars with no hesitation. Don't pass up this gem. We will definitely be back!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here during thanksgiving this year, and absolutely loved it. So much that this will likely become a yearly tradition of ours! When we arrived there was a small heard of white tails in the yard and paid us no mind as we carried out stuff inside. The next day a flock of turkeys were hanging in the yard (a little too confident being that it was thanksgiving morning, lucky for them the house is in the town of Custer and I don’t have a SD hunting license lol). This time of year wildlife can be seen all over the area, even just walking down Main Street in Custer or hill city. The cabin is very close driving distance to large tourist attractions such as Crazy horse, Custer state park, Needles highway, big Iron highway, and Mt. Rushmore. The cabin itself was very cozy, VERY clean, and had everything we possibly needed to have a good Thanksgiving there. The hot tub was also phenomenal, and a perfect way to end our nights after exploring all the area has to offer during the days. My only criticism of the entire stay would be is that I wish there was some sort of privacy screen that could be pulled down to block views of the hot tub from the road or other houses, but this is just a minor complaint and not a big deal at all. All of the neighbors seem to keep to themselves anyways and there are only a hand full of houses beyond this cabin so virtually no traffic on the road anyways.
Bottom line 20 stars out of a possible 10. Would highly recommend to any friends or family looking to visit the area, and we will be returning at least once a year from now on!

Very clean and well stocked. Located right off the bike trail. Local deer and turkey will visit you everyday. Nice newer hot tub that will easily fit 5 people. Great location for exploring the black hills.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The house was very clean and the perfect size for us. The cabin felt secluded but was still close to all of the major attractions in the area. The hot tub was an added bonus and was very clean as well. We contacted the hosts a couple months before our stay to ask if they had a pack and play available and they provided one for us that was nice, clean, and I’m pretty sure it was brand new! I can’t speak for the room on the right since that was the toddler’s room, but the bed in the first room was very comfy. Thanks for such an enjoyable stay!

Well stocked kitchen
Small but well laid out and comfortable for 4 adults
Custer is a nice little city with decent shopping & the historical society buildings were much more interesting than we thought it would be.
House was NOT as clean as we would have liked. Bathroom floor was gross but the shower was clean. Curtain covering water heater was filthy as were the curtains, window ledges and side tables & lamps in 1 bedroom. I took down and waserhed the curtains from bathroom and bedroom. Vaccummed the walls and whole bedroom. NIce washer and dryer. Hot tub had quite a lot of scum in it even after we attempted to clean it and ran it with powdered solution they left on the desk for us. Sadly we chose not to use it except to soak our feet after shopping and sight seeing. Overall a nice experience but no communication with owner or staff about problems. Would definately go back as the kitchen and front rooms & 1 bedroom were nicely clean,,, as long as the brown curtained bedroom , bathroom and hot tub were addressed.

Great home base for Black Hills
Clean and centrally located cabin for exploring the Black Hills. Host is quick to respond to questions too. Great place to rest at night between excursions. Cabin gets warm during the day during the heat of the summer, but lots of ceiling fans and opening windows in the evening helps cool it down.
