We love the San Juan islands and this property!

The view was gorgeous, we enjoyed the birds and deer even came into our backyard. The kitchen was very well equipped, even every spice and herb you could want. The furniture is dated by some people's standards, but it actually added to the mid century charm and was comfortable. But the rental fees, the non-refundable damage waiver fees are absurd. The non refundable damage waiver is not actually a waiver as you cannot waive it. Their reasoning is you don't have to worry if you break something. I'd rather have the money and a little worry. Charge a security deposit and refund it if the property is left in good shape.
The website is not welcoming and the tone of the management is snappy. The list of rules, dos and don'ts, and" the owner is not responsible fors" is extensive and takes away from the anticipation of the booking.
This review would have been much higher if the fees and punitive nature of the management company were more reasonable.
Go to San Juan island but stay in a hotel.

Breathtaking views! Our family slept comfortable. Unfortunately there were Cobb webs all over the downstair towels. Which concerned me how often it had been cleaned. Disappointing for how much we paid to not have it cleaned. I also reach out to the rental company and there was no apology which was interesting to me. The location is quiet and away from the crowds. You will have to drive for food and shopping but it was nice to sit in the living room and watch the orcas swim bye. It would have been helpful to have a local lists of places they would recommend.

Girls trip to San Juan Island was perfect with the lovely whale viewing house on the west side of the island. The relaxing views of the water, whales, sunsets, birds and ships going by kept us entertained for hours. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, well laid out and had everything we needed for our four day stay. I would highly recommend this property!

It’s difficult to imagine a more perfect spot from which to enjoy nature. We saw orcas and bald eagles from the dining room and sea lions in nearby Kiln Park. If you keep the bird feeder on the rear deck full with the supplied wild bird food, you’ll be rewarded with a steady stream of gorgeous finches and sparrows. The house itself was exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

Great location, nice, clean place. We had plenty of room for all six of us; however, the hot water is very limited. Showers were about five minutes. Other than the water issue, I would recommend this rental.

We were able to find the property, check in and get settled with no problem! I had to call for some help on the minisplit unit in one bedroom and them PM's were so helpful and available. Our daughter is only 1 and it was great for little kids, and our older son had space to play inside and out. We loved the discount for kayaking too! It was a great home to spend a week with family. We had friends come for dinner one night and it was a perfect space to hang out with a group for a fun night. The house had everything we needed and it was nice to be out of town a bit, but still such a quick drive into downtown Friday Harbor. The view was STUNNING and we saw otters, seals, eagles, and foxes right from the porch! We will definitely be back!

The view is everything that was advertised and the kitchen area was terrific for gathering and spending time with family. However, I wouldn't go back. We took brief showers, but only one person had hot water -- it ran out almost immediately. The beds were well worn and lumpy. The house was clean, but there was a bit of a musty smell that permeated. A tankless water heater and new beds are in order for this location. Frankly, I expected more for the money.

The house is located with an excellent view of Haro Strait and the deck is great for an evening meal. We've vacationed several times on San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez, and think this was one of the best places we've stayed. My only caution might be renting this house during warmer months. Almost none of the windows open, so towards the end of the day the west facing living room/bedrooms can get pretty warm.

Super clean and comfortable property, amazing view, right up the Strait from Lime Kiln State Park. We saw two pods of orcas, J and L, a Minke whale, sea otters, porpoises, and lots of jumping salmon. We truly hope we get the opportunity to visit again next summer.

The house gave you easy access to all the parks and marinas. Sitting on the deck was peaceful and rejuvenating. Seeing the Orcas one evening was a plus as well. Highly recommend.

Easy to find and access. View is spectacular. We saw porpoises and seals and whales. A mama deer and her baby were just hanging out in the yard. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment you need and there’s even a spice drawer! Beds were comfy and open windows helped keep the place breezy and cool. Basement bathroom sink was clogged, but we just used the sinks upstairs so it wasn’t a big deal. Property manager addressed it promptly, however, and offered to send someone out. The island is incredible and we had an amazing time exploring. Will definitely be back.

Ample room for our family with a great view and modern features. We spent the weekend here and were very pleased with everything. Binoculars and telescope were lots of fun and there were plenty of games to be played. A stairway down the cliff let us get to the water for some great sunsets. Lots of screened ventilation meant we went to bed to the sounds of the waves and woke to birdsong. We would absolutely stay again.

Amazing sums up the trip. We saw orcas on two different days, once just a few hundred feet off shore. Plus otters, seals and birds all from the deck. Watching the cargo and cruise ships was also fun. Our boys loved the game closet. The house was well maintained and stocked--we've stayed in several VRBO homes and this one was great!

A beautiful location and our second year at this spot. So I was surprised to find hand soap that was watered down, a toaster that did not toast and a coffee maker that took 20 plus minutes to make 2 cups of coffee. The TV appeared to offer many stations but all appeared to require an extra charge. We brought our ROKU and connected to the system.
The house rental cost increased 40% from last year, yet the owners appeared to do nothing to improve/ maintain their home.

A Whale of a Time!
A comfortable home, in a secluded part of San Juan Island with a magnificent view of Vancouver Island, and incredible wild life! Phone and TV reception can be "iffy" and I would recommend that renters bring a roku for rainy days and week-end football.

Magical stay on San Juan Island
Our stay at this beautiful house on San Juan Island was absolutely wonderful. The location was amazing, couldn’t have been better. The layout of the house was perfect providing plenty of space and privacy for two couples. We all left feeling like this was the highlight of our trip to Washington. We would definitely return given the opportunity.
