We didn’t want to leave as soon as we pulled in the driveway! Such a special, beautiful and peaceful property! The hosts feel like family. The trails and detail of the property make it even more of treasure!

I cant say enough great things about this property. The hosts were very nice! Great communication and easily accessible if I had any questions. The property is stunning. So serene & perfect! It was the best relaxing vacation. We will be back many times!

Patty was a wonderful hostess, actively engaged in questions we had. The property is beautiful, located right on a creek with a smaller creek flowing right next to the cabin. There is a large meadow and two smaller meadows that were nice to wake up to each day. We made use of the fire pit and the trail that is located on the property right behind the cabin. The cabin was uber clean and comfortable. The location is close to everything we wanted to see including downtown Pickens, the HUGE flea market on Wednesday, Table Rock Tea Company and Table Rock State Park, Sassafras Mountain, Easely, Greenville, etc. We had a big time and thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful cabin as our base point.

This cabin and property were such a beautiful place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life! Our young children explored the property for hours on end. The cabin was the coziest! Clean and comfortable for our family of 5. The host’s kindness and generosity surpassed all expectations of any VRBO we have ever used. Would highly recommend!

Stunningly beautiful! This secluded cabin in the mountains was the perfect spot all the way around! It was within a short travel distance of everything we wanted to see while we were visiting and the easy access in and out of the property was a total bonus! Mrs. Patty and her husband work very hard to maintain the property for people like me to come visit and it 100% shows! The proof is in the guest book, just flip through the many pages of past guest experiences and you will feel as though you were there with them to experience what they were, then get to have the experience for yourself. The pride they take in the property is immediately noticed as soon as you pull up to the front gate that was so lovingly constructed! I don’t think there’s a better location where we could have stayed. Plan on returning and recommending to anyone I know! Thanks for a great stay!

This private cabin was beyond amazing! Pictures do not do it justice. It has a magical fairy vibe with the streams and ponds right outside. We will def be back again!

Perfect location in Upstate SC! The property is gorgeous with streams, ponds, waterfalls and even a covered bridge. Multiple spots for communing with nature and counting your blessings. Cozy little cabin with all the amenities and hundreds of kids dvds and their owned playroom! Beautifully restored and landscaped. Our happy place 😊

We came for a wedding and got so much more. The cabin was beautiful and the sounds of the stream running by the cabin and throughout the entire property was wonderful to wake up to and go to sleep by. So peaceful! The ponds and bridge was a great please to sit by and relax. The bride saw the property and had the wedding party came by just to take photos by the bridge and pond. The hosts were exceptional, thank you so much for making our getaway so much more than we expected.

We came for our 17th anniversary to relax and be together. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Welcome basket of snacks was provided, it was a really awesome touch. Weather was cloudy, drizzly, and cool but it was perfect for sitting under the covered area, listening to the falls, reading. And sitting on the bridge with our morning coffee feeding bread to the little fish. Fire pit location between pond and creek is great, loved the campfires and firefly shows. Only thing, the main road was closer than it appeared on the site. From the description, we thought private, peaceful & quiet. There was a lot of loud traffic noise, but; 2 out of 3 isn't bad. We found the trail behind the cabin to be marked at the start but after going around a couple of tree falls we could no longer determine where the trail went, a little disappointing; but loved sitting on the benches by the creek listening to the small falls. Did not want to go to the state parks to hike because of the rain showeres. Overall a wonderfully relaxed stay. David and Ann

Wlhat a treat! This cabin was exactly as described. Our trip was great and relaxing as we hoped! This cabin was very well equiped. Only brought clothes, food and drinks. Everything we planned to do was within 30 minutes or less. We visted all local parks and Sassafras Mountain is a must. We hiked, fished, and even went to the new Zipline above the canopy across from Lake Keowee Toxaway (so much fun and safe)! Spent some early evenings in Picken just 10 min away eating out and asking about the area. Great people in area. Found plentiful flea markets and shops so close for those rainy days, or sunny days. We were so busy we couldn't wait to get back to cabin and relax as hoped! Thanks for this slice of heaven!

My son and I stayed over his spring break. Beautiful property and centrally located for plenty of hiking. It’s out in the country but not far from Greenville and Clemson.

This cabin is perfect if you want to have privacy and still be close to town. The owners were amazing and very helpful. The cabin is extremely clean and well stocked. We will definitely stay here again.

Polite and kind renter, extra amenities and a gift basket included, beautiful property, scenic, lots of little details accounted for, like anti-mosquito candles and lights. Truly a 10/10 experience. The only qualm I have is that the pictures don't let you know that it is near a main road. It's not loud, and is still quite secluded, so it didn't detract from the experience at all, but I think some renters should know. Do NOT let this be the make or break on this place though; The property is definitely everything as advertised and so much more. Will be coming back, without a doubt.

We love this cabin so much! It’s beautiful, relaxing, clean and cozy…. So good!! We brought our 4 year old son this time and he loved it, he didn’t even want to leave the cabin some days!

We've stayed for a week at this cabin in October 2 years in a row now and it's the best place we've found in our favorite area of the Carolinas. The owners even upgraded the internet connection since last year, far better than it was previously. Anything you need is supplied and it's a short drive to great food and one of the best grocery stores in the southeast, Ingles in nearby Pickens. The beautiful surroundings, privacy and serenity of this cabin are as good as it gets, and we plan to come back again.

This is our 2nd week vacation we have taken to this beautiful property and won’t be the last! We love everything about it and the location is so nice! The waterfalls and running water is so peaceful! We did alot of exploring in the area but being on this property was tops hands -down! Cabin is so clean and furnished with everything you need!

I had a wonderful time at this property. The owners were very communicative, the place was sparkling clean, and the setting was picturesque. Would not hesitate to return.

Great place away from the general hustle of life yet plenty to do in the area if so inclined. The property itself had all the amenities we were looking for, above all a quiet, peaceful setting. The interior was comfortable and relaxing as was the outdoor areas. We will consider another stay if in the area again.

Communication was excellent. Cleanliness, decor, and outdoor spaces are top notch. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again and again.

Everything you could ever want in a property is right here! From the stream flowing down the mountain to the deck you can relax on, there was something here that everyone loved. Our 7-year-old found lots of crawdaddy's in the creek while our 4-year-old preferred playing croquet on the lawn. My husband enjoyed the grills and firepit, while I explored the path or read in the reading nook. of course, the cabin itself was also beautiful with much attention to detail with the stained glass. oh, and the bonus of a playroom was a wonderful surprise! And, on a side note, the property owners are amazing and even took time out of their busy day when our car wouldn't start. they went above and beyond.

Our family’s fifth time staying at Pappy’s Place over the years creating so many memorable family moments in time. My grandkids and my adult children all love our adventures there. We have created so many lasting memories there and create news ones each time we go. Thanks to the Aartun’s for making our family vacation dreams come to fruition.

We rented for a nice quiet place to get away from it all and boy did this deliver. Very beautiful and quite place to just relax. Close to everything you are wanting. Communication between owner was OUTSTANDING. Very hospitable and keeps you informed. I would highly recommend this spot.
