This home was AMAZING! My husband and I traveled from outside Philadelphia area with our 3 teens- 13, 15 and 16. The location and property were gorgeous and gave us all some peace and natural beauty! The owners were wonderful, accommodating and very responsive!
We are had easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest as well as to breweries and Downtown Asheville! We loved our adventures each day, but we all looked forward to returning home to rest and recharge. The kitchen is exquisite with everything you need to prepare and serve meals! The chickens were a really cool part of this experience too! We look forward to returning soon!!!
Thank you ☺️

Everything was impeccable, and the kids loved roaming the spacious background and "naming" the chickens. (Even though the chickens already have names.) Thanks!

Great property to keep younger kids busy and engaged, easy drive to Ashville and local brewery whistle hop was a favorite.

Everything about this property and our visit was spot-on amazing! Location is perfect for visits to surrounding attractions. The home is beautiful and full of charm. The chickens and the fresh eggs were an added bonus! Highly recommend this property. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you so much! We will be back!

The property is just as pictured. My family of 8, (2 adults and 6 kids 14 to 1 years old) had a fantastic time. The chickens are so friendly and fun to watch roam the property. The bonus for us was that the pond was full of salamanders, it was amazing to watch them swim around and all the tadpoles. We spent multiple days on the property just enjoying being in nature. The only 2 things I would make note of is the Master bedroom doesn't get as warm as the rest of the house and you need to bring your own baby supplies such as a high chair and pack and play for baby to sleep in. I would definitely recommend this property!

Our family of 5 had a great time at the Farmhouse. Exactly as advertised with everything you need. Super-responsive host. Was a great place for us to unwind, play games, and sit by the fire. Would love to come back again.

It was a great quick weekend trip to Asheville. The house was laid out exactly as described with plenty of outdoor spaces that are fun for everyone including fire pits all around and lots of good space for the kids to have fun and run. The kitchen was really well stocked with everything that we needed to cook all of our meals. There were indoor games for the kids, a cozy indoor fireplace, and comfortable beds. The hammock was a great place to relax and we played cornhole by the fire for hours. Definitely recommend this home if you’re looking for a nice house with great outdoor space near Asheville.

We really enjoyed out stay at the Fairview Farmhouse. Very clean, great beds and linens. Efficient space heaters for each bedroom that we definitely used. Only one shower but that was clearly noted and we totally managed with 5 of us. Never did try the great clawfoot tub. One of the best outfitted kitchens I have encountered in a VRBO if you intend to do some serious cooking. The grounds are really great-lots of room to run and roam so I can see why families with young kids would love. Chickens never laid any eggs while we were there but we enjoyed visiting them. It was gorgeous in NC while we were there-70's during the day but down to 20's at night. We used the fireplace every night but didn't take advantage of the outdoor fire pits because by the time we returned it was plenty dark and cold. A few things that we weren't prepared for--it's not a quick trip into Asheville. I would plan for at least 30 minutes minimum into town--and that was just fine with us--it's a fun drive. It's VERY dark and we arrived late so it was a little disorienting to try to figure out exactly where the house was--we laughed about that once we were acclimated but it would be helpful if there was more lighting for a late arrival. We spent 2 days on the Blue Ridge Parkway and in the Smoky Mountains--very easy access. Because we had pretty diverse activities I felt like we were well positioned for the area.

What a wonderful property that was totally rehabilitated!! Far enough from town to get the peace of the mountains but close enough to make it easy to go and do all the fun Asheville adventures. The house and property were immaculate clean and so much care has been taken to stock the house with everthing you need for your stay. The curated furtniture inside and out have plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy nature with beautiful views from the main living area. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Fairview Farmhouse. Communication prior and during our staying exceeded expectations, the farmhouse was incredibly inviting, cozy and impeccably clean! The property has been well maintained from the different sitting areas, dining options and ‘activities’ on the farm! We loved the treasure of finding a farm fresh egg in the coop (this is not a possibility in Houston proper), explore the cold creek and searching for feathers, special leaves and hearing the trickle of the water fall. The house is centrally located to access Asheville, Black Mountain or other nearby day trips (we went to Linville Caverns, Lake Lure Beach, the Biltmore, and Sliding Rock/Pisgah National Forest). I was able to rent infant/baby gear via a local company, who delivered the items to the house, which I highly recommend, too, if needed. The kitchen is stocked with a large grocery store 10 minutes away. We were looking for rest, relaxation, adventure, and great food… the Fairview Farmhouse met and exceeded our expectations, and we will be back in the future!

We loved staying at this home! We loved the outdoor spaces for making fires/s’mores and all of the land for the kids to run and play. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The property was beautiful. My teens loved the chickens. I wish we had a week to enjoy the property more. I really appreciated no long list of mandatory check out instructions. Leaving and catching a flight is stressful enough. I can’t say enough good things about this rental.

This property was amazing and had everything. The kids loved the chickens and playing in the creek. It was also conveniently located only 20min from Asheville. The outdoor dining spaces and fire pits were so great. This is definitely a property we will be back to!

This is a great place for families! We had 4 little kids and a baby between 2 families. All the kids and adults had a wonderful time exploring the property. The house is flawless. We had everything we needed. The location is good, close to hiking and great breweries. About 30 minute drive to so many other activities in the area. Would highly recommend a stay here!

We had the most comfortable stay in this beautifully appointed house. Our host was accommodating and outfitted the house with everything (and more) we could need to feel right at home - away from home. We will definitely be back.

This property is nothing short of incredible from start to finish. Very quaint property with tons of room for adults and kids. Easily accessible and close to all Asheville amenities. Excellent communication with the host. Even with -23F windchill temps outside, the home was very comfortable and warm- especially with the fantastic fireplace and wood burning oven.

Very happy with our stay. The house and property were even better than the pictures had shown. Easy to get to downtown Asheville and any amenities you may want, but still far enough to feel like a mountain retreat. We appreciate the careful thought of the guests with respect to the firepit(s). House was immaculately clean. And, of course... chickens! Our family loved seeing them. Thank you again.

The home is lovely, inviting and comfortable , it just makes it feel like your in your own home. My 4 yr old grandson said on the last say “ I want to stay here forever!’ The grounds are beautiful and we took many family photos to chersh. If there was one thing I wish was different, would be there is only one shower which means 6 adults have to schedule shower time. The claw foot tub although stunning , offers a hand held shower nozzle but the 3 men in the family are not “claw foot tub” kinda guys!! But all in all the trip was wonderful. Looking foward to returning!

The property was as described. Well maintained & would highly recommend!

The house is suitable for a small family as it has an open floor plan. Note there is only one shower in the house so plan accordingly. I would not recommend for a multi-family vacation as there is not much privacy between bathroom and bedrooms, and sound carries easily. The property is large with a lot of lovely outdoor spaces.

My college friends and I get together every year, somewhere. We chose Asheville area because I live in Charlotte. We needed a space for 5 adults to eat, drink, dance and play outside. This home was sooo perfect. Beautiful we loved our stay.

We had an amazing stay! The home was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The interior is modern and well decorated. And then the yard!! Wow! Our kids had a BLAST running around in the yard. It is massive and beautiful! The chicken coop was fun to check out too. We had the perfect Fall getaway. We will be back!

I came with a small group of girls for my older sisters Bachelorette weekend and we absolutely loved the Fairview Farmhouse!! It was so beautiful and cozy!! We all had plenty of space and loved being able to make a fire in the fireplace as well as outside at night. The hosts were very accommodating and and responded to messages quickly. We also accidentally left something at the house and hosts were so helpful in finding it for us and sending it. I would definitely recommend booking the Fairview Farmhouse!!

Stayed at this home with a group of girls this weekend. It is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. The host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a good weekend getaway!

If you're looking for a charming house on a beautiful property with multiple areas to relax, this is the one. The house itself is cozy with an updated kitchen, A-frame living area, comfortable master suite, bunk room for the kids, and a secondary queen bedroom. But the real star of the show is the property itself. It's probably the best outdoor space of any rental we've ever stayed at, with two different fire pit areas, a spring fed waterfall, fairy house, a large deck with views down to the rest of the property, a bench swing overlooking a small stream, and even a chicken coop with fresh eggs. The location is good, just off a not-too-busy main road with some glimpses of the mountains through the trees. 20 minutes to downtown Asheville and 10 minutes to Hickory Nut Gap Farm. Great hosts who are quick to communicate and clearly care about the property and their guests. Highly recommended.

There were 5 women for a low key bachelorette weekend and this was the perfect location and place. Had a great fire outside, collected chicken eggs and walked the property. Just amazing! It’s also a great location to town and airport!

This property was absolutely amazing! The house was so cute and the property was beautiful the only complaint I have is that I could not stay there for longer in! I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody and everybody!

We loved our stay. The house was well equipped and everyone felt comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing in the yard, watching the stream, and collecting eggs. The adults enjoyed the fire pit and multiple seating areas.

From start to finish a great experience. Easy communication with Alex. Easy check-in. Very descriptive instructions for property. FULLY stocked house with everything we needed. Lovely experience gathering eggs and exploring grounds with kids. Convenient location to both Black Mountain and Asheville. Would stay again without hesitation!

We truly enjoyed Fairview Farmhouse. To be sure, we are fairly particular when it comes to accommodations and this home lived up to our expectations in virtually every way. First, Alex was helpful with suggestions and easy to communicate with. Second, the renovations completed inside and outside make this a warm and welcoming retreat. The furnishings are all quite nice, well thought out and comfortable. Our family of five - with three kids - thoroughly enjoyed the entire home, including the fire pit, covered barn outdoor area during a rainstorm, the patio for morning coffee and afternoon drinks, and the family room for games. Best of all, though, was the chicken coop! Our kids absolutely fell in love with the very friendly chickens. It was the first thing they did in the morning and the last thing they did at night - check on the chickens and bring in eggs for the next day’s breakfast. A short commute downtown, to the Biltmore and several great hikes (Bearwallow, Chimney Rock e.g.), it was a convenient retreat. The only thing to note is that the house only has one shower. We knew that ahead of time and it just took a touch more time to cycle folks through showers. Alex has done a great job thinking of all the things you might need - fire wood, fire starters, coffee and filters, etc. Highly recommended and plan to return!

Charming!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Peaceful getaway away from the busy city life and traffic. The home was well stocked, the owners even provided firewood and a fire splitting tool that was a big hit with the kids. The bedding linens were soft and of high quality, we all had a great sleep. Communication with the owner was excellent. Ease of moving in and checking out was a breeze. Very cool farmhouse with chickens, rustic yet modern and clean. Highly reccomend!
