3 Serious issues exist with this property (along with many Major Issues, and countless minor): 1. The water is not potable. The water coming from the faucet is rust colored, smells, and is absolutely not potable. This was not brought to our attention prior to booking or at any point prior to arriving. A 5 gallon water dispenser is provided for drinking water, but there is no way the water coming from the faucet meets basic water quality standards. (pictures available if requested). This was clearly not a new issue as all of the faucets, sink bowls, toilet bowls, shower, tub, and the dishes showed staining likely from years of this occuring. 2. Serious Issues with the electrical set up. We showed up and found 2 sets of 6 strings of lights for a christmas tree plugged into the same outlet. We immediately unplugged them, but this is how it was set up. My 1.5 year old son happened to find a decorative christmas tree next to the fire place with strings of lights around it with broken light bulbs. He touched one of them and shocked his finger. Luckily, no actual harm and only a close call, but serious issue! When we investigated, we found 3 broken light bulbs within the 3 strands of lights with wires protruding! There is an electric space heater on the porch that heats that room, when plugged in with the light on, the breaker trips. We found this to be an undersize circuit and essentially closed off the porch because you couldn't run the heater and the light! 3. Bugs! We found at least 50 june bugs hiding out in doors, cabinets, windows, drawers, on the dishes, really anywhere you looked there was a june bug staring at you. The downstairs shower had bugs crawling out of the drain! Other gripes about this house: -Kitchen was not clean, dishes were dirty, water spotted, unorganized, old food left in the house (years old) -When we arrived, the key code was wrong, luckily (or unluckily) the front door was ajar!!! we were able to get in and realized the back lock didn't even work! -We found the lower bedroom windows either screwed shut (major life safety issue) or completely stuck as if they hadn't been opened in years. -The swing set shown in the pictures is rotten, with boards falling off or broken, nails and screws protruding, and in a state of disrepair! In general, this house needs some major, major maintenance. I don't recommend this house and do not plan on renting it in the future.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The owners were very communicative and everything from check in to check out was a breeze. The homes location was perfect, and the yard was ideal for games. Additionally being on the water, we were able to take advantage of getting out in our kayaks. Would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

Perfect house for our family vacation (8 adults and 2 small children). The house is very spacious (better than pictured) and has a small beach which was perfect for the kids. The owners were super responsive and went out of their way to be helpful during our stay. We rented a pontoon boat and there was pier space to drop off the boat which was very convenient for the family. Neighbors on both sides were very friendly as well. I would definitely stay here again!

Huge house right on the lake, location can't be any better!

Roomy home in a parklike setting on a quiet park on beautiful Powers Lake. Many blue gills caught off the dock by the grandkids. Large yard for bocce and mash ball for the older kids and adults. We had a very relaxing family trip.

The Rath Lake House was the perfect place for our extended family vacation. Plenty of space to spread out and many activities to keep our young ones happy. Everything you needed was easily located in the spacious kitchen. We would love to visit again!!

We had a great time on our first extended family vacation. We are a family that is always on the go but this weekend we were able to just sit back and reconnect with nature and family. Thank you for sharing your lake front house with us. I am sure we will do this again.

We're 2 family with a combined 4 kids under 4, and this was an ideal home for a weekend getaway. Well stocked with all of the necessities for our kid needs (highchairs, changing tables, cribs, gates on stairs, plastic plates, etc). The kids LOVED running around in the big backyard, playing by the lake, the swingset and slide, and the fire pit, and the house had enough space if they needed a break from each other as well. Would definitely return!

This is a nice house on a small lake in Wisconsin. We visited in December, so we can’t really comment on what a visit would be like in warmer weather. The main floor of this house has nice updates, large kitchen area, and open layout for dining area and living room. A very nice master bedroom and bath with large shower and another bedroom with twin beds which our granddaughters enjoyed. The lower level has 3 bedrooms, lots of beds, and also cribs for little ones. The bathroom configuration on the lower level is kind of unusual, one complete bath with toilet and tub, one shower room, and one bedroom with a sink. Overall the property worked well for our group of 9. The coffee maker in the kitchen did not work well, but the owners arranged for a replacement Mr. Coffee which made our coffee drinkers very happy.

Rented this beautiful Powers Lake home for a gathering of my siblings and parents to celebrate their 72nd anniversary. The house was exactly as promised with plenty of space, a beautiful lake front location and a huge shaded yard. The owners were a pleasure to work with. Would definitely rent again.

We had the best time at this lake house. One day was so nice out we spent the day by the lake with our nieces and nephews 3 toddlers and a 11 year old and 8 year old. They all enjoyed time at the beach. Great to have the older ones disconnect from all their gadgets. Followed by nice family dinners, bonfire day, painting pumpkins, and dancing. We used the paddle boat as well the family enjoyed the time on the lake. Was nice to be away from the stresses of home and work. Would definitely recommend this lovely home.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The home is right on Powers Lake, and has a dock we were able to keep our boat at during the stay. Nice views of the lake from the sunroom and living room. Spacious home fit our needs well.

We had a wonderful time staying at this home on Powers Lake. The house has a great layout and there was plenty of room for our group. We enjoyed the pier and sand area the most. My kids had a blast. The owners were incredibly responsive and helped us to navigate all our questions. Wonderful people and wonderful home!

Home was very comfortable. Had all the amenities you need. Spent most of the time outdoors, could not keep the grandkids out of the lake.

This is a wonderful place for a family or friends’ get away. The home is exceptionally clean, with soft towels and linens, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, grill, outdoor chairs and fire pit. We can’t wait to return. It is everything I wanted it to be and a very special home.

Every summer my family rents a house and for 5 years we have never rented the same house because there was always something just not right about it. Well we Finally found the perfect house this year! The space was great for adults and little kids. The Safety gates were the perfect addition to help with peace of mind, the little beach made it so easy for the kids to play and the swing set was a big hit too. All of the bedrooms were laid out just right and all 14 of us had plenty of space. So many rooms to relax in and enjoy each other’s company. We rented a pontoon boat from Ed on the lake which was really easy and the owners, Judi and Robert were so accommodating and overall just the nicest people. We are definitely coming back! Already looking forward to next summer. Thanks again!!!

Spacious family home on a quiet cove. House is set up perfectly for multiple families, it's almost like two homes in one. Perfect for social distancing, house boasts four separate outdoor eating areas, and plenty of sleeping, recreation and bathrooms. Kitchen is huge, island has 7 chairs lining it. A lovely pergola welcomes you to a 100 foot grassy yard that leads to a private pier, and a charming sun room is perfect for morning coffee. The seaweed is easily avoidable by swimming off the pier. You can rent a pontoon and anchor down at one of the lakes sand bars to swim. The boys caught a 7-lb bass with a worm off the pier. Bob and Judi are receptive and helpful. They allowed us to use their canoe, pedal boat and cornhole game. We are already planning our next stay! thanks again.

Robert and Judi were very easy to work with, responded quickly and the house was great. Huge grassy backyard with a swing set, private access to the lake and a few feet of sandy beach for the kids to play. Highly recommend!

We came up during the pandemic and it was an amazing release. My husband and our 2 boys (7 months, 2.5 years) had an amazing time. The family accommodations and baby/kid gear supplies were perfect! We will definitely be coming back!

Great layout for multiple families.

This is a cozy, well equipped home that’s perfect for large family getaways—particularly with small children. It gets 3 stars rather than 5 because we all felt certain aspects of the home could have been cleaner and because the internet only worked 60% of the time.

We had 5 couples stay in the home to celebrate a milestone birthday and our expectations were exceeded! Kitchen is totally updated and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and VERY CLEAN.

We had a good week, the House was big enough for our kids and 5 grandsons. It was well equipped for cooking, sleeping, & had kid toys outside for the beach. It was a perfect house for a family vacation. Enjoyed out week.

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving here. We had 6 adults and a baby. We enjoyed having space to be in the kitchen together, watch a movie together and all sit at the table to eat together. The house was set up well for the baby with cribs and high chairs. The kitchen worked great for our Thanksgiving meal, we were impressed the with what was available in the kitchen. It was obviously too cold to enjoy the lake, but the view was nice and we liked walking through the neighborhood. We also went to Lake Geniva for Shop Small Saturday, it was an easy drive and totally worth it! We would absolutely stay here again!

A group of 8 of us loved the beautiful beach house! We went in October and would love to come back in the summer. The cozy fireplaces, open layout & plenty of space was amazing!

Our group of 11 had an amazing time. Plenty of room in the house, really well appointed and a great stay overall.

House is spacious, clean and really lovely. Love the number of bedroom and bathrooms. Kitchen and dining is great for a large family. The kids loved the large backyard and play set. The only issue we had was with the lake water within this property. So much seaweed! Too much for anyone over two years old to swim in.
