The property was very nice, you are in the middle of nowhere, so if you were loud, it's not a problem. I loved that the pool house is separated from the house. We also had a visitor (a bear), I wish I could attach the video. We were sitting on the back porch and when we saw it. We took video inside the house through the window. The only minor thing was, the cabin could have a little cleaner. There were flies in the master bedroom in the tub. Also the driveway to get to the gate is like a roller coaster. I would rent again though.

We had a great week at this place with extended family. It’s secluded and you really don’t have to leave once you are there. Plenty of space for the family to gather and plenty of room to spread out. The pool and fire pit area were heavily used the whole week, and there is an awesome view of the mountains we couldn’t get enough of. We even had a few visits from a black bear. Two minor dings - they weren’t ready to check us in at 3 on the day of arrival. - they need to do a better job of cleaning the place between guests. Several places need some extra attention, nothing that was a mood killer, just clearly haven’t been cleaned in awhile.

He arrived even later, so we lost a whole day due to waiting for him. This time it was a defective capacitor in the other unit. The knobs to open the windows had been removed all over the house, so we couldn't get any outside air. This is a huge concern and a real hazard in case of a fire. In one bedroom the fan worked, but the lights on the fan didn't. There was no pull chain to turn them on. In the master bedroom, the bed was very squeaky.The temp in the hot tub couldn't be lowered below 103° without leaving the cover off which you are not supposed to do. The hot tub filter was 12 days past due and the date on the controls was set at 5/2014. The outdoor shower was turned off somewhere inside the pool house. The TV in the pool bar area didn't work. We have been renting from Elks Springs Resorts for 7 years now and this was a VERY disappointing experience. This property is showing severe signs of wear because of the popularity and high usage. The cleaning and condition of the property are NOT worth the current price being charged. We had several issues during our 6 night stay with this property to include...
*centipede infestation (they came and sprayed twice)
*bathrooms were very dirty and not sanitary
*one bathroom stool clogged
*broken trim in basement bar
*light bulbs burned out in kitchen
*light fixture unassembled in one bedroom
*not enough towels for 14 people
*air filters in house are beyond clogged and need replaced (they look terrible)
*several cabinet drawers in kitchen not working because of missing track(s)
*all three propane tanks were empty
*all three outdoor cooking units were grease traps and fire hazards. The grease is so built up on the deck floor that it is coming through the wood decking and onto the concrete below on the lower level. If this was a food service area an inspector would close it down.
*leak under kitchen sink that we fixed to keep from having water damage.
This is just a sampling of the items. Property location is AMAZING and in the right condition would be well worth the amount that is being charged. I would like to add that Louis with the Elk Springs was VERY responsive and did her best to help. I commend her service. Unfortunately we will probably be looking at other property companies for future bookings as we invested far too much money for the condition of the property.

We had several issues during our 6 night stay with this property to include...*centipede infestation (they came and sprayed twice)*bathrooms were very dirty and not sanitary*one bathroom stool clogged*broken trim in basement bar*light bulbs burned out in kitchen*light fixture unassembled in one bedroom*not enough towels for 14 people*air filters in house are beyond clogged and need replaced (they look terrible)*several cabinet drawers in kitchen not working because of missing track(s)*all three propane tanks were empty *all three outdoor cooking units were grease traps and fire hazards. The grease is so built up on the deck floor that it is coming through the wood decking and onto the concrete below on the lower level. If this was a food service area an inspector would close it down.*leak under kitchen sink that we fixed to keep from having water damage.This is just a sampling of the items. Property location is AMAZING and in the right condition would be well worth the amount that is being charged. I would like to add that Louis with the Elk Springs was VERY responsive and did her best to help. I commend her service. Unfortunately we will probably be looking at other property companies for future bookings as we invested far too much money for the condition of the property.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property not even at base condition in terms of cleanliness.Property not maintained well. Pool cloudy and not clean. Please take Mansion out of the title.Property needs to be upgraded. Appliances don't trash can in much money that you pay very disappointed.
