We were very pleased with our second year of staying at this property as a family! Perfect location steps from the beach is great with little kids needing all the back and forth. The house is setup for family time each evening but allowed space in the mornings for those that wanted to take it slow.

We stayed here for a month and it was wonderful! The sunsets are spectacular and it was easy to go down to the wharf or walk across the street to the beach. The house is well-equipped for a family or friends to stay. The beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything you need to cook and serve meals. We loved sitting on the deck on the evenings to watch the sunset and enjoy the breeze when the sun went down. Plenty of parking under the house and the grill area under the house was perfect. We can’t say enough about what a lovely time we had!

The description was completely accurate! Beautiful views, house was clean, space was perfect. Kitchen had everything we needed, grill space was wonderful, pier was great to fish from!

The calm side was perfect . The family (4 to 73) enjoyed the sand,the shallow water to play in. Along with the hermit crabs,blue crab,stingray , frogs and birds and DOLPHINS.The deck was the favorite spot for coffee in the am to beers in the pm.

This was our first time to Dauphin Island and we loved everything about it! The house was the perfect location on the sound side and close walk to the gulf. We loved having a dock to fish from and Ash was so helpful with advice for fishing and things to do! Would definitely recommend staying here! The house had everything you could want; kayaks, beach accessories, crab trap and more!

The house is stunning, with beautiful views all around. The crow's nest was my favorite part of the house, and the big green egg and grilling area was my husbands. The kids loved the beach area, only yards away from the balcony. We enjoyed the stay!

Bring your own kitchen items if you are a chef - but lovely big deck Picnic table for eating outside. We got amazing seafood at Skinners seafood store and ate outside. The pier area had bulky trash sunken in the sand (toilet!?) which hopefully will be removed as beaches were nice! Didn’t see a parking pass to use - if you need one you should ask, but we walked to the beach about 5-7 minute walk or so. Love this island! It’s really peaceful. Beds were comfortable! Great spot! The Dinner take out food by islanders was also amazing! As is the lighthouse bakery.

Gorgeous interiors in the house; nice space with a great view deck on top of the house. My family had a great time at this beautiful home on the island for Thanksgiving!

Our family really enjoyed our vacation here even though it was cut short by hurricane IDA. It’s a nice house and we loved the big deck off the back and the area underneath the house.

The house was beautiful. Check in/out was super easy. We really liked staying on the Mississippi sound side of the island. We caught crabs in the crab cages & used the poles to fish. It was an amazing family vacation. Master bedroom bed is sooo comfortable. Would stay again for sure! Property manager was very responsive not that we had any real issues to need her just routine questions about check in.

This house was a home for our family for the week. We were all comfortable, layout is perfect. The view outside was just breathtaking. This was our first trip to dauphin island and it most likely won't be the last. The sound behind the house was a perfect little private beach with calm water so we didn't have to worry. The kids loved it and the gulf side. Gulf side required a short drive to the public pay beach as it seems you aren't supposed to just walk onto the gulf across the street? I don't know but that's what we were told there. The sound behind the house was plenty for us most days. We did see the nature preserve, Fort Gaines, and the estruarium. Definitely worth the drive from NC. Loved every minute.

We had the best time! This beautiful house was just the right size for our family of 7. It’s tastefully decorated and very comfy. The deck facing the water was the perfect spot to relax after a day of swimming and boating. Access to the water was perfect…there is a small beach area and we were able to keep our ski boat and small sailboat in the water and tied to the wharf the whole week. We were all in agreement that we would love to stay here again!

Perfect location! Amazing beach on the “lagoon” side with beautiful views of both lagoon and gulf side beaches / water. Gulf is less than 1 city block away so easy walking distance to public access beach. Has pretty much everything you need for cook outs, playing and lounging on the beach. Great find!

Really great

We enjoyed a great week on Dauphin Island. This house is positioned perfectly between the Mississippi Sound and the ocean with access to both sides. The house is perfectly furnished for a family getaway with a very responsive property manager.

We had a great week even with the rain to start the week. The walk out to the beach was just right with three 5 year olds. Only issue was slow internet that required using our hot spot a couple nights for movie time.

Overall experience was great. Listing undersells the view and amenities. Great place for large families and four legged friends. Some of the notes need to be updated with the rental such as trash pickup schedule and WiFi password. These were very minimal inconveniences. Family definitely enjoyed.

Perfect low key spot to relax on the beach and bay. Spacious, updated and clean. Owner was very responsive to resolve a minor plumbing issue. Look forward to coming back.

The property itself was spacious and nice. There were housekeeping issues, with floors being dirty upon arrival, a nasty kitchen sink leak, and washer and dryer not being cleaned regularly. But, beds slept good and were clean, bathrooms were clean, kitchen was well stocked, and everything worked! We had a great time on the island playing in the bay and on the beach! We also found big shells on the public beach at the end of the island. We also enjoyed fishing with on the Lady Ann with Captain Mike’s Deep Sea Fishing and touring the USS Alabama and looking at the tanks and airplanes! Definitely a great trip overall!

My family enjoyed staying and playing on the sound side of this beautiful island. There was a tropical storm in the gulf causing dangerous rip tides. Being on the sound we were still able to enjoy kayaking, fishing, and playing in the water. The home was beautiful and we enjoyed the the lookout and sunsets from the deck.

Me, my wife, our two adult kids and our son-in-law rented this great house to escape the insanity that real life has become. I can't think of anything to complain about! The house is clean, comfortable, spacious, well-furnished, and well-stocked with everything you need. All descriptions and photos on the VRBO site are accurate, but the property is even better! We weren't sure about staying on the bay side, but any hesitation we had were completely misguided. Having the calmer bay waters for our pooch to play in was really nice (she was afraid of the larger waves). And the natural "pools" to play and float in are truly exceptional. And, the gulf-side beach was just a very short walk across an empty lot. It was like having the best of both worlds! The 360-degree view from the Crow's nest was superb. The very large back deck is also a fabulous place to hang out and plan your day's activities, or to relax on at day;s end and watch the truly spectacular sunsets over the water. The home has lots of extras; two sand wagons for hauling stuff to the beaches and back, several chairs, floats, and sand toys are available for use. The lower deck is a nice addition that made loading and unloading the care much easier and less sandy. All kitchen appliances are modern. The large ice maker is a big plus. Washer and dryer are stacked, but full-sized. We have stayed at several different properties on Dauphin Island over the years and have never been disjointedness. But this house, with its extra amenities, the unexpected advantage of being on the bay side of the island, and the great crow's nest put this house literally head and shoulders above the rest. Oh, and the owner answered all of my questions (even the silly ones) fully and promptly. You should rent this property!

Beautiful home, and the house was in a great location with amazing views. A few improvements could have been made. The house could have been a little cleaner. The washing machine needed to be cleaned. In addition, the vacuum was broken, and that was a nightmare with three kids and sand for the week. The boat dock was missing power so it was impossible to charge a boat. Lastly the master bedroom didn’t have a remote to watch TV. Normally this wouldn’t of been too big of an issue, but with the tropical storm TV was much needed for those two days. Owner was very responsive and nice to work with. Overall it was a good vacation, but with a few small improvements it could be great for someone in the future.

Pleasantly surprised by the location and rental home. The private pier was our favorite. Was a first for us to stay on bay and would gladly return!

We had a amazing time, the owner was so nice, accommodated us in every way, can’t wait to come back. Lighted dock was so pretty and convenient for fishing, house had everything you would ever need.

We enjoyed our stay here. We had a total of 5 adults, 1 teenager, and 5 kids and had plenty of room. The house is well stocked. The kids loved catching crabs in the traps. They were not successful at fishing off the pier and we are not sure if it was too shallow (2 feet) or not the right type of bait. But they still enjoyed being outside on the water. One evening we even spotted a dolphin not far from the pier. There is just a short walk to the gulf (beach) side. The water was pretty clear considering all the rain from Tropical Storm Barry that occured just prior to our arrival. We brought our own beach wagon but there is one you can use along with sand toys and boogie boards. It was a relaxing week.

This property exceeded our expectations and Ashley was exceptional responsive to any questions we had. We brought our lab and she loved the bed that was provided for her. In fact, she slept in it more than the bed we brought form home. The fourth bedroom is a quaint 'Harry Potter' room on the second level. It's not featured in the pictures, but it's up the spiral staircase. The crow's nest provides fantastic views, but the huge deck off the main living area is where everyone congregated. We would certainly go back.
