We had a little trouble finding the place as it is not directly on the road but location was good with lots of privacy should you want to be outside by the fire pit. Lake was a just around the corner of entrance. Chalet was clean and had all that you need. Robert the owner was quick to reply to our questions. I would go back.

We had a great time here. The lake was clear and really refreshing to swim and kayak in. The house had everything we needed and the owner was great at answering our questions before we arrived. Would come back!

No issues with booking or check in. Owner was quick to respond to questions. Do know that there is no air conditioning in this property—having said that, we were there when it was 90 degrees and did fine with windows open and fans. We did have a couple of issues about cleanliness that we addressed with the owner directly. We enjoyed our stay.

This was our second trip to this beautiful Northwood home. We had a wonderful stay. Spacious house, very clean and and stocked with everyone we needed! Had so much fun at the lake. Bob is an excellent host! He responds responds any questions immediately and is so nice!

Bob was a great host. The property was well maintained and in a great location. The house was situated close to surrounding towns and restaurants, but had enough privacy to be able to relax for a weekend. The beach was clean and just a short walk away. Our entire group had a great time, and we hope to book again with Bob in the future.

We've loved this cabin since our first stay in 2018. Northwood lake is literally steps away and it's central to the family we visit while in town. New Hampshire is a beautiful state with lots to enjoy and this property gives us that end-of-the-day rest we need after a day of whatever we did.

We are requesting a refund of the cleaning fee of $95.00. We know this is a camp and expect certain things however it was far from clean and well kept. We arrived to a smoke detector chirping. After we rummaged through the junk drawers (emphasis on junk) we finally found a 9 volt battery and replaced the battery. Also, the smoke detector at the top of the stairs was open. The first aid kit was not visible. It was hidden in the bathroom vanity drawer and was not well stocked. The smoke detector and first aid kit are listed as "Safety Information" on the contract however, neither were safe. Also, there were numerous burnt out light bulbs and the kitchen ceiling fan was dusty and grimy. There were plenty of towels however, no hand towels or kitchen clothes. There were no towel rods to hang wet towels in either of the bathrooms. The downstairs basement shower dripped and was full of bugs. The kitchen was full of bugs. The bureau was full of sheets so we could not use it for our clothes. The kitchen window was filthy. The floors and rugs were stained and dirty. There were numerous old ant and mouse traps which was unnerving. The downstairs closet was filled with junk. The shed smelled because there were trash bags in it that no one had taken away. . The upstairs shower liner was moldy. The microwave, kitchen counters and table were dirty. The front glass piece on the microwave continually slipped down. None of the tvs worked. Please refund our $95.00 and please hire someone that know how to clean properly.

We had a great time there, we loved the lake, they just need to clean better and add the air conditioning, it’s very difficult to sleep during the night because of the heat.

We loved this home! The driveway is a stone’s throw to a private beach, and the house itself feels very private because it’s surrounded by trees. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a perfect low-key, kid-friendly getaway. Lots of space to spread out in the house, beach conveniently located at end of driveway and boat launch and mini golf/ice cream each about 10-15 minutes away. Not fancy but totally functional and exactly what we were looking for.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful vacation. Bob has a spacious home, loaded with everything we needed for a week long stay with family. Bob is extremely quick to respond to any questions. The lake is beautiful and right at the end of the driveway. Couldnt have asked for a better time.

Owner was very responsive to any questions I had. Plenty of room for 2 families. Lake was a 2 min walk from the house. Overall very beautiful house. Only thing was that the floors And sinks needed to be cleaned a little better. Wish there was a list of everything that needed to be done before we left. Was not sure about the bedding etc.. Other than that everything else was great! Would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

Location of house was very satisfactory but there were several things that made the stay very frustrating. The oven would not operate above 350 degrees, the humidifier in the first floor was not operating and the smell and mustiness made the space unusable. There also were many lights that were lacking light bulbs and there were no signs of any available to replace them.

This house was amazing and the location was even better my kids and myself will definitely be rented this property again and again also thank you to the owner he was great and always there if you needed him.

There were so many things wrong, it’s a list of where to begin. First the mold – the smell is so bad in the basement/livingroom/bedroom that I couldn’t even go down there. One review mentioned that but the owner said it has been fixed - it certainly is not. The overall place needed a thorough cleaning. I had to use a wet wipe to clean the area of flies before I turned on the fan in the upstairs bedroom. The deck was a hazard – broken board and the railing wasn’t safe. I had to scrub the mugs before using them and there was no kettle, tea pot or a cutting board which was very odd. It is not on a lake, and unless you cut down the trees you would never see it. It was extremely difficult to find and why it’s not clearly marked with a stake or lights by the concrete wall was not pleasant. The stains on the carpet – seriously get rid of it. The fold up bed really didn’t work and it does not sleep 8 comfortably. The smell from the duvets, I don’t think they’ve been washed in a long time. I was very disappointed and we’ve traveled around the world and stayed at very unusual places but by far this was a rating of 1 and only because it was close to our relatives who let us stay with them most of the day to avoid being at the rental place.

Really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. We were in the area to prepare for and attend a wedding at Pawtuckaway State Park. Loved the house, especially the layout with one bedroom on each level. I would really like to come back when we aren't so busy and can enjoy the beach and lake more, as well as visit the other attractions in the area! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Lovely lakeside cabin just 90 minutes from Login. Great swimming at private beach steps from the cabin. Loved the peaceful sound of crickets and loons, raindrops some days. Kitchen stocked with essentials. 10Mbps Wifi/Internet connection kept us in touch with our online magazines and email. Owner replied quickly to questions via the VRBO app.

Has was stated in a previous review, the driveway is hard to find in daylight & harder in the night. Suggestion would be for Bob to string lights on the brick wall on left side of entering so one can see the narrow tree lined entrance. The second floor is probably the nicest floor. We were there when it was the hottest & most humid. The top & ground floor each had it's issues. We were four active senior citizens who had no problem navigating the property. However there was no AC & the humidifier went out due to a storm we had. No one knew this happened. My daughter lives in a neighboring town that's why we choose to stay here. It was not to far & we went back every night & got started early every morning. It was a good place to hang our hat as the saying goes. Two more suggestion I would make is to hang ceiling fans in all the bedrooms, & put lamps on nightstands so one can read before retiring for bed. I must say the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, towels are plenty & a Washer & Dryer if needed. Food & water are on you. So there you have it.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. There was plenty of room for my wife and I and our children. Having Northwood Lake so close was nice. Thanks for a great stay!

Overall we had a great time and everyone was satisfied with the house. This review may seem negative, but it really isn't. I just want to get my feedback in so that the owner can make the necessary tweaks so that other renters can have a better stay... The house was difficult to find - even in broad daylight. This is partly due to the setback of the house, partly because the driveway entrance isn't obvious, and partly because most GPS's located the house on the wrong street. We had 7 guys up for the Loudon NH Motor speedway race and the house worked well for us. With some management the 2 bathrooms were sufficient, and with some or the more able guys sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags we fit well into the 3 bedrooms. The bottom floor desperately needs some type of dehumidification as it was very moist and had that mildew odor to it. The upstairs floors were very pleasant. They were dry and there was no trace of mildew. Overall the house could stand a good cleaning/vacuum as there were fuzzies in most corners. There were ample chairs to seat everyone. The Deck is wonderful, but was practically covered in pine tar (there is a large white pine near the deck). This kept us from hanging out on the deck. Any chair left out on the deck could not be used as you would ruin your pants. Most of the kitchen amenities were there. Make sure you bring coffee filters & paper plates were handy. Also suggest brining at least one towel per person. The grill was in good working order and we used it a couple of times during the stay. The location and access to the lake and beach was wonderful and added immensely to the pleasure of staying at this house. One final suggestion, there are some very large oak trees near the house that are either dead or dying. At some point these have to be removed so they don't fall on the house - but you probably knew that. Thanks for a great house and a great stay

We loved it here, during the week we had the whole beach and swimming to ourselves. Its a very private and awesone property where Loons speak to you daily. Bob the owner is quick to respond to any question. One of the queen bedrooms had a closet perfect fit for pack play crib . 😃�

This was my second trip to this camp. Although my family has other land/camps on Northwood Lake, we were in need of more space. We do love this place, it is very spacious and clean and is just a very short walk to the beach. We brought kayaks and fishing gear and took turns fishing around the lake; grown ups and children alike. I hope to be able to stay again perhaps as early as this summer!

Owners were right when they said it was located close to the beach; it was just a short walk away. Unfortunately the living quarters were not as expected. We were not expecting luxury but we were disappointed in how sparsely it was furnished. The top floor bedroom only had a bed, nightstand and a few hangers in the closet. The middle bedroom had a dresser but it was not usable due to linens in all the drawers. The TV did work, though. The first floor bedroom again had no dresser. The family sitting area only had seating for 5 with a sofa and love seat and a broken TV. It is advertised as sleeping eight but the only gathering place for that many people was the dining room table. On the deck was a small plastic table with 5 chairs and a small table between 2 loungers which were in dubious condition. The house needed a good cleaning. The first thing you noticed on the first floor was the strong smell of mildew. There were Damprid containers but they were full of water and needed to be replaced. My daughter who stayed in that bedroom said the closet smelled like mold and did not use it. It had rained one day and you could see a sheen of water on the floor making it very slippery. My daughter said she woke up couple times during the night and felt very damp from the moisture. It was nice and cool but had a severe moisture problem. On the main floor the floor did not look like it had even been swept before we arrived. The dishwasher was also broken and we could not increase the temperature of the stove above 350. The ceiling fan worked but had quite a layer of dust on it. The toilet had a 2" black ring around the top of the bowl. My daughter-in-law and myself made the mistake of looking at the actual pillows; definitely not a pretty sight! The airflow in the dining room was non-existent. It could have benefitted from a ceiling fan and/or fans in the windows. Internet was slow but did work. There were kitchen supplies as promised and some personal items in case you forgot or didn't bring your own. The washer and dryer worked. Initially I didn't think there was an adequate supply of towels, but my daughter discovered that the majority of the towels had been left in the dryer. Again we were pleased at the closeness of the beach and spent the majority of our time there. The house was a good size for us but we were disappointed in the cleanliness and furnishings.

Had a great few days with friends here. The deck is awesome for hanging out when not down at the beach which is about a two minute walk from the house. The kitchen and dining area are large and open which makes for easily socializing. One bedroom on each floor allows for a lot of privacy and personal space. Only downside was that the dishwasher was broken. Owner is aware and may have even repaired it since we stayed during the last week of July. Thanks!

This was an amazing place to stay, the house was beautiful and well kept. Bob was very responsive and accommodating in every way. We had a wonderful time in the house and the short walk to the beach was a very nice feature. The people in the community around the house were very friendly and welcoming! We had a wonderful time and would rent this property again in the future! We would recommend the property to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay in Northwood.
