Great location and enjoyed the stay. View of the wild horses across the canal almost every morning and evening. Great fishing right off the easy accessible dock. Only complaint I could have is the water in the house. The water softener system needs maintenance regularly. There was a very strong sulfur “rotten egg” smell in the water and all towels and toilets were stained orange.

Clean, great air condition, everything it is advertised to be! Questions always answered in timely manner!

Property is away from the normal crowded areas of the beach traffic having a 4 by 4 beach drive very scenic and beautiful. The house has more than enough room for my family and amenities for kitchen and living space that I like when traveling. We will be staying here in the future!!!

Great location secluded on the beach!!! Plenty of room and kitchen amenities to cook and the feel of your own beach house. Not a lot of noise which is relaxing. Close to the wild horses which is what this home affords. Had a great time with family and hope to come back real soon!!!

I can't rave enough about this property. It fully captures the essence of Carova Beach and is an ideal property for anyone looking to experience all that Carova Beach has to offer. The house was immaculate and offered plenty of room for our party of 6 (all adults). We loved the rustic feel of the wood floors and shiplap. The decor and furniture provided the perfect feel of a remote beach paradise. The decks and docks provide the perfect outdoor activity areas. We visited in December so jumping in the canal for a swim was off the table, however I can imagine it would be a perfect swimming hole in the warmer months. We strongly recommend anyone traveling to Carova Beach to check this property out. The hosts have done an excellent job in keeping this property up. It really is amazing!

This property was very clean and well maintained. The location was unexpected. We did not anticipate just how far we had to travel on the beach to get there. We had not stayed anywhere like it before.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was clean, well furnished, comfortable and linens were plenty. Kitchen was well equipped and Keurig was a plus. Communication with the owner was easy and we received prompt replies. Only suggestion I have is to add a lamp to the master bedroom. The listing did say there was a hot tub when we booked but there is no hot tub. You will love your stay at this home for sure. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

We just returned from staying here and it was the best beach experience I have ever had! The house was a minute drive to the beach but still very private. The gps took us through some extra bumpy neighborhoods so we learned to look for the cell phone tower and fire station sign and turn in there since the street was not listed on gps. We stopped at Food Lion on our way in to stock up on food for the week (make sure to grab all paper products). We cooked on the grill every day and was able to enjoy our meals peacefully outside. We really loved the location because we noticed the beach was not as crowded in that area which was perfect for my family.

The house was exactly what we expected and then some. We did have some set backs towards the end of our week, but that was not due to this great location. Spencer & Kelley both were helpful for our set back. Thank you both!

Our Girl Scout troop thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Corolla. We had great service from our property owner when wifi went down. And overall we had such a pleasant time staying off the beach road with the wild horses wondering through our property. It was such a unique and memorable experience for our girls. Highly recommend this place and location to everyone!

Wow! This was fantastic. Size of the house and location was great. Driving south the other day we realized that we didn’t miss the commercial amenities of Corolla. Each day at the beach was so peaceful.

We had a wonderful winter stay! It was a blast driving on the beach and truly unplugging in this cozy, remote destination. The hot tub was a perfect amenity to combat the cold, and the host was extremely helpful and communicative!

We love Carova and have stayed at several properties. This home is superb, comfortable and a perfection location to beach. The outdoor space is as beautiful as the inside. Can’t wait to go back and highly recommend.

We are seasoned Carova travelers and enjoyed staying here. The house was the perfect size for just our family and worked well for a trip with small children. It is very private with trees all around, which we appreciated. The hot tub up on the deck was very nice. Tons of clean towels, very handy outdoor house and shower for cleaning off sand, convenient fridge and washer/dryer in the ground floor utility room. The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn't know the house didn't have a dishwasher, and that was frustrating to find out once I was already there. We would absolutely stay here again!

This was our first trip to the 4x4 area and it was amazing! The house was easy to find and perfectly furnished. There is one house next door but otherwise it is very private. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and it was extraordinarily peaceful! The neighborhood was very quiet and dark at night which was ideal for relaxing and watching the stars. Communication with the owners was seamless and quick. We took the kayaks out one afternoon onto the canal and thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely paddle. The dock at the house was convenient and a great place to hang out and enjoy a glass of wine! We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this lovely house. Although it has been said before, I’ll concur that you must have a 4-wheel drive to access the house. As another reviewer stated, it is easiest to drive all the way up the beach until you reach the “Shark Rd” ramp. GPS may direct you off the beach and into the neighborhood but the beach is easier to drive on than the other roads if it has been raining (they can have massive deep puddles). It’s a great adventure and I can’t recommend this vacation spot enough!

Incredible week on the Outer Banks. The 4x4 area of Carova Beach is like no other place we have ever been and this house made it all the better. It was an easy walk to the beach or a quick trip in the truck with all of our beach gear. We took the kayaks off the dock out onto the canals and Knotts Island Bay - and it was beautiful. We saw the wild horses every day. Great place to get away from it all, but with all the comforts of a fully stocked spacious home. Had it all - hot tub, multiple decks, screened-in porch, washer and dryer, kayaks, dock, and horse visitors. We can't wait to go back!

We had a great stay! The place was as described, nice living room and dining room space. It was nice being on the canal--we enjoyed having our dinner on the picnic table by the dock every evening. And just a very short drive to the beach (walkable, but not with a 2 year old and 5 year old and a ton of beach gear)

We stayed here with 4 adults and 3 kids (I wouldn't recommend more than that). The house is perfect for a week-long beach vacation. The downstairs/outdoor shower and water hose made post-beach kid-cleaning much easier. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Corolla, so stop at the Food Lion and buy what you need before deflating your tires and heading in. You can drive along the beach all the way to Shark Road, which connects most directly the beach to the Property. Google Maps does not show this Shark Road connecting to the beach, and tries to have you pull off the beach early and drive about a mile through the neighborhood.. The roads in the neighborhood were completely flooded due to all the rain--so make sure you bring a proper 4x4 if the area has had a lot of rain. I've got a snorkel, and it reduced my stress significantly... had I not had one, I would have been worried! (twice we saw water come up over the hood and strike the windshield). If it hasn't rained a lot, any 4x4 will do. The beach typically fills up around 10am-11am, so I recommend claiming your spot by 9:30am. The beach "filling up" means a car/family every 50-100 yards--so even when it's full, you've still got WAY more room than on non-drivable beaches. Also, most folks depart the beach around 4pm. One of our favorite things to do was to take our dinner out to the beach, and enjoy the 5:30pm-7:30pm timeframe. Almost no people, less sun, and wonderful temperatures. Also, the hot tub & screened in porch were great. Downstairs there's an extra fridge & freezer, as well as a washer and dryer (which got plenty of use). The house had lots of linens/towels and very clean bathrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped. The big gas grill worked wonderfully. There are also a couple of kayaks, though we did not use them. All-in-all, this was a great house, in a great spot, with great amenities. Saw horses (sometimes up close) every single day. A single family will totally love this place--it was a great price & value.

My family of 4 really enjoyed staying at this home for a week at the beach. Very quick and easy access to Carova Beach from the house, and it was very clean and convenient overall. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

We loved the location so secluded and private. It’s a hike up the beach which we were prepared for. Perfect place to stay if you want to be socially distant. The owner didn’t list that he has a pull out couch and we were pleasantly surprised by that. Beds were comfy and the water pressure was awesome. Thanks!

Trip to nearest restaurant or grocery store was a 30 minute plus ride because of a 10 mile ride on beach required to reach rental. Would have never rented had this been disclosed.

A great place to get away from the stress it feels like we are on a secluded island with all the real world amenities like WiFi even our kids which are teens enjoyed spending time with family playing games and just sitting around cracking jokes on each other Thanks to The Capps Spencer and Kelly who really turned our Family Vacation into the best ever you guys really go above and beyond to satisfy our time here.

We enjoyed staying at this property. It was a short drive to the beach, and we saw horses on the beach every day. We really enjoyed kayaking in the canal. The owners texted us several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

This is a very nice place and is decorated very nicely, very clean they kitchen has everything in it you need, the bedrooms are well appointed, it has a very nice grill and hot tub that works great, you can get to the beach in about 60 seconds in a truck, I would definitely rent from Mr Capps again and recommend to others...

All I can say is the pictures do not do the house justice. The place is VERY clean and well maintained house. It has a fully stocked kitchen, the bedrooms are all good sized with good beds, the owner provided all linens and towels. It has wifi that works. The location is great we really enjoyed sitting out on the dock and deck in the evenings. It also has a huge screened in porch. I had a few small questions during my stay and the owner promptly replied to all of them. I can't say enough about our stay it exceeded all of my expectations. I will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect weather, great location, house was perfect.... could not have been better !

We have vacationed in Carova for the last 3 years or so. Our first time staying here and we couldn't have asked for a better place. The home was spotless clean. Plenty of room inside and out to spend your non beach time. We watched the evening storms roll through from the screened porch or the covered bottom deck in the rocking chairs or the hot tub (especially nice after surf fishing all day). From the dock while fishing we saw horses drinking/crossing the canal almost every day with the white egret's riding along on their backs - so funny. The home is close to the beach - it's just a straight shot down one road and you go right past the fire station if you need ice. The outdoor shower was great to get all the sunscreen and sand off. The owners were quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great house, lots of space, three bedrooms two bathrooms, outdoor shower. Great deck with gas grill and a screened-in porch. All overlooking the canal. We did not have a boaty, but there was a dock. Super peaceful and quiet. Hot tub was nice. Communication was easy via txt and web with owner, super responsive. Kitchen, dining and living area are all open concept and couches and chairs all comfortable. Hose is outside to hose down sandy feet and legs after a day at the beach. We drove to the beach for the afternoons, but it is walking distance and we walked down about 4 mornings to watch the sunrise, and once to watch the moon off the ocean. Beds are comfortable, slept really well. Ample space for socializing and relaxing. Really loved it.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on Carova Beach. This was our first time on the 4x4, and this property made it all that much better for my family of 6. Beautiful view of sunsets and waterway.
