The house has plenty of room to stretch out and lots of activities to keep you busy! The view & dock are perfect!

Spacious house with a beautiful view on the lake. The house was perfect for us, plenty of room for everyone. A big dock in the backyard to do some fishing, light the fire pit to make s’mores at night with the kids. If it’s raining outside, there’s a pool table and a ping pong table inside. Scott (the host) was awesome, stayed in contact with me the whole time to make sure everything was ok. He let us check in early and even checked out late, he told me I could stay as long as I wanted on check out day. Great house, great host! Would definitely book with them again!

The house is perfectly located on the main lake. We swam, fished, had a wonderful time. Host checked in with us. We go to lake Gaston every year. We will be back again Thanks we had a great time

We so enjoyed our week here. The views are fabulous, and the boathouse is a short, relatively flat walk across the lawn—no crazy stairs, which was a plus for the older members of our group. Very close by boat to the marina, and close to grocery store by car. We spent much of our time at the boathouse. The Sun shades kept it from getting too hot, and the water off the end of the dock is deep enough for lots of fun play. We look forward to future stays!

We have stayed in this home for vacation the last two years and love it, plenty of room for our group and the dock and lake views are amazing..

Property was fine, but when family retired at 10pm on first night there were no linens or towels, had to do a fire drill to find linens at another lake house and bring them over late at night. Checked my invoice and noticed that I had paid for linens as part of host fee. Host refunded the linen fee but for all we went through this seemed like to little to late.

We had a great time. Those that participated in the retreat came out very happy

We booked very last minute "off-season" and the owner made sure the property was clean and had landscapers come out quickly before our arrival - very impressed and grateful. The location was ideal, pier was amazing and house was in great condition. It can sleep so many ppl that we are considering booking again with our extended family. Highly recommend, this house will not disappoint, and I"m very picky and OCD. :) Thank you owners for a wonderful stay!

We had a great time at this clean house right on the lake. Great communication with the owners. We liked this house so much we hope to book it for the same time next year.

I want to say that this is the perfect place for family and friends to gather and have the greatest of times.

This house was perfect for a family gathering celebrating my sister's birthday. It was spacious, beautiful and peaceful. We want to come back in the summer!

The house was freshly painted and always clean. The check-in/out process is perfect and convenient. This is out 3rd or 4th year staying and we always enjoy it!

The entire family of 18 had an amazing time. We all enjoyed the dock, caught a few fish and fire pit. My son and girlfriend enjoyed the kayaks. The proper is amazing and kitchen is well stocked. Just remember the sheets and towels(not provided). The only problem is getting trash out on Sunday. Dump opens at 11 and need to be out before that.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed sitting on the dock and fire pit. My friend and daughter used the kayaks and enjoyed the beauty of the lake. My only suggestion would be to have a box for the cushions down on the dock and maybe on the deck. This way you can ask the guests or cleaning crew to store them when not in use. They were a little dirty.

We booked this property for our church retreat for 18-20 ladies, we ended up having 19. The host sent a text letting us know the time of sunrise the next day and seemed very friendly. We had plenty of room for gathering in the living room, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is stocked well with everything you need to cook. We were comfortable and there are plenty of beds. The pool table downstairs was a big hit. The outside areas are very nice and well kept. The view of Lake Gaston is absolutely beautiful. It’s a very peaceful property with plenty of privacy from neighbors thanks to trees, shrubs and bushes. The only issue we ran in to is having only one bathroom downstairs with so many beds/people down there - but that was minor compared to everything we loved about this place. Many of the ladies asked for the link or mentioned that they would love to go back to the exact same house again. Thank you for being so easy to work with and accommodating for our large group.

We stayed at Timberlane Retreat with two other families. The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 6 kids - plenty of space to spread out, with comfortable furniture. We also appreciated having the adult bedrooms upstairs, and kids downstairs. The house definitely has some circa-1980s charm, which to us (a bunch of 80's kids) felt cozy and comfortable. :) The sunroom, with its bank of windows, was a perfect place for morning coffee and crafts, and to watch the lightning that put on a show during a storm one evening. The kitchen has been beautifully renovated and was very well stocked with everything you could need, including basic spices, cooking spray, etc. A bonus was having both a carafe coffee maker and a Keurig. The dock and dockhouse are AWESOME and the owners have really thought of everything there, from the rug and shades that kept it comfortable in the sun, to the nice Adirondack chairs, and the outdoor speakers and the sound system in the dockhouse. We did a lot of swimming and fishing off the dock, and caught some huge catfish along with bass, bluegill, etc. The location of this house is ideal, right on the main lake with gorgeous views and a short boat ride to The Pointe marina bar/grill. Food Lion is a 5 minute drive away which is super convenient. The only constructive feedback I have is: 1) A few rooms have been outfitted with cool-toned white bulbs which felt harsh and unwelcoming. 2) This house is listed as pet friendly, which is how I found it since we initially planned to bring our dogs and were searching pet friendly listings. It was only after booking that I saw the fine print that dogs are only allowed in the kitchen. We have two Labs and ultimately decided this would be difficult to manage, so we did not bring our dogs... after seeing the kitchen this was definitely the right decision, as it would have been a nightmare trying to keep fairly large dogs corralled in a crowded kitchen with a bunch of people trying to cook and eat. The side yard on one side of the house is fenced in, with an old doghouse; this is the only other place dogs are allowed. Unfortunately the fence is low enough that our dogs could have easily jumped over it. Given the restrictions, I would not actually consider this house pet friendly. 3) I was told the mattress in the first hallway bedroom on the left is extremely firm. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily book here again!

We had an nice week of perfect weather and really enjoyed the dock every day. We caught a few fish off the dock and a few more from the boat. The house needs updating in the full bathrooms, bedrooms and downstairs and could have been cleaned better. Also, there were a lot of spiders/webs, which I know you can’t do much about. The gas grill took an hour to clean before it could be used. We would go back for the dock and yard!

The entire family enjoyed themselves. Plenty of room for the 22 of us to spread out and not feel like we were tripping over each other. Everyone wants to do it again next year.

We enjoyed the lake side location. This is an annual trip for us and it did not disappoint. Everything was fine except for the gas grill on the deck--it really needs the bottom cleaned to keep the fallout from catching on fire.

We enjoyed our stay! Nice upgrades :-) Great views of the lake. Beautiful property. Well-equipped home. Bring life vests if you want to use kayaks.

Property is amazing and has everything you need!

This was a beautiful place and all the amenities were nice, but if you are confined to a wheelchair this is not the place for you. Although we enjoyed our stay, my sister was stuck in the house once we got her in. Should have brought my travel ramp just to get her on and out of the house. The “steep” slope to the dock was nice, but not wheelchair accessible. Unless you have strong arms to help push the wheelchair up to the garage it’s an impossible task. Thanks for the memories.

This was a great location for our big family to enjoy. The house is very spacious and had bikes available for us. We also enjoyed the family get together around the firepit at the back of the house.

We enjoyed our time at this Lake house. We are a family of 6. This house had rooms and beds galore. There was a spot for everyone! The grill was brand new and we enjoyed making s’more around the fire pit. We have outside dogs that were able to come and enjoy the outdoors with us. The garage was nice and clean. It was cool and a perfect spot for kennels. We would definitely come and stay at this house again. The location was perfect.

Everything was great for a group of college student-athletes. Just make sure to communicate with the owners about having linens and arranging bed sheets. That wasn't mentioned in the listing and was a surprise cost. Everything else was perfect! Thank you.
