Woodstock Village Carriage House
Carriage maison historique 1861 maison. Une chambre à coucher, lit queen avec salle de bains privative. Cuisine complète, ouverte salon avec canapé-lit et belle vue sur la rivière Ottaquechee. Situé sur un, discret cul-de-sac paisible. Cadre pastoral serein contigu aux champs de Billing's Farm, et pourtant à distance de marche du centre du village de Woodstock. Idéalement situé à côté de Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park and Mansion avec un accès facile à des miles de sentiers Parc de randonnée / vélo / ski de fond.

The pictures don't do this two-room cottage justice. Clearly thoughtfully updated by an architect's hand, the main room is spacious, with voluminous high ceilings and beautiful lighting. Furnishings, kitchen appliances, and supplies, as well as bed linens, are all top-notch.
But what makes this property especially unique is its location adjacent to the Billings Farm property's fields and abutting the river that flows through Woodstock. Private stairs lead to the river for summertime swims. The walk to the general store is five minutes.
To be sure we stayed here for an extended period and although comfortable for two adults, four may be a stretch (two are designated on a foldout and the primary is a queen), if only for the diminutive size of the bathroom, which is located in the bedroom.
For a weekend or a week, the location can not be beat!

We had a wonderful stay. The host was very responsive to an initial concern we had upon arriving. The property is an easy walk to several shops and restaurants and hiking in a national park and a working farm is very close by. The location is quiet and the scenery is lovely. We would definitely return.

The property was even cuter in person - the pics don't do it justice! Location was perfect for walking to town, hiking, and the farm. Comfortable and all we needed for a girls weekend. Definitely recommend!

I booked this place for myself and friends to come ski for the holiday weekend. ~30 drive to Killington was very doable. We had a full house and it was cozy, but doable for close friends. House was well-stocked and beds were comfy. We had one car and being walking distance to town allowed some of us to ski and others to stay without being stranded at home. We so enjoyed our stay and the town of Woodstock, and will absolutely consider rebooking in the future. Host was communicative and accommodating. Thank you for a great weekend!

Perfect place to stay for a couple looking to explore all that Woodstock downtown area has to offer. Was able to walk easily to downtown, Billings Farm, and Rockefeller National Park trails.

It was wonderfully located. Everything provided for a 6 night stay. We would happily book it again.
The only downside was we could not connect with the property manager. We just gave up calling!

Adorable cottage overlooking the river in the most ideal location!! Walkable to downtown Woodstock, next door to Billings Farm and across the street from Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Estate/beautiful trails!! Loved it!!

We stayed here for a wedding and it was the perfect location. Easy walk to everything downtown. It slept 4 adults, bed in the master and a large comfortable pull out couch. The owner was especially quick with responding to messages during our stay. Highly recommend!!

Nice location. This cottage needs a deck in the worst way. The mattress is shot. I literally fell out of bed and slept on the couch. The garage was not usable because of sll the clutter in there. Two smoke alarms were missing which is a big problem. We are talking life/safety issue here. In addition, i felt the fees and mandatory insurance were excessive. I would not recommend this property to others.

The location is great, it's under a 10 minute walk to downtown which is great because we we're going back and forth often. also, it's a couple minute drive to Billings Farm & Museum and some great hiking. The house was very clean. Bed was a bit firm for our liking, shower had great water pressure; all in all, no complaints.

This is a cozy 1 bedroom with a great proximity to downtown Woodstock. My husband, baby and I walked everywhere! Everything was clean and orderly. A few things to note to the property manager. We had trouble using the wifi listed in the welcome binder,, we were grateful for the window air unit in the bedroom as the week we visited was record high temps, it would be helpful to note in the description that there is no tv

This was the perfect size for two people. Great location to the center of Woodstock. Very clean and quiet. I wish there was outside space for us to enjoy our morning coffee but otherwise the place was perfect for us. We will definitely stay there again.

The setting was perfect and the space was very open, just as advertised. Very clean and well provisioned in the kitchen and bath. Loved walking around the area and so pleasurable to cross the bridge with the welcoming views. Very close to the main streets of Woodstock
Would have appreciated a heads up about shoes not being worn on the carpet ahead of time as we did not see that note until we were in the kitchen area. Nothing was tracked in however, we always want to be respectful of the owners instructions.
Still very cool mornings in early June. Bring something warm to snuggle in as the heat is off at this time of the year.

Cute house, Great location
We rented the carriage house for a ski getaway. The location can’t be beat - walking distance to town and Billings Marsh NPS. House was comfortable for family of 4 with 2 kids sharing pull out couch. Ping pong table in basement and river views were a great plus! Minor issues like broken bathtub drain and sticky doors. I would stay here again!

As picturesque a location as they come...
The town of Woodstock is dreamy. Just beautiful and magical. We absolutely loved our stay. The accommodations were wonderful and the host was so attentive and helpful during our stay. We suggest to add a TV to the living room and a few touchups/small repairs thruout the space, but otherwise it was just perfect. And the ice creme pints were a very welcome surprise!!

Cozy stay in Woodstock
Rachel's Carriage House is a lovely and comfortable home for a small family or couple to enjoy a few days in Woodstock. The location of the house is perfect, within very short walking distance to the village as well as hiking trails. The home was well kept and clean, with all the basic necessities including laundry and full kitchen provided. Rachel is a responsive and gracious host. We look forward to our next trip and stay.

A friend and I stayed at this great spot for the weekend. It’s a lovely apartment in a perfectly walkable location. Very comfortable and well-appointed with wonderful views. We’ll be back!

Excellent location: close bye but hidden away
The Cottage perfectly fit what we were looking for: clean, neat, comfortable. We walked to restaurants, parks, and shopping. Only negative was the sliding doors all needed to be lubricated.

Fantastic location & spotless home
We loved our stay at the Carriage House. The location in front of the river is peaceful, but it's an easy walk to town. Even closer is the National Park and Billing Farms, both of which are absolutely wonderful. The home was clean and had all the amenities we needed. WiFi wasn't great but worked well enough. Owner/manager is responsive and home is just as advertised. We would definitely return!

If I could post the pictures I took, you would see that the views from the bedroom and living room are completely obscured by trees. The pictures in the post must be many years old.
Also several of the pictures are of the property next door.
The wifi comes from the property next door and was non-functional unless my computer was in the bedroom near the router. We couldn't sit in the living room and veg out with a movie and a glass of wine after a day out seeing the sights.
I called the owner and she refunded one night of the stay. She said she would have someone out to fix the wifi but that didn't happen. It seems she lives far away and has not been to the property to update the photos in years.
That said the property was very clean and had great walking access to downtown and Billings Farm.

This was a great location for us, only blocks to our granddaughters’ day care, close to great breakfast places and I always love spending time in Gillinghams. Our daughter lives 1 mile from there. Loved it!

Great location and comfortable stay
Property as advertised. Lovely and comfortable floor plan and furnishings. Well equipped kitchen. Great WiFi and walking distance to town and the Billings Museum. Lovely views of the river. Weather made for treacherous front entry with melting snow and ice build up. Would suggest keeping ice melt or sand inside the door in a small bucket—we purchased ice melt during our stay. Entry light needs to be replaced. Ping Pong table was added bonus!
