au bord du lac Magnifique maison entièrement meublée avec vue sur l'eau de chaque chambre! Joliment conçu et décoré avec un plan d'étage ouvert, y compris 2 salons (chacun avec foyer au gaz et TV à écran plat), 3 chambres à coucher, 2-1 / 2 salles de bains dont une belle salle de bains Master Suite. Capacité d'accueil jusqu'à 8 personnes confortablement! Outre les belles vues, tout ce dont vous avez besoin est ici! front de mer Belle, l'intimité, le confort et la tranquillité. Télévision par câble, WIFI, la climatisation et une blanchisserie complète sont tous fournis. Inclus est un quai de 50 pieds pour votre bateau, grande piscine et la grande pêche dans le lac avec une variété de poissons. Elle comprend également des kayaks, pédalo, grande terrasse surélevée avec vue sur le lac, un grand patio en pierre à deux niveaux à l'eau avec une grande zone de foyer. My family of 6 adults wanted to see and experience the Cape Cod area and found this VRBO. We are frequent VRBO renters, so we started looking....what a wonderful place and absolutely amazing location! Although we did day trips everyday, our time at the home was also something we looked forward to each day. So many fun activities on Great Herring Pond. Superb!

I rented this house for 2 weeks this summer. I had family and friends come and go during that time. The house is lovely, nicely decorated and well stocked. There's lots of room to entertain or just hang inside and outside. The setting is directly on a very large pond. The landscaping and views are gorgeous. There were kayaks which everyone enjoyed, a large gas grill, fire pit. The photographs are very accurate.
I'm hoping to return next summer!!

Amazing stay at this Plymouth house! Host is very responsive and had made sure all needs are taken care of at the house. Inspite of being hit with bad weather most of the week, we enjoyed the views and the spacious house that allowed for the family to hang together indoors.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed this home for a week of relaxation and time together. The location is private and has fantastic views of the lake. The owners were so friendly and nice to work with. The area is full of fun things to do. I hope we get to go back sometime and would fully recommend it! Had a lovely time at our rental. Beautiful location on pond. All the equipment needed to enjoy the water. Kayaking was so much fun. Owners were helpful and available if needed. House was as described, simply beautiful.

Perfect Vacation
The house was great for our family, lots of space and the location of this house was perfect! Steps away from a beautiful, crystal clear, perfect temp pond. Views that were so serene and calming. The photos don’t die it justice. Would highly recommend and would love to return.

Great Herring Pond
Our week at Susan and Bob’s lovely home was perfect. Exactly as pictured; clean; lovingly decorated and very comfortable. Views from every window are spectacular, and the area is peaceful and relaxing. Pond was clear and our grandchildren (ages 17,12, 11) enjoyed swimming, kayaking almost every day. Location was perfect for us. House is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We highly recommend.

The setting was idyllic overlooking Great Island Pond and watching the sun sets. We spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying the view. Home was well equipped and clean

Bob and Sue super hosts
We had the most amazing time at this property! Not only was the lake and home just as beautiful as advertised Bob and Sue communicated well and were very accommodating as we were arriving around the time a hurricane was to make landfall. The communication with them was seemless leading up to the trip and lucky for us the hurricane turned out to be nothing and our trip was unaffected!

Peaceful oasis
Our family of four stayed here recently while visiting family in Plymouth and the Cape. The setting is absolutely stunning and peaceful. The first floor of the house is beautifully decorated.

We had another wonderful stay at Great Herring Pond! The house is very open and spacious with stunning views of the lake. The pond is excellent for swimming, fishing, and kayaking and we spent most of the time outdoors. Sue & Bob are fantastic and we look forward to renting the place again soon. Thank you again!

Coffee overlooking the lake.
This home is the perfect getaway for 2 people or 2 families. It sits on Great Herring Pond in Plymouth, you wake to the water lapping the shores, have you breakfast sitting on the deck and then have a lovely sunset, some spectacular. Kayaking on the pond. Everything is there for you. Open floor plan, gas fireplace for cold morning or nights. We did not use it but there is a separate living area downstairs: 2BR, Full bath and another living area. We plan to go back in the future with kids and grandchildren. And Plymouth is so much more than the Mayflower, excellent restaurants, beaches, hiking, biking. Fantastic, splendid, lovely, peaceful, relaxing, there are not enough superlatives. I would recommend it highly and without any reservations. No kids under 6, difficult to childproof.

Relaxing, beautiful home
I visited this property for a week in August 2020, the process of booking it was easy and professional. The property is wonderful, exactly what you see in the photos. The upstairs bedroom and en suite is the best room in the house but the downstairs rooms are also very comfortable. I went with five friends and we had a lot of fun, we did have a car so that we could go to the beach every day (approx 15mins away). The lake was warm and we enjoyed the kayaks and peddle boat provided (there was a small algae problem in the lake so we couldn't swim that week but that was a 2020 anomaly and the owners were up front about the problem). Kitchen is large and well stocked with appliances and we grilled outside every day. I have no complaints, if you are lucky enough to find availability in this beautiful place you should go!

Lovely house on pretty pond . Property was excess able to everything .Owners were very nice. The only thing we had difficulty with was the fact we didn’t know before renting that the boat dock couldn’t be used for our boat .

Wonderful place on the water
We loved our stay at Sue and Bobs house. The location on the water can’t be beat, on a lake but easy access to the Cape. On the few nice days, there were lots of boats out and the deck was wonderful to relax on. They were super accommodating and Bob even drove over to pull out the fishing poles so my husband could fish. I was able to work from the desk in the master bedroom without issue. All in all, a really great stay in a wonderful location!

A beautiful home that has everything you could possibly need. The view! We had 1 stormy day and enjoyed the upstairs LR, fireplace, football and family. Did I mention the view?! Very clean home. Bob & Sue are excellent hosts with all the little touches that make you feel at home. We used the fire pit our last night. Fun evening. One of the best times of day...sunset! Grab your beverage and watch the amazing show! We are planning our return. Thank you for an amazing week of family time.

Wonderful set up!
The owners of this property definitely got it right with the way they set up this magical lakefront home. Sitting on the deck, watching the children below playing in the gin clear warm water was awesome! Taking out the kayaks and casually catching 6 species of fish, including big smallmouth and largemouth Bass and pickerel was so cool! Walking out onto the dock with the beautiful breeze anytime of day was so nice! The fire pit on the stone patio lakefront at night was excellent! If you want to chill out and be close to the Cape beaches this is the place. Thank you very much for a great family vacation!

Better than we imagined!
We loved the house! Pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful home, very private. The lake was wonderful. We kayaked almost every day. Bought rafts and floated several times. Great location, close to downtown Plymouth but far enough away to really relax and enjoy ourselves! Sue and Bob have a very well maintained property. We hope to visit again. It was everything we wanted and more. I just loved it there.

Perfect!
We loved our visit. The weather was rainy for several days, but the view is not dependent on weather. It was enjoyable to watch the wind whip and and hear the water lap against the shore. The area has much to offer and we were never short of things to do. We enjoyed our say so much we may buy in the area. The lake is such a peaceful and fun place. The house is so comfortable it was hard to leave. The owners truly take pride in their house and do everything they can to make sure their guests enjoy their visit.

Quiet beautiful lake house
I look at alot of reviews before I made choice . I had specific needs, this was just not a vacation . My college age daughter had hip surgery up by Boston and I live in FL. Knowing the weather could be bad and I wouldn’t be outside to much this was perfect. Every view when looking out a window was just beautiful. We saw tons of birds. A glimpse of 2 huge red eagles swooping by master bedroom windows. Rabbits hopped around. They did put out the kayaks for us even though it’s not quite season so that was nice. We went out once on a sunny morning. Saw a trout in the shallows. The kitchen has everything you need lots of spices , low on condiments. But that’s fine. Beds were comfortable. And plenty of nice sheets and towels. It was so close to shopping, YOGA at local gym. They were very nice. Loved the drive to buzzards bay lobster pot. ! and did cross the bridge to cape cod. We finally found ocean view wheelchair accessible . Master bedroom has beautiful shower and plenty of room. We used the fireplace every morning to warm up the living area which could have one more comfy chair, but enough for us. The one thing that stressed me out was in the house rules it says to strip all beds and do most if laundry before I leave. I leave very early on a road trip back to FL so scrambled in morning and night before. I was afraid I wouldn’t get deposit back. Not sure yet if I got it. Have to ask husband :) I would highly recommend this beautiful home if you want on a lake. The owners were responsive and nice for any issue I had. The local cable goes in and out depending on the weather.

Spent a wonderful week here in November - this is our second time renting Bob and Sue’s lovely house and everything was great!
The house has such incredible views of the lake and every room is so comfy, cosy and inviting.

Fantastic views
This was a great property, but the magnificent lake views thru very large windows on the whole backside of the house were the draw. Having access to a peddle boat and three kayaks was a great bonus. Susan and Robert were great hosts and easily accessible. They provided much more than the average owner besides a welcome basket and paper goods. Lots of extra touches like night lites and DVR recorder. I would strongly recommend this property for a great vacation near Cape Cod without the crowds and traffic.

Unbeatable lake view!
This was our second year staying at this beautiful lake house. So restful and comfortable, and all you could ask for, including availability of kayaks and pedal boat. Even in the latest heat wave, the breeze off the water allowed us to keep windows open and enjoy the fresh air and fall asleep at night to the sounds of the water lapping the shore. Location is great, lots of restaurant and shopping options in the area.

A lovely house; works for any combination of friends or relatives
We stayed at this house for 3 weeks and so had a good opportunity to get a sense for the house and area. This house is so nice and is a great setup for having guests. We loved the open concept upstairs and all the glass looking out on the lake. The master bedroom and bath are one of the best we've seen anywhere. The landscaping with the patios, stonework and variety of places to sit and eat outside are also great, allowing for sitting in sun or shade. The house had everything you could want and puts you spitting distance from Cape Cod, bike trails, some museums and restaurants. We frequently saw blue and grey herons and Osprey along with lots of baby ducks and geese. Also some pretty persistent birds! Don't leave your food outside and walk away.
Groceries are 3 minutes away! Although the house is on a residential street, the positioning of the house on the lot provides an amazing amount of privacy.
One thing to point out that was a surprise to us was the wind. We came with kayaks, bikes and a sailboat and were looking for wind to sail. But we had multiple days where it was sooo windy you could not sail, certainly not kayak and we couldn't even sit outside. The next door neighbor indicated that the amount of wind we experienced was pretty typical. So, just know that you may have days like this when the wind whips up from Buzzards Bay and just makes being on the lake pretty tough. When this happened we left the house; went to Miles Standish State Forest or over to the Cape to get out of the wind. Certainly lots to do away from the house to help deal with the wind.
Wind aside we really enjoyed our stay and this lovely house. The photos are accurate- it really is this nice!
