We stayed 3 nights in Bearskin neck. Communication was informative and response timely. Easy check in, clear instructions with recommendations for everything- including parking to restaurants to things to do nearby. Space is comfortable and compact Kitchen is compact and contains everything one needs. The bed is comfortable, bathroom and patio is excellent for people watching. Location is incredible. Thank you for a great stay!

This is the cutest little cottage in the most picturesque locations. There is no shortage of shops, restaurants, or ocean views. I highly recommend breathing in that salty sea air and visiting this location. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was very clean. Matt was available if we needed anything and was quick to respond if I had a question. Would definitely stay again.

Charming location, quaint housing. Close to great restaurants, entertainment and adventures. You have to great creative with the parking! Different beach locations were fun to discover:)

Really fell in love with this place. Great location, can walk everywhere. We had everything we needed and more. Accommodations were awesome, very nicely decorated and stocked with everything needed to cook. Highly recommend for romantic getaway or room for small family.

Overall nice place. Comfy, clean and close to shops. Was frustrated with no on site parking. Must use public parking .3 miles away. Metered during day but free at night.

We spent a long weekend enjoying the Rockport and Gloucester area while doing a couple of college visits. Matt was great to work with. The location of the rental could not be beat. Easy access to great local restaurants and shopping..

We were looking for somewhere quiet on the water, and this was the best little apartment to stay at! You are right in the middle of all the shopping and just a few minute walk from the beach. Great little spot to get away from everything!

Kids loved waking up already on The Neck.

A comfortable base of operation for visiting Rockport as well as surrounding areas. The condo has 2 roomy bedrooms (with VERY comfortable beds) and a sitting and dining area large enough for 4 people. The kitchen is outfitted enough to prepare meals if you choose, but with the many wonderful restaurants in Rockport you may not want to cook! The location is perfect for touring the town. We loved the fact that we could stop by the condo to drop off or pick up something as we wandered around.The owner, Matt, was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any inquiries. In fact during the course of our stay, we met a neighbor, a tenant, and a former tenant - all who spoke very highly of him and the work he had done on the property.We also learned in talking to people that this location is great because it is much quieter than being on the T-wharf side of town. Here you are not awakened when the boats go out in the early morning!A few minor considerations: - The view of the town and people watching is prime from here and you can also see White Wharf from the condo but in a perfect world we would have liked a better view of the ocean. You can however walk to great views in a matter of minutes.- The only amenity in the house not roomy and comfortable is the shower. I suspect it might be an issue if you are a former linebacker for the Patriots.- As with many properties in the village, there is no parking included. We did easily found parking about a 7 minute walk away and you can park downtown free 6pm to 10am every day. Bottom line - a wonderful place to stay in a wonderful town. We love Rockport and would definitely consider staying at this property again.

This space was a gem in a one-of-a-kind setting. The accomodations were clean and comfortable with plenty of living space for two couples. Shops and snacks were a few steps away, not to mention the most beautiful scenery in the area. Parking was a challenge, but to be expected in Rockport on a holiday weekend. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for 2-4 people, comfortable, artsy, fabulous location, walking distance to everything. Loved the attention from the owner, great kitchen amenities, beach cooler bag, A/C, fan, TV w Netflix, etc, excellent wireless, fragrant soaps, shampoo and conditioner. Lobster restaurants out your door, as well as shops, shops, shops. Ocean all around the apartment....sad to leave.

Our apartment was awesome!! It was so charming and had everything we needed. It was centrally located so we could walk to so many things. We loved all the restaurants, shops, and ice cream! We were able to take an evening walk and sit outside the apartment and enjoy the sunsets. We would definitely come back again. A definite 5 star vacation. Thanks Matt!

Central, exciting, clean and convenient. The most comfortable bed my mother has ever slept in. A gem.

We stayed here the first week of June and loved it. It's a two-bedroom, 1 bathroom flat with a little kitchen. The beds were both comfortable - yes, we tried them both as there were only the two of us. The kitchen was fine for our needs. Although we don't cook much it'd be easy to get breakfast and/or lunch together and simple dinners (e.g., spaghetti) or baked casseroles wouldn't be a problem. Of course, there was a microwave for popcorn and stove for tea/coffee. We especially liked the location - just at the beginning of Bearskin Neck Road. I also really liked staying in an historic building - so much better than staying at a cookie-cutter hotel or motel. As I mentioned, we don't cook much and we found "Hula Moon" Cafe (chocolate chip pancakes and Blue Moon "benedict") and Helmut's Streudel for breakfast. And, for dinner, Roy Moore's Fish Shack. We also walked up the road a bit to Seaside Pizzeria where they have linguica and pepperoni pizza that we really liked. It was fun to go out and shop or eat and then have only to toddle back down the road to "our" place. On the three nights it was cold (early June came with a few cold and rainy days) the electric heat was more than able to keep us warm. By the end of the week we enjoyed having the windows open for the breezes and there was an AC unit if it'd gotten too warm. We stayed here for a family graduation (over in Lowell, MA) so we were about an hour away. That meant that we could explore on our own and the family didn't feel the need to entertain us all the time. Gloucester is very close and we visited Hammond Castle and Beauport over there - after hitting up "Lobsta Land" for, believe it or not, a great breakfast. The town is small enough that we quickly got to know the restaurant personnel and found that the same person who served us our breakfast might be the person behind us in line at the local Market.
