Super location with an excellent view of Friday Harbor. This location is close to restaurants and shops, we walked all over the downtown from here. Parking is easy and close. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location, easy to walk around town. It is a very noisy building. Did not hear traffic but can hear every door open close, neighboring room conversations and toilets flushing. Would have been nicer if it had better insolation between the walls and doors. Only 2 paper cups were provided for 3 days in site, but with grocery within walking distance we bought some. Shower is very small and water leaks out of the door. I bit of mildewing around the caulking but overall spaces were clean. Enjoyed our time overall.

The room was clean and attractive, as advertised. Only complaint was the extremely thin walls, you can hear a lot from the neighboring rooms. The host is up front about this with prominent signs regarding the thin walls and provides ear plugs for your stay. It didn’t negatively affect our stay.

Our room was clean and very comfortable. We ate some of our meals on our private deck overlooking the marina. Close to shopping and restaurants with a short uphill walk. We very much enjoyed our stay

I stayed in Lummi room. It was very nice, centrally located. Very nice deck with a view of the harbor and the ferry dock. Only complaint, no coffee maker to make coffee. Just a pot to heat water!

We stayed here after our other rental fell through and couldn’t have been more pleased! Great location, spacious accommodations and amazing deck with beautiful views of the harbor. You can rent all four units for a family or friend gathering. Will definitely stay here in the future. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Convenient location
The property is in a great location, you can reach a lot within walking distance. The walls are paper thin, you can hear full on conversations (and more…) from other guests. The information we received really emphasized the priority of cleanliness but there was garbage left behind in our room from previous guests. The bathroom is poorly laid out with NO counter space and the shower is really tiny, so be prepared for that. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer than the two night minimum.

The property is exactly as pictured. It has the best view in Friday Harbor and has very close proximity to the ferry/downtown. The room was spacious, well appointed and extremely clean. Other reviews are correct in saying the walls are thin and noise travels easily. However, ear plugs are provided if you don’t have your own. Honestly, we didn’t have any issues with noise even though all units were full. I don’t know where other travelers were staying, but we certainly felt like we lucked out with one of the best properties on the island.

Beautiful location and plenty of space

The Cannery Inn is very conveniently located just minutes from the ferry docking. There are four separate units - with one main door accessing the main building. There is a great outdoor seating area with wonderful views of the harbor. We stayed in the Lummi. It was clean and bright and while we didn't have a harbor view from our unit, we had a beautiful view of lush green trees and we even had deer coming several times right next to our small outdoor terrace. And from the terrace we did have a small view of the harbor. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. There are only two things that I would suggest an improvement on. (1)The bathroom, while spacious enough, did not really have any place to put anything. Some hooks and a small shelf on the wall, or a small floor rack where you could put a toiletry bag would be a nice addition. (2) Whoever built these units did NOT use any insulation or used the cheapest products available as there is absolutely NO soundproofing. When you can hear every word the other people are speaking in their units that is not good. And even at night, when all is quiet, I could actually hear the person next to us snoring (granted, that person may have been a loud snorer, but nonetheless this is unacceptable). While I realize you can't go back and rebuild the place, we did notice that the door to our unit had at least a half inch open space where you could actually see light. Perhaps they could put some type of felt lining there or something else that would absorb/block out additional sound. Luckily we weren't there much during the day as we were out exploring and the snoring only happened one night but if you were going to spend a lot of time there, or if the other guests talked a lot, it would be noisy. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay here.
