We had a great experience here overall. The host was very responsive but we did have a little lockbox trouble upon arrival--could be made easier by a better description in the instructions as there were two entry doors at the property. We also had issues with the garbage disposal which we raised with the host. Otherwise the property was excellent for our large group of friends and kids with easy beach access. We especially appreciated the beach chairs!

The house is beautiful, clean and specious. What we didn’t like about it was; we had to bring our own sheets, towels, and Toiletry. I don’t think people want to make their own bed when they arrive for vacation and travel with those goods. It’s also our fault that we didn’t read the details. However, for folks who don’t mind that, it’s an amazing place.

The house was great and less than a block to the beach. Restaurants within easy walking distance. Only complaint would be two of the bedrooms had AC vents coming out of the ceiling instead of the floor like all the other rooms. These two rooms had poor air flow and were warm.

We rented as a Senior Beach Week group. The house was beautiful and location couldn't have been better. The landlord was wonderful to work with and the neighbors were very sweet. Would 100% rent this house again. Thank you so much!!!!

This house was perfect it had everything we needed. The yard accommodated our dogs and that was a huge plus. The whole house was very spacious and the rooftop deck was great. Our family had such a great time. We will definitely be staying here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beach house! We will be back and would recommend to any large group. Great location in the heart of Dewey Beach. Spacious living area, good sized bedrooms with multiple bathrooms to accommodate a family vaca with children. We communicated with the property owner during our stay and he was extremely responsive. Thanks for an awesome beach week with tons of memories made!

The property is clean, close to the beach and well described but lacked attention to detail: only 7 forks, .side door deadbolt did not work, oven filthy and gas grill did not work. On the other hand, all the major items: dishwasher, washer and dryer, AC, microwave worked just fine. There is a lovely backyard and roof deck. The beds were comfortable. The question to ask - would you come back? Answer - yes

Everything was wonderful but I do have two complaints about the property. The outdoor grill did not work at all and the upstairs hallway toilet did not work and apparently the owner knew there were problems because there were two plungers next to the toilet. That was the main disappointment with the property because with 10 people it was a major inconvenience.
I am still waiting for my security refund check to be returned.

We had a great family vacation. The location of the home was perfect and as advertised. There was plenty of space for our large family the entire week. The owner was very responsive to a couple of issues. A lightning storm took out the internet router and cable, so while we were without both for 3 days, it wasn’t because the owner didn’t do what she could to get comcast out to fix it. The only other issue was that the house was missing the height chairs, but again the owner ordered a new set and it arrived a couple days later. All in all, we had a great time, enjoyed the house, and would definitely stay again.

The property was beautiful with large inviting common areas. The entertaining kitchen was an open set up extending into the living room. Plenty of outdoor space with seating to enjoy the entire beach atmosphere!

We rented this property for my dad's 60th birthday weekend and were extremely happy with the whole experience. It's the off season, so we were allowed an early checkin. The whole home was spotless, and we had more than enough room for 6 adults, 1 kid, and 2 dogs. As for outdoor spaces, we used only the rooftop on the first night when we had unseasonably good weather. The backyard also looks like a nice space, but we didn't use it due to rain/cold. My only suggestion to improve the stay for future guests is to add blackout curtains or shades to the rooms for sleeping. Thanks for a great stay!

I grew up going to Bethany Beach, but we had a Marathon weekend planned with 10 runners and family, so we found this on VRBO in Dewey Beach and it was the PERFECT spot. The ease of renting , communication, was surpurb. The house fit us perfectly as we were able to rent both sides and had plenty of beds. The house is comfortable, so you don't have extra worry that a china item from a Grandmother would be broken. The back part of house (sleeps) 12 and that was the house we had meals and hung out in. We were 2 miles (8 minute drive) to Rehoboth where the Marathon took off. This house was loved by all who stayed. If we do a larger gathering again this will be top pick!!!!

Overall we had a nice stay. This property is located at the most convenient location for a group that wants to go to the beach and enjoy the town of dewey and rehobeth. With that in mind, late night noise from the bar scene may be an issue for some groups though we didn’t mind. The rental is dog friendly which is a huge bonus, though we had to pay an additional fee.
We did have some rental issues to start. The property was not properly cleaned, there seemed to be a mixup with the cleaning schedule. There was also an inconvenient leak which required the property owner to stop by and inspect. However, in lieu of these things they allowed our group to stay extra time and use the adjacent rental which was vacant at the time.

This is our 2nd year at this property. The owner made many improvements in the past year. It is very close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Unfortunately we need to change weeks next summer and this house is not available any of the weeks that we can come. I hope we can find another place that is as nice.

Perfect beach property
Beautiful home great location. Responsive owners. We rented 4th of July week and the rooftop was great for fireworks. The rooftop railing was broken upon arrival causing a safety issue and they nicely came and fixed it right away despite it being a holiday weekend. Nice people. I have 3 stars for online accuracy bc the owner and I came to find out vrbo had some outdated listing information (the check in and check out time are listed differently in the attached rental agreement vrbo sends you and online , there is no foosball table ) luckily the owner was nice in figuring out a checkout time that worked for both of us and we appreciated that. Hopefully vrbo updates this so it avoids future confusion. The 4 bed bunk bedroom gets very warm despite the air vent but they nicely had fans in there to use. We had everything we needed at the house , everything was clean and were super happy. Thank you Lynn!!! Happy summer!

We had a great time staying at this house. The house was large and incredibly accommodating for our big family. The hosts were so helpful and allowed us to get in to the property early once the cleaning was completed. This house is just a few houses away from the beach which was great for our family and almost 2 year old to get back and forth so easily. We would definitely book this property again!

Great Location and a Lovely House
We celebrated a girls getaway here and loved how close everything was in Dewey. Restaurants, bars, and the best little bakery were all within a few blocks walking distance.
The house itself is well furnished with wonderful outdoor space, and tons of room for a large family or big group of friends.

Home away from home
This house was ideal for our family of 10 adults who recently stayed here in October. We occupied the 5 bedroom rear of the property for 4 nights. As a first time Dewey Beach visitor, the property's location was perfect. The house is on the same block as the beach access. Close enough you can walk back and forth. Restaurants and night life just a couple blocks away. Grocery stores a 10 min. drive and Instacart available. Although close to night life, the street was quiet. Maybe this would be different during high season.
The house itself was more spacious than expected. 2 huge downstairs living spaces with large sectional couches and chairs plus dining area that seats 8. Additional seats at the kitchen island. Outside there is a back porch (without seating) and nice fenced backyard with a covered gazebo. Additional dining and seating out back for everyone. House gave access to beach chairs and a beach cart which was handy since we were traveling by plane. There is a well lit rooftop deck with covered lounge seating. It is accessed through one of the king bedrooms via an exterior spiral stair.
The house was clean, had plenty of cookware and a large side by side refrigerator. The 3 king bedrooms were spacious with plenty of storage. @ kings have a full bath and the 3rd full bath is off the hall. The bunk rooms lacked some storage space but the other rooms had plenty to share. Bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans and 2 king rooms had window a/c units. There were also multiple electric fans available for use. A bonus space upstairs ( a hallway but very wide) connects the the bedrooms. It has a loveseat and storage and tv. A great little spot for additional quiet time. During our stay, the front part of home was rented. We were pleasantly surprised by how little noise could be heard through the common wall. Good soundproofing! The house really is great. My siblings who had rented other homes were jealous of the quality of our rental. Leigh is a super host. Our communications were promptly returned and my questions quickly answered. Leigh was also very helpful with recommendations for the area. I was unfamiliar with the "bring your own sheets" but the local vendor Sheetsatthebeach.com was friendly and easy to work with.

The most amazing stay!
Had an amazing, long weekend at this house. We got married on the beach in Dewey and we were able to have a small reception with family and friends at the house afterwards to celebrate with us. It was the absolute perfect house for hosting, with a nice sized backyard and an awesome rooftop. The 2 large living rooms were great for hanging out and mingling. The set up of the bedrooms was great, as I made the back rooms my "bridal suite" for getting ready the day of the wedding. I am so thankful for this house and property and we look forward to coming back for many years to come! :-)
