Excellent location close to town and vineyards. Parking was great. Wine merchant next door was helpful and very handy.
Probably could have done with an additional toilet, especially for large groups.

it was a charming cottage away from the hustle and bustle of town but close enough not to feel isolated
There was nothing that we did not like about the property.

The lovely ambience.
The front door gave us some problems.

Suited our group of 8 adults with 4 good size bedrooms. Clean & comfortable. Wine tasting was next door as well as cheese tasting near by. Nice walk into town centre. Friendly & helpful owners. Would stay there again.
It would have been good to have an additional bathroom or even just a WC.

A beautifully renovated, comfortable and very clean period home in an excellent location. There was enough space for 3 couples and one grandmother to come together in the cozy kitchen or the lounge room, yet feel nicely private in the spacious bedrooms with period details and comfortable bedding. We enjoyed gathering under the wisteria in the courtyard and watch the sunset over the hills from the verandah at night. We loved our easy walk into town to visit the farmers market, and being a very short drive away from the wedding venue our nephew got married at.
Traffic noise from the roads along two sides of the property, and the fact that there is one bathroom without a separate toilet, which required some planning to get our group of 7 ready.

Great set up with 4 large bedrooms.

The accommodation was in the same building as the Cooking School plus a short drive or walk into town.
The beds were super comfy and there was a spacious bathroom.
Although the cottage is lovely, it suffers from its location on Ulan Road which is noisy with constant traffic starting around 4.30AM. There are 4 bedrooms and those fronting Henry Lawson Drive towards the back of the property are quieter.
Although there were electric space heaters in each room, it was cold inside the building (no heating in the kitchen/dining room.
The cost for two guests was high but the property can easily accommodate 4 couples or 8 people who would share a queen sized bed. However, it's a single bathroom/toilet area and that could be challenging for 8 guests.
Nice outdoor areas but insufficient seating for larger groups.
The kitchen was really basically equipped, two frying pans an one saucepan, microwave and dual hotplate, toaster and espresso machine.
We brought cans of soup and naan bread to cook In during our stay but anything more creative would prove difficult, especially for larger groups.

The comfort of the rooms. The wine tasting next door. Very cosy.
I could not find anything wrong.

Large home suited for up to 8 adults or 2 families. Also a lovely touch in winter with hot water bottles supplied on the bed.
The small winemakers center is within the accommodation plus you could also book in for cooking class plus walking distance to the Gilbert Wineries and Cheese tasting just across the road

cottage clean and heating kept the accommodation comfortable during our stay
ideally an additional toilet would have been perfect

great location for cycling, the little cooking school is right on the cycle trails. it’s located a little out of the CBD but is an easy walk/cycle down hill to town. beautifully appointed rooms and spaces... comfortable, thoughtful and everything we needed. the hosts were friendly and informative, generously providing some basics like fresh milk, coffee pods. excellent value for money. suited us as a groups of cyclists with secure cycle storage available.
the one drawback for us was the early morning traffic as the cottage is on the corner of one of the roads out of town.

The location was great nice and close to town and wine tasting on the door step.

maybe fly screens on doors would be nice

Location was great!! Easy access to shared pathways. House remained lovely and cool considering it was a hot weekend. Beautiful, clean house. Very homely.
The beds are not great. Very hard and felt a bit lumpy.
Being close to the main road, it can get quite noisy with all the trucks passing through, particularly early morning.
4.0 / 10.0
the turn of last century house and garden
1. it was a traffic island between 2 busy roads
2. not air conditioned
3. entry details were incorrect. it was select TWO numbers not one; the icon to select was a STAR asterisk, not the key or lock icon because it didn’t exist
4. bathroom was directly off and through the kitchen, illegal planning in NSW jurisdiction
5. unreliable and inconsistent security . frequently the front door didn’t lock itself, contrary to instructions NOT to lock it manually. Inconsistent because all window flyscreens had gaps around them and held in place with 4 little manual tabs
6. i booked one apartment for one adult, the image showed an attractive bedroom. the cost I assumed related to well appointed facilities. Unscrupulously Booking.com sold me the whole 4 bedroom house. Un air conditioned , mid summer, unreliable security.
Please forward this to the owner Tamara Horworth.

The property was well presented and well maintained. Everything we required was provided. The host was helpful and very accommodating.
Car parking was a bit too far in adverse weather.

My family and I absolutely loved the house/accommodation we will definitely be back.
The house, the location, the history of the house, the smell of the cooking from next door, the hosts were so nice and friendly. Everything was perfect.
Nothing, no complaints
The accommodation was excellent

Comfortable beds, clean and well maintained. Loved having the coffee machine to prepare the early morning coffee.
The location is by the intersection of two busy roads which gave rise to traffic noise right through to the night time.

The Little Cooking School Accommodation was fabulous. All 4 bedrooms were large, clean and had lovely decor. There is a a small kitchen with an extension dining table to seat 8 guests. Wrapping around the property is a wide timber verandah with seating and hooded BBQ. The cooking school is attached to the house and run by the very friendly Tamara. Next time we will also do a cooking class. The location of the house was perfect. Within a 2km radius we walked to several wineries, a distillery and cheese tasting. On the same property as the house is The Wine Maker’s Tasting House and a Christmas Shop. Town was close by with great cafes and shopping. Definitely recommend this place to stay.
The only negative, although minor was that there’s only one bathroom and toilet for 8 people to share.
